Hello there, nice work!
I have a few questions, if you don't mind:
I have a rooted Oppo Find 5. I installed the Faux 123 kernel, but it has less features than the ones you describe (check out the pics),
I have now installed this rom: ALL in 1 PAC 22.3 Nightlies (which I believe has its own kernel, and i don't know if they are compatible), but the Faux works the same as when I tried it with the stock rom...
Any advice?
By the way, what can I do to improve the battery's efficiency with this kernel?
Thanks!!

These are the settings I have. You can usually underclock the CPU by 50-100mV without any problems. For the frequency governor I found conservitive works the best for me when trying to save power as it reduces the frequency as much as possible while maintaining responsiveness. For the CPU governor, userspace turns all cores on while runnable activates the least amount of cores necessary.

Hello, thank you for your quick response.
This is exactly what I was talking about. In my Faux I don't have things like Voltage, Z-control, etc... By the way, Do you have an Oppo Find 5? How come it is 1,7 Ghz?
Thank you!

No, I have a Google Nexus. The Faux123 kernel default overclocks the CPU and GPU.
Faux kernel only works properly in Oppo's stock firmware and deodexed variants.
Most of kernels in 4.2.2 doesn't have the same options like undervolting, z-control or even the same governors.

Yes, you have to install the kernel to configure it with the app, here is a download link to latest version. http://faux.androidro.ms/FIND5/jb41/FIND5-jb-kernel-002u.zip
Download the zip then flash it with recovery (must be through CWM or TWRP)

Faux's kernel only works with stock oppo firmware, if you want a custom kernel for AOSP or 4.2.2 ROMs you can try maxwen's kernel posted in original android dev subforum.

Hi All,
This is a CM9 original kanged kernel and jcsullins 3.0.8 kernel, just OCed upto 1512 MHz by default
Default Clocks
Max: 1512 MHz
Min: 192 MHz
Governor: Interactive
This kernel is purely just compiled by me, using cm9 tenderloin kernel base and version 3.0.8 from jcsullins github source.
All credits goes to CM_team,dalingrin,jcsullins,yjwong and all who contributed to make this awesome ICS possible for our Touchpad
Download: Mediafire
NOTE: It does not change your default boot, or name under moboot menu. All remain as it is, just you get faster speeds .
Kernel 3.0 is untested and work in progress, and constantly developing do not download version 3.
Can't wait too install, ill let u know how it goes......
ツ
Installed an running ultra smoothly. . . .
No complaints. . . .
Sent from CM9 ICS HP Touchpad
amazing work men
please gpu oc in next build
Gpu oc = more heat and load, less battery. Not a preferred way.
It's just a Kang from source, learning tweaks.
Just installed this ...seems to be working fine. Ran antu benchmark 5792 score.
Great work! Thanks for another kernel to play with - attempted Bicked Kernel and kept getting SODs and reboots, flashed back to stock CM9 kernel.
Will report back.

Working great thus far, no SODs or random reboots. Just ran Quadrant - I got a 3212.
Great work with the kernel - love the development community for our TPs. I don't regret the purchase one bit.
Thanks again.
Grate work dude. Keep it up
Is there any flashable wipe (i.e. superwipe.zip) that will wipe everything including ROM, tweaks, MODs and kernel?
Because I am still having few problems with alpha 2 (WiFi) and just by using recovery is not removing everything (i.e Bricked kernel)
Thank you,

ACMEUninstaller wipe everything android. Maybe that will be useful. But instead I suggest you flash update-ath6kl-v2.6-for-alpha2.zip http://techerrata.com/browse/cm/touchpad/misc file after rom install.
Bump for a great solution to oc your setup! Mine has been working flawless for over a week.. Seems to have a fairly dramatic battery increase as well.

Would anyone like to have burning hot 3.0.8 Kernel(WIP-extremely experimental)?
I do not know if it would work or not, but if there are people asking to try, I could compile one from jcsullins source.
All thanks to jcsullins (extremely talented moboot developer).

Trying to get new kernel 3.0.8
dalingrin, jcsullins(genius behind moboot development) and many more are working on new kernel 3.0.8.
EDIT: New kernel updated into mediafire.
What is the difference of installing this kernal or using Rom Toolbox and simply overclocking?

I recommend the stock kernel, but so far I've also tried out the Fusion kernel and I must say, it boosts the battery life significantly.
Recommended settings:
OC to 1.2Ghz.
Boost Min CPU value to 200mhz

Bugs found so far:
For anybody wondering about any bugs found in the Cyanogenmod builds so far, I can say with relative certainty that there're virtually no bugs, aside from the fact that the built in HDMI feature doesn't work. But that's a given seeing as to how most ROMS have the same problem.

yes, everything what u said is true, but i would say that users that wont a faster device should raise min frequency not max because device is much more responsive if min freq. is set to about 200-300 mhz, so no need for OC.

So basically, it is FXP's nightlies that are getting uploaded there.
And this should go in the General section, right? Since this is not any form of development.

Thank you very much faux, nice to see you here on the Find5 forums, you are one of the best hands down! I have used your kernels in just about every device I own, and have purchased your apps, they are great.
Any plans in the future to do a 4.2.x kernel for us users who use custom roms?
5 stars for faux!!!
Edit Flashed Kernel - Everything is working fine on my device, no issues at all. Just to remind some people that may not know this kernel will not show the best synthetic benchmarks results but its a performer! It will perform just as good as any kernel that benches really high in benchmarking, so if your scores are not crazy high, don't worry, go read about why this is. Faux has a complete read up on why this is, the main thing is that your device will run smooth all around and you will get better battery life along with great performance. Just because you don't get 25000 when running an antutu or any other benchmarking test does not mean anything when it comes to this kernel, from my experience, its all about user performance with faux's kernel. Thats my experience anyways.
Thanks again faux!!!

Hi there, I have some questions for you all... I hope that you can help me in a way or another because I don't really know what to do else.
I was looking for a way to maximise the battery life of my Note 3 LTE, so I found a good ROM and I thought it would get better at least a bit, but it didn't. It has only worsened. So I reinstalled the original firmware (Lollipop 5.0) and I rooted it, installing some apps like Greenify, Wakelock Director, Titanium Backup, Kernel Auditor, trying to configure them all in a good way, but the battery didn't get better, but it's like it was before (or maybe a bit worse).
So I found a tutorial here, on XDA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2579075) but it is for Note 3 N9000 and it doesn't advise me a good kernel to use. I used the arter97 kernel using the original firmare with Nova Launcher but I got some issues (since the first time I turn on the phone, an error message appears saying "Phone is not working") so I wasn't able to use the phone with it and I didn't know how to solve that problem so I put back the stock kernel and now here we are.
Now:
-I can change the kernel, using another one, but I don't know which one. Can you advise me a good kernel for Lollipop 5.0 which improves battery and performance?
-Does anyone know how to solve that problem with the arter97 kernel?
-I saw a lot of tests with CAF Kernel and CM12.1 with other phones and the battery life is really amazing. Is it possible to install CAF Kernel with CM12.1 on my Note 3? It would solve all my problems, I guess...
I'll wait for your answers, thank you in advance... and sorry for my English, I'm italian, after all... >.<
try Lean Kernel 6.3

Try Lean Kernel 6.3.
But before flashing it, make sure you flash Kernel cleaner via Recovery (you can find Kernel cleaner zip file in Kernel threads)
Also make sure to Wipe (cache and dalvik) after installing Kernel.

Ok I got the second and the third steps, but not the first one. Where do I find Kernel Cleaner? I got multiple results so I don't know which one is good/better :/
you can use the one here.

Use the Kernel Cleaning script from the below thread.

Ok I installed it and it's working fine. I'll try the phone now, thank you so much. Can you advise me a good app for reviewing the kernel's settings?
EDIT: Oh and another question: do you think I'd save more energy with the CM12.1 and this kernel (if you ever tried it) or with the stock operative system?

Based on my usage, I prefer Stock ROM when it comes to Battery Life. Its always better than CM. (but I haven't tried different Kernels in CM).
And I am not using any Kernel tweaking apps. Stock setting in Lean Kernel is the best.

Perfect thanks! Umh... even the GPU clock speed? 200MHz looks so lower than the 450MHz (hope I'm not getting wrong) of the stock kernel

yeah I left it unchanged and I get 6 to 7 hours SOT
I apparently solved my problem by half, the battery life is okay when I'm on Wi-Fi and it lasts even 2 days (4h SOT), not that good when I use 3G/4G though. Do you have any advice for improve even more battery life? I still use Greenify and I unistalled some applications that I don't use (ChatOn, S Voice, S Note etc.).
Now, I'm finally happy (all 4G) :
