hi @Rox thank you for your work for this device, i would be glad to have cyanogenmod on my phone, do you know maybe an aproximative date when it will be disponible on the device?
by the way the recovery works very well and its well done, very good job!
So now that Android 5.0 Lollipop was officially announced, what do you think, will Samsung eventually update the S3 Neos to it? Or will they again claim that it doesn't have enough RAM?
If they claim that this will be last samsung phone, maybe we will try with some custom rom because use 2014 device with 1.5gb ram and google declare that android l run on 512 ram.

I was searching for a way to make Google Camera save pictures on the SD instead of internal memory, and I found that it can be done with Xposed.
My question is, has anyone tried Xposed on S3 neo, does it work OK?
Also I'm curious what are the risks with using this.

Am using xposed, no problems. Use Pictures2SD module for it and KitKat SD card full Access if you use QuickPic for deleting photos... Other TIPS: GravityBox and XLED...
Any news about the rom ?

I didn't see any info about a bootloader needing to be unlocked. previously coming from a Motorola phone where you need to to unlock it before rooting, I was wondering if and when I need to unlock the bootloader. I read online that you have to unlock it before flashing a custom rom. also, if it needs to be unlocked, can it just be done by typing "fastboot oem unlock" in minimal adb and fastboot?

did you try the simple way like kingoroot from pc if not try
2. method is towelroot from mobile device
3. method try with odin find files on internet and give it a try(you can brick your device)

I have s3 Neo and used Kingroot to root my phone. It doesn't need odin and even computer. Simply install this app, open it and follow the instruction

only working method for getting root was the tool Kingo Android Root (http://www.kingoapp.com/). SuperSU installed from market

Hi, I have the same problem and I want to ask if you could choose the Gandalf exploit option because I downloaded framaroot 1.8.1 and under install SuperSU I can only choose Aragorn so I am a little confused.
It would be really helpful if you can tell me briefly what you did to root your Core plus, thanks in advance.
as I already have written in the post above -> I tried all known methods for samsung galaxy core plus (oneclickroot, framaroot 1.8.1 ....) but the only working solution in my case (SM-G350, Android 4.2.2, Baseband G350XXUAMKB) was the android root tool from kingoapp - now my device is rooted but there is no working CWM or TWRP for this model. I downloaded the framaroot app and when I select the option to install SuperSU it only appears the aragorn exploit... And that one doesn't work... do you have any idea of how can I root my phone?
It would be great to know if there is a method to root the Samsung Galaxy Core Plus SM-G350 and SIM-Unlock it (for example with a tool like GalaxSim, which does not work without root access)

Porting CWM to this device shouldn'd be that hard... I'd guess that the Galaxy Trend Plus comes with pretty much exactly same hardware and we could modify the CWM port for it or even flash it directly to our device. I'd try modifying the Trend's CWM but I'm afraid I'd just brick the phone...
From there on we could just flash SuperSU and our device would have root access.
EDIT: PS. PLEASE DON'T USE KINGO APP
It'll send your IMEI to chinese servers (apparently it's a bad thing, dunno why) plus install MALWARE on your phone and maybe on your computer too.

Hi, I'm wondering if I root my core plus will I be able to to remove some of the system apps which are just bloatware or are they odexed so they will return after every reboot?

hopefully Samsung will smarten up and unlock the bootloader, i remember i had this same trouble with my HTC One and then after a few months they finally opened up the bootloader. Im starting to regret picking up the Gs5...

Yeah I doubt Samsung will let us unlock, until then dynamic Kat is A good ROM to run

Coming from a Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505 (rom was before Knox, yay!)) I guess I'm spoiled for info. I didn't quite expect it to be this sparse. :-/
Only 2 threads concerning rooting and installing recovery on the SM-G870F..
Even though I've been here for almost a decade, I still find it unsettling every time i have to fiddle with the firmware.
And even more so, when Samsung is threatening with all sorts of evil (which btw by law, doesn't ruin my guarantee where I live).
So thanks guys! I'm now rooted (Chainfire -Towelroot doesn't work) and have made a backup with TWRP.

I flash the Last version of twrp with odin yes, s5 and S5A works the same on that, if you chose twrp for s5, will works for s5a

I confirm that twrp-2.8.7.0-klte ( galaxy S5 international version) works without problem on S5 Active ( SM-G870F).
You can not install this custom recovery direct from TWRP Manager from GooglePlay but installing is possible through Odin.
It was very hard to get any information and find clear experience about possible custom recovery for this model (SM-G870F). But thanks for you guys, it actually works now on my phone. :good:

After some research, I found that Samsung S5 Active (Bell (Canada) Mobility) has a locked bootloader
so I cannot install CWR or TWRP customer recovery. So I guess it Safestrap for me. But I can only find

Can I use either one of them on my device? My intention is to load Koolkit ROM but I need to figure

Twrp recovery is a way for us to flash stuff into the system or even whole new systems.
If you find and install that on your phone you can then flash SuperSU. I'm sorry I don't have this device yet so I cannot help you more. But I have done similar with two other Samsung phones.

As I understood, TWRP is a root-required application so I guess it would be totally useless to have it while my phone it's sel not rooted.
Wrong.... twrp doesnt require root. Youre flashing it in odin.

Im pretty sure he said. Flash twrp recovery with odin. Theres like some sort of file you flash with odin to get twrp, not with the apk.
Twrp is a recovery.
Samsung uses a pc recovery software called Odin. It is capable of flashing any part of an unlocked device including a recovery partition.
Since the tab 4 did not have a locked boot loader we can flash twrp without root. Once twrp is installed with Odin on the PC you can simply flash su into the device using twrp

I have not yet received our tab 4 in the mail. I am speaking from experience from other Samsung devices.

So, I've searched about this but I can't manage to find odin to fit in with my tablet (Specially my model number), So I can't really try it hoping nothing to happen specially with the warnings about not to use other files.

Hi sorry for a late response. But it seems theres a test recovery. I dont own the device and cannot gurantee you root for your model. As it seems your kernel is before june 3, im not sure why towelroot wont work. Have you tryed other rooting applications? Heres the thread and theres a post somewhere for the T231

Everything was going fine till the rooting part, USD debugging is alright but Kingo Root says no device connected.

Kingo root should install an app so it can connect with the kingo application. Perhaps searching on google and installing kingo app can help?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime G360v. I heard that it can be rooted with IRoot 1.7.9.2. When I try to download that version, it automatically updates to 1.85, and fails to root. What am I doing wrong here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll collect all the relevant methods that can find.. I currently need root on the MetroPCS version (ie... SM-G360T1) So I'll be putting a good bit of research.. If any one can up load .tar's or .zip's of kernels, custom recoveries like TWRP, or BootLoaders for This model or other SM-G360~'s then Please do..

Sorry for thw confusion. ...this TWRP recovery is not for the SM-G360T1 it is for a different variant. . I believe it was an android 5.0.1 rom.. flashes but cant use the touch screen. Its a know issue when used on SM-G360T1 with 5.1.1 ...

You use poland version? Because i found a trick for this version to root with supersu ! First install kingroot v4 from atachament , run it, try to root and you will get fail let the kingroot installed ! Hi @Creative18, could you post that file on some location I can access it G930PVPS5BRA1?
I was trying to root my phone and broke my system. I have tried with older firmwares but didn't work. I think I need to try with an updated firmware like this: G930PVPS5BRA1.
I will really appreciate your help.

If anyone does manage to root the RA1 version, please contact me. I need a rooted version of this phone with RA1 to extract the bootloader and revive a bricked version of this bad boy. You would be doing a great service to other owners of this phone with the same problem as me..

There already is a rooted U version thread. If you have issues with a phone just download the firmware and flash it in Odin.

Yeah. But they said they needed a bootloader extracted from a device? Idk what that would help them with. Besides you can extract specific partitions from the firmware file.

I also searched weeks and i have it . a simple fast root for our sm930P Sprint and other versions S7 on a locked bootloader . i have done two S7s one on ra1 and the other on BD2 a 5 and 6 . it rooted the first time on both and the speps are simple . no bootlooping apps to install no confusion .simple install.. it runs very very fast and i see no difference from a stock nugget phone other than samsung pay and a few samsung apps dont like root. it even has an over cloke if you want. Flash at your own risk but now i have my titanium backup and other root apps running flawless . on TING . simple two steps involved and no bootloops . i used the system root option and did not wipe data and used the leave safestrap on it or no safestrap installed option . the rest is EASY PEASY https://www.androidsage.com/2017/03...gat-firmware-usa-att-t-mobile-verizon-sprint/
