Note 3 unable to charge HELP! - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone I have recently installed the ported galaxy s5 rom in my international note 3 rooted on cwm touch, when I plug in my original battery it says it is unable to charge the device, the led starts blinking red and the battery icon starts blinking too, and a pop up message appears saying it can't charge because of "X" reasons, but after that I turned it off switched the battery with a Momax 3200mah, 3.8v battery I got for free and it charges normally
I need help because I spend most of my day away from a charging port for my device so I need a solution
Thanks everyone

I suspect it is a bug with the s5 ported rom. Have you tried flashing the latest stock rom? Just to make sure it's not a hardware fault.

My Note 3 Charging port doesn't pick up anything (PC or wall outlet)

Just yesterday my charging port was working 100%. Before I went to sleep I plugged my phone in for charging and then nothing happened. I would have to wiggle it around and hold it in a certain position for it to get a charge but after a couple seconds it would stop charging. Now it just doesn't do anything when I plug in the charger.
Info on my note 3:
-rooted
-KNOX 0x1
-custom ROM (xNote 8.0, amazing rom btw)
-stock kitkat NA6 kernel from the xnote rom
What I have already done to resolve the problem:
-redownloaded the stock kitkat kernel from a zip file on my ex. sd card
-removed battery for the whole night and just tried it this morning, nothing
-removed sim and ex. sd card and still nothing.
also when I turn off my phone and keep the charging port plugged in the screen would flash white in the middle of the screen for a dozen seconds then boot into recovery itself for some reason.
I dont know if my charging port is broken or if my battery is faulty, but i highly doubt that its my battery because it was just working a couple days ago, and i have rooted and tripped KNOX about 2-3 months ago i believe.
I live in canada and I have the canadian model, snapdragon 800. I also bought the costco 2 year extended warranty so im not sure if they check KNOX before they fix charging ports or something.
Any help is appreciated. my battery is about 10% right now.

Galaxy Note 3 N9005 Charging, Power ON, boot loop issue

hello,
I got Galaxy Note 3 (N9005) just two months back from Ebay. It was working perfectly since today morning I charged to 86% and unplugged it usually using 2.0 cable to charge the device but now its not powering UP, tried to unplug the battery , sim for several minutes but still the same issue
After plugging the charger again its vibrating every 3-4 seconds and showing battery with grey color and O written inside it after it a wrecked line showing at different points that's crossing the screen just like screen is damaged or OS is boot loop
Trying to power on while the charger is plugged it just show Samsung NOTE 3 screen and sometimes samsung logo gets load with blue LED continuously onn again the battery charging issue
youtube: chvRbwgT9n8 or U5B2By7fGII
but it does not show green battery any more
since its not starting up and only shows activity when its plugged in USB/Wall charger , unable to use it. is there any resolution on this most of the Note 3 users are complaining about the same issue
tried to boot it in recovery mode and restart the device from there but still no success
this issue is occurring for the last 3 hours and i am really annoyed how to resolve this issue
tried USB 3.0 as well with laptop but no success even after 30 minutes
if the battery is drained it should start with the charger plugged in but it isnt starting any more.
**Update
plugged on wall charger
started the mobile with Volume Up+ Power + Home key
erased to factory reset
wipe cache
rebooted
now its passing the samsung logo , annimation and then white Samsung Logo blinking with colors and after that again same battery showing
no custom rom installed on stock version i think its 4.2.2
Could be the battery.

If you turn it off but with charger power on, is it got charged(based on the battery animation)?.
If it's charged you could try odin back the firmware but if battery is low, then don't as it could brick your phone if it dies during flashing.
Else try to clean the usb port and 3 pins at battery compartment.
Not sure whether this is hardware of software.
Even the switch could cause such problem.

The usb module on the phone is defective. Replace it.

**Update
It's for sure Hardware Issue, checked with different hardware persons and they all agree that its power IC issue that is why its displaying this behaviour
Also tried to load KitKat from Odin but Samsung Galaxy Note 3 logo flashes every 2 second after downloading is complete.

Battery issue on S3 Neo

Hello to everybody!
My phone doesn't charge sometimes at all, it takes up to 5 hours sometimes to charge fully.
I am on the stock rom - rooted - right now, and for example, while having the red light on while its charging sometimes it doesnt light up (the red color).
Sometimes i also changed the sim card and i had a better battery percentage (i have made the batterystats reset thing later btw but it still remains)
I have tried a lot of custom roms, if somebody wants to know.
So is it a problem of the battery? I am using the original adapter.
Or should i flash the stock rom again by odin? I came to stock rom back with twrp.
Should I change the battery?
Can somebody please help me???
(Sorry for my english skills xD)
I have the same issue. My battery is charged up to 50% and sometimes up to 70%. If I'm lucky, restarting my device battery is charged up to 100%. I think it is battery issue and not a charger issue.
The same happened to me a while ago. The phone took a lot longer to charge or didn't charge at all.
Switching the charger (or rather the cable in my case) worked for me, but the phone doesn't get hot when charging anymore, so I'm not exactly sure if that's something positive.
Change the USB cable. It worked for my tablet(with the original cable it took 8 hours and with a standard one 3-4 hours)
Try Reparar bateria app

Help! My Galaxy Note 3 N9005 Won't Turn On

Hi Everyone! I have a galaxy note 3 SM N9005 32GB. I've started facing a very weird problem recently that I cannot find described anywhere in quite the way I'm experiencing it.. My note 3 powered off by itself after running out of charge last night. Ever since then, the only thing that happens when I plug it in to charge is that the screen stays black and the phone only vibrates once. No charging LED indicator, nothing on the screen at all, just a black screen like when the phone is off. In order to get it to vibrate again, I have to do a power drain before connecting it back to a charger. There's nothing on the screen at all. Can't boot into recovery or download modes and it's not detected by a computer. Have tried multiple cables (USB 3.0 and 2) and have 2 batteries which were working fine till this happened.
Any idea of what's going on? And if I can back up any data from it like contacts and messages? Thankfully, I had transferred almost every app I could to the micro SD card (128GB Sandisk) and was able to at least recover my notes from colornote, but I digress. What is going on in my phone?
Additional info - the battery is probably still charging when I plug it in. I think this because the phone and the battery warm up after being plugged in for a little while just like they used to when the phone was working.
Even more additional info - I don't know if this is relevant, but I recently upgraded to the most recent OS version available. I think It's a 5.0 or something but I can't remember exactly. Also, the front camera stopped working some time after the upgrade. And 2 days before this, 2 apps refused to update for some reason. I don't know if this could be related.
TL;DR - Note 3 N9005 ran out of charge and is now almost dead with black screen and no LED but vibrates only once after plugging in or pushing the power button. To get it to vibrate again, a power drain needs to be done. The battery is still charging because it gets warm when plugged in.
I too had the same problem but when I connected the phone it would not even vibrate like completely dead.
Maybe try these:-
1)Connect it to the pc of it detects it then recovery would be easy.
2)Connect the charger properly.
3)remove battery for like 30 minutes and try the steps 1 and 2 again.
4) If still not working go to the dealer cause I had to go to him too. ?

I bought it off of amazon, any suggestions in such a case? Besides trying to send it back, I mean. Anything or tool I can try? I don't mind if it gets technical. Need to get my app data off the internal memory.
Though mine started with a different problem than yours, since today it seems like the problem is same like yours. Phone's display is totally black, yet I can go to download mode (cause phone is detected by Odin), I flashed the latest stock ROM of UK too, but now there is no change anyway. I want to be practical and think that this is a display problem, if not I will be more than happy. I have to send the phone to a local technician I know, lets see.
The only think I believe you can do is wait, for maybe 6-7 hours or so, with the battery detached, and then insert it back and see whether its booting with display on or not, if not its more likely a hardware issue, display possibly.

Note 4 n910f battery charge stuck

Hi all my gf just bought a brand new note 4 it's came with lollipop and it charged fine however I updated it to marshmallow through the manual update and since that it won't charge past about 78%.. I them have to remove the battery reinsert it and then charge the rest with the phone turned off till 100%..
I've read on another forum that it's seems a problem with the marshmallow update. I've tried clearing the cache by booting into the recovery but made no difference.
Anyone know how to fix this.. would using a custom rom do it been thinking off putting one of the note 7 ports on it for her.
At the moment everything is fully stock no root and still got know
Thanks
Calibrate it. Empty it completely and then charge it again
Thanks will try it. Does the phone have to be on or off for charging after I've emptied it
I drained the battery till it wouldn't turn back on left it off while charging and it got stuck at 73% have to keep disconnect and reconnect the charger to get it to charge more
