Hi guys,
i have this very weird problem with my S4. The mobile Internet (HSDPA or H+ symbol) is very, very picky and unreliable when used. The device is rooted so i installed Xposed & module to monitor traffic usage and what i noticed is,that it transfers in "bursts". There is up&download, then it stops for a few seconds, nothing happens, then there are short bursts with data transmission again. Anyone got an idea what is causing this? The device uses Stock kernel if that helps and the last 4.4.2 firmware
Thank you in advance

Hi All,
I've had an L7 for a while now. Since about 2 months I started experiencing connection problems with data connection. The phone very frequently drops HSPA to Edge then 3G to nothing then goes back to HSPA again. It is a bit irritating but I lived with it until now. Now I would like to try the new CM Rom as the stock ROM is embarassingly slow. To this I will need to root the phone which would mean loosing the warranty on the phone. I was wondering if I should first bring it to a repair station and have it checked before I root it or should it be a sofware issue which would be corrected with the new ROM? What do you think?
Thanks in advance for the help!
Hi,
I recently updated my phone to android 4.4.2. (official firmware KOT49.I9505XXUFNB9)
All went well, wifi works like it should, sms is good and calls too.
The problem i have is that my data connection (4g) is acting weird.
When i want to use my own connection on my phone like for Google play, facebook, games, web surfing, speedtest, ...., It all goes slow or does not connect at all.
But when i share this connection through USB and/or wifi hotspot there are no problems. Smooth as butter. No latency issues, timeouts, just as a 4G connection should be.
Thank you for helping and reading :good:
Thx for the 'help'.
Some news :
- Mobile connection goes from 4 bars to 1 if i switch from (WCDMA/GSM) to (LTE/WCDMA/GSM)
- Modem is good (flashed a few times, even other modem versions, but nothing works)
- I have a realy hard time to connect to any data network atm (3g and 4g).
- Modem and firmware version are the same as friends of mine (same country and provider) (Belgium, Mobistar)
- i had 4.2.2 before. Wanted to reinstall the firmware to get it all official again but the firmware was nowhere to be downloaded so i took a 4.4.2 and now everything is messed up.
The realy weird thing is that the data connection was the best at the standard 4.2.2 that was on the phone. Every other rom that i tried had a worse connection. (i tried ALOT of roms).
Dial *#1234# and attach screenshot.
Here you go.
Just attached a 2nd img from Samsung kies. Says (ORX). DOn't know what country that is, and i don't know what country code i sohuld take since belgium doesn't have its own code it seems. (Could this be the problem?)
Hi! I'm running a Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 from SMA Philippines supposedly having:
PDA: N9005XXUEND6
CSC: N9005OLBEND1
MODEM: N9005XXUENC2
Recently I flashed X-Note Galaxy S5 Port for Note 3 v2.5. I had a few struggles with the UI but I got through almost everything. I love the galaxy s5 features I now have without losing the Galaxy Note 3 features as well.
The PROBLEM:
Mobile data.
Connecting to the LTE network here takes really long and rarely unstable. My main problem is wifi hotspot tethering to my laptop. I used to tether all the time without any problems with the original rom. But since I flashed, I could still connect to my phone but my phone doesn't recognize it and the connection's data drops after 1 minute all the time. Please help!
Solutions attempted:
1. I tried flashing the modem md5 file that's XXUENC2 - same as the original - but it didn't change in the Baseband section in the settings. I'm surprised the data still works on the phone itself but only tethers for 1 minute then drops the data and the connection becomes 'limited' on the tethered laptop.
2. I also tried flashing the modem md5 file from the original Galaxy S5 ROM. It failed and didn't install.
Please help me! I love all the features on the X Note S5 Port ROM but this is my only concern! Please help! Thanks!
Update
As of now LTE / Mobile data is still very difficult to get but it does get connected sometimes. I try toggling the Mobile connection from just GSM to LTE to get connected. And seems to work sometimes.
My main problem still persists with the 1 minute data drop on hotspot. Please help! Thanks!
Update
UPDATE: On a side note, X Note's Ultra Power Saving Mode also restarts my Google Now Launcher and leaves it blank for some reason.
I've recently bought a D5+ and even though the first few days it was working fine, suddenly it started loosing Bluetooth connection with my Note 3 smartphone, Wi-Fi connection was limited or missing and also mobile network was dead. I've been in contact with the production company where they suggested upgrading the firmware to the latest version. That is what I did and unfortunately the problems are still there! There seems to be an antenna issue. I've noticed that when I bend the wear strap, the signal improves significantly but the mobile network is still dead. Any suggestion how can I resolve this out would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Hello all,
I'm experiencing a strange phenomenon with my Samsung Galaxy J5 (model number SM-J500FN, running Android 6.0.1) and was hoping someone might be able to help!
It works fine most of the time, but stutters and crashes whenever it's connected to one certain free Wifi network. This "guest" network is provided by our local council and is accessible in libraries/leisure centres/schools etc. Other friends with Android phones can use this free network with absolutely no issues, but my J5 slows to a crawl soon after connecting, and is soon unusable. It doesn't even reboot easily, and when it does (eventually), and I reconnect to the network, the exact same thing happens again. The only error message I've seen pop up during the stuttering procedure is "Touchwiz home has stopped working".
I stress again that my phone experiences no issues whatsoever when connecting to *any other network* apart from this one, free Wifi.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Or, more importantly, how I can address this issue? (This free, guest network is prevalent all over the area I live in. Sometimes my phone connects to it in my pocket without my knowledge, and it takes 15 minutes to restart my phone and be able to use it again!)
Any advice would be very welcome. Thanks for reading, all the very best.
P.S. I am by no means a phone expert, so it would be hugely appreciated if you could walk me through any potential fixes, I'm not brilliant with jargon... Thanks!

You can do one thing. Download the latest firmware from Sammobile for your model and flash it using Odin. If there is any problem with your firmware then this will fix it. I also had some problems with my phone's firmware so i flashed the latest firmware from Sammobile and everything was fixed. Sometimes there are some problems with the firmware which come by default with the device at the time of purchasing.
