Walmart Clearance

Anyone one thinking about buying a XOOM might want to check their local Walmart...just picked one up for $398.00 on clearance. Same price is available on the Walmart website.

Refurbished. Not a bad price though.

The new ones are listed in a different spot for the same price as the refurbished ones on the website. Item and price only seem to show up using the mobile web site...

Still too expensive, especially for a refurb. Their pretty much at end of life with new tablets, including new xooms, about to come out. They should be 350 at most. More like $300 or less for a refurb.

I don't know why the word "refurbished" keeps coming up...I walked out of a Walmart store with a brand new Xoom for $398.00. All I was trying to do was share information and maybe save someone else a few bucks on a Brand NEW Zoom.

Do you have a Xoom? Another android tablet? Just curious.

it is too expensive. I'm a day one wifi user, and i love my tablet and will be using it for years to come, but with everything else out there now it shouldnt be more than 350.

Everything is relative. What you say might be true only by the same token that the Xoom was too much from "day one".

Did anyone sell their S3 to get the S4? Can anyone recommend where to buy the S4?

Trying to sell my S3 in to Best Buy (they offered me $250) and then buy it outright (they have it listed for $700). BUT on the Sprint website and on Amazon they have it listed for $600. Best Buy told me now apparently they don't do the "price match" for cell phones on contract o I'd hafta pay the $700 which is total BS! I was planning on getting my S4 this week (tomorrow or Saturday) but now I guess I can't! Can anyone recommend where I can get an S4 (not eBay) that also has a buy back program + "price match"? ANYYY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED! Trying to get this phone ASAP, thanks!!

They will give you $262.50. The computers in the store only show good or bad condition not perfect. Tell them you saw on their website the perfect condition trade in value and they will check it. Also they don't print edition match on contract phones with is different than a off contract phone. Tell them you want to buy from them and if you are going to get the Geek Squad protection, which I totally recommend over Sprint and Assurion, tell them you also want that. But you will just order from Amazon if you have to. Also talk to a Samsung rep in the store they will probably talk to the manager and do the price match. This is exactly how I did everything.

What about paying $700 from Best Buy?! Kinda dumb I'd rather sell it on eBay for $300+ (and have them take around $30 for selling fee) and only have to pay $600 through the Sprint website or even Amazon. I just want it tomorrow or sometime before the week ends and I won't be able to do that the way I just said. I'd hafta wait a week or so. Yes I am a very impatient person!

Well the mall (where Best Buy is) is like 30min away from me and I don't want a wasted trip there... so I literally JUST got off the phone with them and the girl didn't seem to know what she was talking about, but as I stated in the OP they said they don't do price match for on contract phones.

What do you mean buying it off contract?? I'm not though... right lol? I currently have a contract with Sprint for 2yrs but am only one yr into it but want this phone so technically I'm buying it on contract right... I'm getting confused now

You are in the middle of a contract so yes you are paying full price off contract. What you want Best Buy to do is match Amazon's price of $599 for the off contract s4. If you were buying a on contract agreement phone thats when you get the huge discount. Trust me I got the S2 the day it came out and since then the Galaxy Nexus, S3, and now the S4.

It doesn't mean your contract ends or anything just that you aren't getting the discount and paying full price, then they will price match Amazon. They get confused to because not many people do this. Thats why I said make it clear you want it full price but with a price match. And throw in the Geek Squad, It's $10 a month with unlimited replacements with no deductible, just don't lose your phone, they don't cover that.

OK lemme get this straight, and hopefully when I go to Best Buy tomorrow it's not a wasted trip lol..... So what you want me to do (and what you did to get your S4 from Best Buy and got them to price match it??) is: go to Best Buy tomorrow and tell them that I have an S3 that I want to sell into them, then I say I would like to purchase the S4 off contract and I would like them to price match Amazon/Sprint's price of $600 because I really wanna get it from Best Buy and get their Geek Squad protection. If I got that right.... that should work and I should walk out of Best Buy tomorrow with my new S4 for $599 (plus tax)?!?! Thanks!

If they argue ask for a manager and show them there price matching policy which I pulled from there website. It shouldn't come to that but it is their policy. I price match a lot there because I prefer Best Buy over any other stores. In fact I have a interview with there mobile department tomorrow. LOL.

Yes, exactly what I did. I was told the whole we don't price match thing early on when I was thinking about buying the S4 then when I was actually about to buy it I did my research and went to a store with a Samsung rep who knows me fairly well and got the breakdown that they would do all of this once I made it clear about the off contract stuff. Also they don't care what the carrier price is just say Amazon because its a store. Sprint can kind of do what they want sometimes because they are the carrier.

LIST for free. No such thing as free selling on eBay lol. I just sold a bluetooth keyboard for $20 and they took a dollar or two from it in my account fees.

Are you against an early upgrade? That's what I did and paid $332 total.

They just need the phone and charger. You don't have to have a charger but you won't get perfect condition without it. Also the S4 has the awesome 2amp charger, one of the best features on this phone is the quick charge I think.

I don't think price alone affected low sales. Poor marketing. This was meant to compete with other flagship phablets. And they did a piss poor job. For the average person they don't care about "pure android" or timely updates. They want the latest and greatest. Seems like Google didn't do much to market this phone for people outside of the people who already have/own/want a nexus. Nexus crowd expect a cheaper price and were turned off by the size. If Google wanted this to sell better they should have marketed as a competitor to the iPhone 6+ and Note 4.

I coincidentally was purchasing one from the Play store when this price change occurred. Was looking at Amazon Warehouse deals and noticed new 64gb were the same price.
Wanted to swait and see what the next Nexus 5 had in store, but my Galaxy Nexus is finally croaking and well past its prime. Should have a new phone this evening. Then time to cut my Sim and wait for Google Fi so I can cut VZW.

They will reimburse you if you have a recent buy through them, got mine a week ago n they helped me out which is great!!

I just got off the phone with Google. They had my joy on a yoyo string. First it was yes we can refund. then no we cant, because you're out of the 15 day refund period( by 1 day!!!). So I told her I havent connected it because of waiting on project fi. But also explained i was looking to maybe get the S6 and just return the nexus 6. I continued to tell her I saw online that google dropped the price and some people have gotten the difference refunded. She spoke to the manager and he said "no don't lose the sale just refund the difference"
So the $150 is suppose to post in my account in 2days.
Fyi there's a 15 day refund policy. they can work around that if you threaten to return the phone. Also. I'm sure if it's been more than 30days it won't work either way.

If anyone is looking to get the Fire in the US, ordering it from Best Buy online for in store pickup is the best way to go. I ordered it this morning and it is already in store whereas amazon has it backordered until December 17th+. You could probably cancel your orders and buy it this way instead.

Yes. Same price. Much more convenient IMO.

UPS says mine arrives on Monday. I don't think I've ever been so excited to get a $35 gadget, haha.

Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but the price was too good to pass up.

One of mine arrived yesterday, the other should come around the 30th.
Anyway, this is a pretty good device so far. I made sure to replace the Fire OS with CM12.1 and now it really flies compared to the original Kindle Fire. At first I was concerned with the resolution, but now I'm fine with it not being 720P. I mean for $35 I can't really have it all.
Also I would suggest using the Supertool posted in the index.

I am curious where all of you are buying your axon 7 from. I preordered on Amazon ( ion gold). I know there are deals elsewhere that give freebies when buying the axon 7. I just prefer Amazon. How about you all?

Well, crap. Looks like Newegg changed the headphones from the $200 ones to the $50 ones and B&H now is only offering a $25 gift card rather than a $75 card. Are they both just pulling a bait and switch or were those other deals only for yesterday?

looks like the same headphones but newegg just has them on sale for $50. Face it no one would probly pay $100 for those anyway lol...

I jumped the gun and pre-ordered from ZTE. Wished I have waited for Newegg's headphone deal. I chose quartz grey so hopefully by then ZTE would already made the decision to allow unlocking bootloader.
ZTE, please listen to developer community!

Yeah ill probly return it if they dont unlock the BL withing my return window and it comes 8/17 baring New Nexus News lol

Yeah, I don't know what the deal is. I posted links directly from Amazon but it keeps cutting them down. If you go to amazon and search for "Monster DJ", there are two different versions. Either that or one is intentionally overpriced but yesterday, it had a different description of the headphones. I don't know, something about both deals being reduced puts me off preordering altogether so I'm going to pass on the preorder, I think.

its probly just them price matching each other really or possibly ZTE said okay for the first 500 preorders you get this is the price we will sell them to you, you can throw in extras to get them to sell at full cost but after that thats it. So they both sold all their discounted preorders and readjusted the freebies. Both seem to give you $50 in freebies now with neweggs $50 headphones and B&H with a $25 gc and $25 samsung headset.

NE since no taxes for NYC.

just made some calls. B&H said their first intake of the gold axon 7's will be the day of or before pre-order. They said they were getting 100 of them. I ordered one on B&H on 7/18. I was number 230. They said my order would be fulfilled on the second round of shipments which would be one to two weeks after release. I called ZTE and they said all orders will be shipped the day of release. I canceled my B&H order and ordered through ZTE, today, 7/19.

First off, I do realize that the quoted $200 price is MSRP and nobody really willingly pays that price. Secondly, highly doubt these are $200 headphones - both price and quality.
With that said - I don't think they "swapped" headphones? Maybe its just a discount on the white colour? When I check the Newegg page, the same N-Pulse headphone is still listed.

Up here in Canada, the Black version is selling for $99 CAD on Amazon.ca.
