Just found this deal. Unlocked for $599, best price I have found. Anyone dealt with this place before?

Im only guessing here but I bet a phone vendor could sign you up for ATT with any phone, like an iPhone. Then turn around and sell that iPhone at retail to another person. But give you the 2 year discount on the Note.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Vendor signs you up for a new 2 year contract with at&t. They choose iphone 4s as your new phone. They keep the 4s and sell it for like $600 bucks. They are then able to offer you the note for $599
I would cut the middle man out and just do it yourself if you don't already have an at&t contract or are not in upgrade status.

The contract is only $200 cheaper. If you instead extend your contract with buying an iphone 4s, you'll come out far ahead. You'll pay $200 (instead of $400) and you can sell it on ebay for $600 at least then use that money for the Note. So in effect the iphone route is at least $200 cheaper for the same end result. That is assuming this is legit, and ignoring ebay fees (use craigslist.)

I also just called them up. I work in NYC and they seem to offer local pickup, so what better way to see if they actually have it in stock then to walk over there...The person that answered said it was out of stock and due back in, in about 2 weeks.
When I pressed for a more specific date, he just said he wasn't sure, but about 2 weeks.
...All kinds of red flags here.

Thanks. I was partially looking at it as a convenience issue (not having to deal with reselling, no fees, no uncertainty of what it ultimately sells for), but you're right, $200, or even $100, is a big chunk for convenience. But ultimately, it's not very convenient if "electropirise" screws you over.

This is a pretty good deal -- except no way to get warranty. Expansys USA has a great reputation on resellerratings.com.
Will probably get mine thru ebay so I can get a SquareTrade warranty.

Just wanted to make everyone aware that Amazon is selling Notes for $660 shipped. That is the cheapest I've seen ANYWHERE on the web. I picked one up today through amazon, fulfilled by the oem shop.
Hopefully I'll get a new unit that hasn't been opened.

Yesasia.com has it about $650. I only bought small things from the site,yet I feel it does business alright.

I got one today and already received tracking with it delivered Thursday ... it was transformersandgsmphones on Amazon. Paid $669 with 2 day shipping. Not bad!

Very nice! I wished it was tax free in CA. I also bought OM protection plan for 2 years. Anyone have experiences with OMs protection plan? Debating if I should cancel it. The girl that worked there said I can return the tablet in any condition within 2 years and either get it replaced or refunded full amount with a gift card. Sounds too good to be true.

You should see if there is a deductible and whether it covers lost/stolen and physical damage.
$54 off is amazing. I would jump on it before OM decides to exclude certain devices or cancels the coupon. I paid full price at Amazon the first day it went on sale (Friday). Paid $300 for Saturday delivery. Returning it and buying locally would be lucrative. I wonder if Amazon will price match if I call them. Tell them I'm within my 30 days and I can save $54 if I go through the hassle.

Yep. It's in their best interest to do so, otherwise I'd return it and then buy another for the matched price. They don't want to end up with an extra used device that can't be sold new.

Got mine from BB last week and used a GC for part of the purchase, called them up and they said they do not price match post sale.
But are you saying if they did give a refund from a price match after sale....and you used a gift card for part or all of the purchase.....you only get $10 back?
I also thought the salesman at BB told me when I was completing the sale, said "You can not return for refund, you can only return for exchange."
Of course it sort of went in one ear and out the other as I thought to myself....why would I think of returning for a full refund.

Yes, I had a $50 GC so it knocked it down from ~$300 to like $247.

$299 is better than $349. For some reason my shipping, even one day shipping chosen, is on Monday September 20 instead of friday the 17th through amazon as well. But for $50 I can wait a weekend. Add in the Samsung $200 promotion on my Note 2 and you get the phone for $99.00. You can't beat that.

Amazon releases the phone on the 17th...and I guess it doesn't deliver ok Saturday or Sunday... But lately amazon/UPS has been using USPS to deliver stuff on Sat/Sun so you never know..

17th, 18th, 21st, honestly those few more hours or days are meaningless. If it is worth $50 to some to get it on the 17th for sure, god bless them. I am fine either way, even though I plucked down the extra $3.99 for one day shipping. I may change even that. To each their own though. I bought the Note 4 for a myriad of reasons, but the main one that I am looking forward to is the VR headset by Oculus/Samsung which uses the Note 4 as its brains and screen. THAT is the real game changer among the new cell phones this year. There is not nearly enough attention to how big that will be. And that doesn't come out until November sometime. So I am fine with my Note 2 a few extra days.
My Note II + $398 = Note 4 + Samsung Gear VR.

I pre-ordered at BB yesterday. They said they would match Amazon, which surprised me. They also said I could use the $200 trade-in GC to pay for the phone.

I pre-ordered thru best buy. They are going to give me $200 for my Nexus S 4G!!! (It normally only would get $14.00 trade in) I also signed up last year for a $50 discount on my next phone at best buy. So if the honor amazon at $299, after $200 trade in and my additional $50 discount. I'll be paying $49.99 total with contract which I already paid into a gift card to pre-order it.

Ok... Pre-ordered. BB will give me the $200 for my ancient LG Optimus (heh heh). Here's my gripe... I was told I would have to pay the tax on the full price... $799 =$80... Arrgh. Total out of pocket = $164.

I'm really surprised if BB matches Amazon on cell phones, since on their price match page it states:

put 50 down for two lines on my account, wife wanted white while i picked black. Luckily bestbuy agreed to take 2 ZTE avids i had bought off ebay for 10 bucks each for the $200 trade in .
While this wasn't my first (or even second) choice of device this year, but it seems it will be the best one available and will be my first 'Note' device. Will be fun to see if there is anything new dev wise.

I'm stuck, do I do the best buy deal and get phone for 99 bucks BUT have to pay for their geek squad protection plan 11 bucks a month for 24 months (+$244) or do I wait and hope Costco gets it, pay 299 for it but only have to pay 99 bucks for protection plan that has no deductible so $400 up front? What do you guys think?

It really depends on the state / tax jurisdiction you live in. California, for example, requires retailers to charge the sales tax on the full retail price prior to discounts / subsidies. Other states may only require tax on the final amount paid to the customer.

I had already pre-ordered at $349. I called about a refund of the $49, and I was told to call back when I received the device, and I would be given a $50 credit on my account at that time.

I just got off the phone with sprint. They are not making me cancel my order and reorder. They said they will credit my credit card the difference paid when I activate the new phone.

Not exactly. Ordered it for my other line for my GF. I have it preordered at Best Buy and my work was nice enough to "donate" an S3 for me to trade in and get the $200.

I called order processing and asked for the $50 dollar refund on Saturday. The girl put me on hold for a while and then came back and said she would apply the $50 to my account. A half hour later I got a text saying the refund had been applied, checked and it was there. I am on SERO I don't if this made the difference.

Anybody have any idea why the best buy price hasn't dropped to $299 like everywhere else?

Something strange is happening to me on sprint.com. I try to do a pre-order, getting to the last part where I would charge my CC. but my total is $300 with only .65 cents in taxes. I'm in California and it should be $64. I already have an in-store pre-order and traded it my device in, but I am now pulling my hair why at sprint.com i'm not getting charge taxes.... 2yr renewal price!

Best buy has there own trade in program, it's different from the Samsung promo. You get a 200$ bb gift card for any working smart phone, and they say *any* smart phone, no 10$ minimum like Samsung promo. My friend is turning in an old Treo.
Also the Samsung promo will not be honored if note 4 purchased at best buy.

wow awesome find. i was just about to buy it from amazon but now I can get my girlfriend the ballistic nylon version from bestbuy for $1
Edit: they only have the 32GB? not a big deal but dont see the 64GB anywhere

I saved a lot of money dropping unlimited. I only have 17GB to burn now, but no biggie.
That was my only motivation. I even had free hotspot through Verizon with unlimited due to a low level account glitch nobody could find.

which shipping option did you select? Im traveling back to my parents house for christmas so im trying to time when it will arrive depending on the shipping options. curious how much the expedited or express shipping cost is.

I just did the free 2 day shipping but selected to Hold it at the UPS facility because it requires a signature ... so it should be available for pick up tonight hopefully

So funny when the phone you actually want goes on a sale like this for $1. Perfect

I picked one up today and got a $150 gift card to go with it. Now, I want to see if the device is as good as people are saying.

my girlfriend went through the checkout process early this morning, she ended up getting a $50 gift card for upgrading her line.

yup. gift card depends on what you do. upgrading vs adding a line or starting as a new customer all gave different values.

Sounds like Bestbuy.

I bought mine 10 days ago for $200. Went in today and Best Buy price matched it. I got $199 back!
