What apps do you use and do you have that analysis of the log?
Sent from my C6603 using XDA Free mobile app

I mainly use it for phone calls, email, web, Tapatalk, Walkman and Facebook. The only app that I use to save juice is green power. My setup is: internet is on while screen is on. during the day 1 min of sync every 30 min while screen is of and and Internet off during the night. By Internet I mean both WiFi and mobile.

Thanks maybe I can now get more than that I use whatsapp and viber on daily basis that's why it's a 23 hours is a huge number for me ?

I average around 30 to 40 hours on mine on normal usage. Heavy usage would be enough to finish it by the end of the day, or before it.

You know if you lock your Xperia Z in ur closet and not use it. It will stay on for maybe over 2 days, maybe even more.
My point is that, screen time is what matters. Your screen usage shows 29% so u got just under or above 1 hr screen time. Which my friend isn't really 'spectacular'
Anyways head over to my Battery saving thread to see how you can get more out for your battery. Cheers!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2768544

And I can't see any apps on the list... Also, screen brightness is very important

Battery issue.

Can someone plz tell me if that's normal

Completely normal. Looks exactly how mine (and my other 4 Galaxy S2's) battery consumption looked.
There's threads open regarding battery issues already pal
You had your screen on for most of that 7-8 hour period, and the phone was awake, doing something. This is totally normal.
How come some say their battery lasts 15 - 20 hours and mine bearly 8 ?
Does yours always hit on the back like mine does ?

Becuase your phone was in use for a lot of that time.
Normally I get 7-10 hours battery life with my semi-heavy usage.
But yesterday I tested to see if I could get more, I only used the phone for four 5 minute phone calls, tonnes of texts, a little bit of web browsing and a little bit of youtube on 3G and wifi. No games or anything, and the battery still had 40% left after 20 1/2 hours.
But with my normal usage as i said, I get 7 - 10 hours.

Do a factory reset and see if the problem persists.

wow that is exactly what I am doing now too
was charging twice a day for a week and finally got tired. limited my heavy-graphics gaming from 2-3 hours a day to half hour, now 16 and a half hours past charge, I have 5% left and I am starting to think "how the heck do I discharge to 1% quicker so I have time to charge before I leave work tonight"
I have gmail and exchange in push autosync, plus 2 screens of widgets that refresh (weather, news, calendar and mail), 15 minutes of calls, some texts, news reading, picture taking and viewing. Screen was on for 3 hours in this 16.5 hour period.

Unless you are chilling around all day a foot away from a fireplace, this is not normal. It means something is constantly running on the phone and is using the CPU heavily. If you screen is on, it also heats up. Lower screen brightness if you have the screen on for long periods of time.
and if it is rogue apps running in the background, eating CPU cycles - do a factory reset as someone already suggested, and then set up your phone anew, carefully avoiding CRAPWARE and BLOATWARE services and apps.
Started with a fresh load this morning at 5.30 am, working continously with my SGSII, downloaded apps etc., twice clearing with android booster still half batt left when typing this.....
Brilliant, isn't it ?
My HD2 would not make THAT.

looks pretty normal, but you should post your screen-on time to give a better idea to tell your usage for sure. 3-4 hours of screen time and that's normal.

Battery Life with and without Power Saving Mode.

Hey guys,
Just bought a GS3, battery life for me is definitely better than the HTC One X (maybe not all of you, but it's my personal preference) , just wondering what screen on time people get with and without the Power Saving Mode?
Sent from my GT-I9300T using xda premium
3h 40min.
I like Dead Trigger.
I got a second original battery and since then I never run out of battery. Remember the S3 has a replaceable battery!

Agree, its the brightness that kills the battery!
Yes, full brightness and at least 35% juice less....dark background helps a lot actually to keep more juice.

thats because it aint a step counter
it just detects when the phone is shaken UP and DOWN
To prove it, hold the phone with step counter enabled in your hand upright and shake it upwards and downwards

Best kernel for battery

Hello,
What is the best kernel for G2, battery wise?
I'm using full stock right now, and i'm not that happy with battery. I'm getting like 4h screen time, and phone is working maybe 12h total.
No games etc, just www(H+), sms, few minutes of vice talks.
Well you have a wakelock somewhere keeping your device awake. Dorimanx kernel is probably the best custom kernel.
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
i've tried to find wakelocks with "wakelock detector", but all looks just fine.
Thx for the info, will try that
I would recommend Dorimanx kernel as well!!
Works good for me and newer version with even better battery life incoming
Dorimanx 1.5 for epic battery
Flashed Dorimanx and alo removed weather widget and battery looks better thx for advice

Battery life reviews 4.4.4

Seems I don't see any good threads about this and the firmware has already been out fkr days now. Anyone of us here who can share their battery experience? How do you find it compared to the 4.4.2? How about compared to JB, some say it's the best in battery life so far. Did you do clean flash or through PC companion? Share your thoughts guys

So far mine's been great. I was never on 4.4.2 but it's at least as good as my 4.3 and probably a little better.
I did a clean install with flash tool wiped everything.

This was from last night before I went to bed. I was reading stuff most of the day fb, g+, dolphin, XDA etc and still has 50 percent left. I'm normally left with 30 by night.
I'm at work today and I use wifi tethering all day and by the time I finish work im normally down to 40. 2 hours left of work and I'm currently sitting at 63 percent.

Hi guys!
I had this update installed and I had about 1.3% battery drained per hour. Switched back to JB and got 0.5%/h. So for me JB is way better! But honestly even 0.5%/h is bad in my opinion! Should be around 0.3%/h for a phone with its native OS...

Good day to You Sir,
Would You mind sharing display settings Your performance is based on ? (Brightness, etc)
Also, any special config ?
Thanks a lot in advance.
I've noticed a great improvement in battery life with 4.4.4! Here's an example where with 4.4.2 after 6 hours of idling, the battery drained about 17%, but with 4.4.4 it only drained 4%!

Google+ and Google services is killing my battery on 4.4.4 stock:crying:
I see about 20% improvement in battery life compared to 4.3 firmware.
Indeed the battery life seems to be better but will see how it goes in the future.
For now, these are my screenshots.
Mobile data always on, wifi usage is less than 20 minutes , screen brightness at 50% with auto adjust, I watched about 2h some movies with bs player and at max brightness, gaming about 1h (pvz 2 and others), took some pictures, Web browsing a bit, stamina on.
No crashes, no bugs, so far
