To Overclock-cpu u might need to use stock Voltage and change step 2.0 ghz and 2.1ghz volt more then do Benchmark and 2nd idea for this kernel is Battery saving + stability so used just few tweaks to optimize ...the output

MIUI wifi fixed?

question
What is the difference between ur su kernel and between ur new rom that u will upload ..... What is the difference between custom kernel and custom rom... Thanks

About flashing this AWESOME looking Kernel.
Good Day every one.
I just have a question. (This is my very first post on XDA so go easy and correct me if I say/post anything wrong or incorrect format etc)
I am using stock Touchwiz on my SM-n900, rooted with CWM v6.0.4.7 installed[N900UBUDND1].
Is it safe to install this Kernel?
If so, any specific instructions or warnings I should be aware of?
Also is it compatible with any other custom ROMS out there.
As I am aware, all I need to do is backup and flash via Recovery. Thanks in advance folks.
Cheers.

Installing kernel on N900
Dear @djmax81
I want to try your modded kernel on my note 3 n900, but what is the difference between the file named:
Stock-N900XXUEBNL8-Modded.zip posted on Dr. Ketan ROM page and the file named SueMax-Kernel-Combo-TW-Stable-v2B.zip that is in the OP of the kernel on Android Exynos development?
Thank You in advance for your detailed reply.
P.S. I never installed a modded Kernel and I am on Dr. Ketan L17 (Lollipop) ROM.
I already installed BusyBox but not installed Synapse..

Seriously .!!!! Guys is it so difficult to understand .????? that kernel name Stock-N900XXUEBNL8-Modded.zip is stock kernel with minor changes to ramdisk for Lollipop rom as there no way to make custom kernel for Android 5 as lack of Samsung kernel open source ... And file SueMax-Kernel-Combo-TW-Stable-v2B.zip is for android 4.4.2 and it will not work on Android 5 lillipop rom .

[Q] Questions on Faux 123 kernel with Oppo Find 5

Hello there, nice work!
I have a few questions, if you don't mind:
I have a rooted Oppo Find 5. I installed the Faux 123 kernel, but it has less features than the ones you describe (check out the pics),
I have now installed this rom: ALL in 1 PAC 22.3 Nightlies (which I believe has its own kernel, and i don't know if they are compatible), but the Faux works the same as when I tried it with the stock rom...
Any advice?
By the way, what can I do to improve the battery's efficiency with this kernel?
Thanks!!

These are the settings I have. You can usually underclock the CPU by 50-100mV without any problems. For the frequency governor I found conservitive works the best for me when trying to save power as it reduces the frequency as much as possible while maintaining responsiveness. For the CPU governor, userspace turns all cores on while runnable activates the least amount of cores necessary.

Hello, thank you for your quick response.
This is exactly what I was talking about. In my Faux I don't have things like Voltage, Z-control, etc... By the way, Do you have an Oppo Find 5? How come it is 1,7 Ghz?
Thank you!

No, I have a Google Nexus. The Faux123 kernel default overclocks the CPU and GPU.
Faux kernel only works properly in Oppo's stock firmware and deodexed variants.
Most of kernels in 4.2.2 doesn't have the same options like undervolting, z-control or even the same governors.

Yes, you have to install the kernel to configure it with the app, here is a download link to latest version. http://faux.androidro.ms/FIND5/jb41/FIND5-jb-kernel-002u.zip
Download the zip then flash it with recovery (must be through CWM or TWRP)

Faux's kernel only works with stock oppo firmware, if you want a custom kernel for AOSP or 4.2.2 ROMs you can try maxwen's kernel posted in original android dev subforum.

Omega ROM V12 Problems/Questions.

Hi all.
I just flashed my Omega ROM v12 First ROM Ever.
Now I Have a few Questions.
1.When i flashed the ROM i used CWM Philz to flash. I basically copied the Zip file from the rom and flashed VIA CWM. I have read on the forum and PPL saying after you flash the ROM you should put the Stock recovery and do a Factory Wipe. Is that really necessary ?
2.The Omega Rom V12 I flashed is a Bit Laggy , I read on the forum i have to do some CPU tweaks to kernel or Governer ...I have no idea in how to do that any guides ? Will this effect my battery Life ?
3. Flashing Other Kernels. Is it just the same as flashing roms , copy the zip file and INSTALL via CWM?

Hi Mate!
You can also try ChronicKernel for TW based ROMS. Yes, the steps to flash a kernel is same wh the steps with flashing a ROM. You go to your recovery and flash it. But I would have to say that it's easier and faster than flashing a ROM as you don't have to do wipes and the works. All you need to do is flash\Install zip and you're good to go. I saw the recommednation above of using Adam Kernel. Yeah, it's a good Kernel. I've used both kernels myself and from my observation, my battery last longer with ChronicKernel a little bit compared to Adam. But then again, both of these kernels are good. Enjoy flashing! :good:

Wifi hotspot
Hi!
I'm having trouble getting the wifi hotspot working.
It tries to turn on, fails and then I cannot reactive the wifi.
I have dmesg and logcat from the case, can I bypass the attachment/url-limit somehow?
Cheers
Hi, I get a green line on the left of the screen when I wake the device, the line appears for like .5-1s. I am on the L Preview B17. It didn't appear with the stock kernel. Not a big issue but reporting it.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Thanks btw for the kernel!
Hey Defconoi I'm really enjoying your kernel very tweak-able but the only issue I'm having is the aosp/l kernel doesn't boot on slimrom, mahdi or purity ( the only ones I've tried) yet your cm version plays very well with my device with cm11 ( the only one I've tried). I do have a slow binned chip in all fashions but I'm not sure why they won't take. I'm not super experienced with adb through the computer to run a logcat but would I be able to see why it's not booting?
Geko95gek synapse profile
I have downloaded the 92u-a2 profile but and placed it in the desired folder per your instructions. When I wish to load this profile, I get the error "unable to restore profile. Invalid file. "
Might this be because I am running 92u-a9 version of the kernel?

UKM is already bundled with kernel, so I don't need it to flash again. Actually I've already solve the problem
Unable to restore profile
I am running Frank build B22S with Unleashed Kernel 95u_a2. However, I can't use the profiles by gorilla p as it crashes every time I open Synapse. Is it because the profiles are for 95u and I am running a2? Thx.
Question:
Should I be using battery apps like "Du Battery" "Battery doctor: cheetah mobile". Or just stick with the settings provided in the unleashed kernel that I'm using and it already gives fair amount of battery usage. Still just wandering installing battery Apps would cough up while being on with the kernel that has it's own battery monitoring options and all.
Please explain. Looking fwd to answer. Thanks in advance.

Synapse is not installed
Hi,
i installed the kernel several times, also with the ukm deinstaller first and with super su 2.36 stable. At first i got a bootloop (i did a clean wipe before) and i installed everything again (ROM, Gapps, SuperSU, Kernel), then it worked but i dont have the Synapse app installed or i dont find it. I reinstalled the kernel again but the app does not appear in the app drawer or at play store "my apps". What is the problem?
Thank you for this kernel, we see that they put effort, Download it today and I will try to see how it works with the default settings, guys. Can someone tell me why HYPER is the governor by default? It is good? Which should change it? And if you have a profile synapse, (one .tgz file) is the grateful if you could pass me, thanks FRIENDSS

Synapse is in Google play. You flash the superSU, the kernel, ukm, and later you install synapse from Google play, synapse needs install busybox
otg will ever be supported on nexus 4?
nexus 4 - will it ever have an option for having otg with no external power support?,
is it even possible to hack?
Mine can not automatically sleep after inactivity. Tried to fix on Synapse but still can't solve the trouble. Advice please.
this does support latest 5.0.1 right?
problems updating
hey, just so you know, I am relatively new to all of this.
some time ago I installed 92u on my Stock 4.4.4 using Twrp, back then I think I had to install Ukm first...
then, recently, when i was trying to update to 95u-v2 I ended up in a bootloop so I restored my backup. Since then I'm having lots of trouble with synapse, most cpu functions do not work syntax errors and string-integer problems and similar difficulties in the hotplug-tab. I tried restoring it or reinstalling without any luck.
What am I doing wrong? Ok so obviously I can't just update the kernel the way i tried the first time. But I#ve also tried flashing the stock kernel using Wugs Nexus root toolkit, then reinstalling the newest supersu using twrp and flashing the newest version (98u) + wiping cache+dalvik. do i need to reinstall my whole rom?? I don't get it and I#m really sorry if I'm missing something really obvious
Can you please tell me what version i need to flash for rastapop? First time installing lollipop roms. Sorry and thanks.

Yes it is possible, but you have to use your boot.img or an kernel build for your device, because of Snapdragon 805 and 801.
@Tkkg1994 only the exchange of kernel is already possible to plug in my device?

No of course not, but this is really a MUST, without that it will not start for sure, but you may have to use the ramdisk of the SM-G901F and the zImage from your device, you have to try that out and develop a personal kernel would be better
@Tkkg1994 more so I can use your rom based, to pick up on my device?

Tell me what knowledge you got, how many roms and kernel you already build and then I will tell you if you can maybe do it or not
@Tkkg1994 I have 3 projects, 2 based on stock rom, and one is a port!!
Unable To Restore From Samsung Account
Hi, I've just installed NovaRom for Samsung s5 901F. It's running smooth so far, but I'm concern about Restore Samsung Account function which is not working .
I'm getting : "Download Failed" , "Failed to complete download due to network error"
I've restored all application by Google Play successfully, only Samsung Account Restore is not working.
Any advice on this?
PS: The Rom it's looking promising.
Thank you,
Marius

1. Follow this GUIDE on how to install TWRP.
2. Download ROM and copy to sd card
3. Reboot into TWRP (by turning off device and pressing power, home, and volume up buttons)
4. Wipe System, data, cache, dalvik cache (DO NOT WIPE SD CARD, or internal storage)
5. Install Rom
6. Reboot and wait 7-10 minutes for first boot. (don't panic, only the first boot takes that long, because the ROM is deodexed.)

Its allmost same. No notable difference are there. But it is debloated and have more internal memory space and little less ram consumption than stock one.
Awesome and bugs free until now !!
Rom is perfect and there's no bugs for now but we need some thing more important like the system.ui for note or s and separate zip file for changing the traditional lollipop bootlogo
Are you going to do any of them??
