well having a European locked samsung galaxy S5 over a month with me ... i could not find a reliable and working solution on internet.
after finding few success stories in this web i decided to pay £20 on www.fastgsm.com and buy a code .i received my code within 15 mins and received NCK, MCK and RGCK code types with the mail. my region lock is finally off!!! if you don have money to spent like that i would recommend you mail samsung Romania, Austria and Germany regarding this as they are very helpful about samsung products! on the other hand i would like to say UK samsung Customer service is utter **** as my poor brother who bought this from UK walked from store to store asking for a code and all they said was 'we cant provide such a code sir'. many people have received their codes for UK bought samsung equipment from other European customer service centers ( search this section ).
so in short if you dont have money and have a genuinely bought samsung galaxy S5 with the invoice ,mail Samsung Help Germany ,Austria and Romania as they never disappoint you! UK customer share is full of posers!
or else use www.fastgsm.com and please use their instructions before you order within seconds

hi folks, first post here. i tried to get my tbobile shadow unlocked by the site www.instantunlockcodes.com, and AFTER i paid the 49.99, a few hours went by and they emailed me back saying they couldnt unlock the phone.... wtf? so i have two options now, i can use another service (like imiecheck, or gsm father) or if any of you can unlock it, i will give you the login to the site, for the 50$ credit. its up to you. im starting to get a little pissed off about it though.

If you're still with T-Mobile or had an account with them, I'm sure you could get them to provide the Unlock Code.
I bought a used Shadow from eBay & the seller was kind enough to help me unlock the phone by calling T-Mobile & explaining to them that the phone needs to be used overseas with other GSM network for travelling purposes.
I got my Unlock Code for free in under three days.
Hope this helps.
Ya.. I got ripped off also, luckily it was only $7.00. Wireless unlocks.. beware..
I upgraded two lines with new shadows, one for my wire and one for my daughter. The wife found hers too complicated , so I called Tmo customer service and told them the truth. I asked them if they could unlock it for me, as my wife wanted to use her old phone... Two days later they sent me the unlock code.. now using my shadow flawlessly with the at&t network..
Instanunlockcodes.com is in ICELAND
The same thing just happened to me. Instantunlockcodes.com is a rip off.
I filled in the form and paid my money and about an hour or two later I got a message that they could not find an unlock code to work on my I335 Motorola.
About ten minutes later, my credit card company called and told me a fraudulent charge had been put against my card. I explained what I did and my credit card company told me that they are already on a fraud watch list.
They are also in Iceland. It was 2:30AM in Iceland when they charged my card so it is automated to just give you a runaround.
The only problem is, if they have my IMIE number, can they steal my phone number and charge against my phone account?
I bet there are Icelanders that are saying “STUPID AMERICANS” right now.
I sure do feel stupid.

P.P.S. Just to clarify, we have nothing to do with wirelessunlocking.com/wirelessunlocks.co.uk/.com/.net/
(Assuming that one of those is the site you are talking about.)
that would be willing to help me out with a phone repair.
I have spoken to the Samsung repair Center at Repulse Bay, they said the would fix it but do not deal with mail orders.
I would be happy to compensate you for your time, and of course pay for any repair costs (should there be any cost) via any method we can work out.
Please let me know as I could use the help...
Or even any info on a repair shop that would work via phone/post... Any info would be appreciated, I am almost out of ideas...
Have you tried your local Samsung repair shop? (I assume you bought your phone in Hong Kong but you are using it in another country??)
I am on a small island south of Japan... no local repair shop... spoke with Samsung Japan...
and since the device is HK... they will not service it...(nor do they do mail order)
Thats stupid of samsung No international fix. Don't want to hijack thread but I brought a Siemens A6688 10 years ago in HK and it broke somehow and when I called Siemens up they not only fixed my phone but exchanged it for a new SL45 (Euro model of the A6688) Maybe it was just good service at Siemens Australia. Samsung Japan should take note and not care about all this gray market warrenty bs
Yea its stupid seeing they are an international corporation. I bought my iTouch from UK and they gave me free repair in HK 3 years ago!
Damn ... that worries me ... as I'm working in Taiwan on contract for 6 months and have a Canadian Galaxy S. I just hope it doesn't break! For such an international company you would think they could handle a phone outside of it's respective country. Even if it meant waiting longer for different parts (which I would totally be cool with as long as they honored their warranty worldwide).
Ouch. I had this exact same problem two months ago.
HK Samsung are completely useless and absolutely refuse to service via courier or mail.
I had some luck with Samsung Australia, they didn't seem to care that it was a HK phone and they serviced it for $50 AUD (Just a reflash, no 3br pre-JIG hack days).
If it is just a software problem, maybe give the homemade JIG a try?
....LOL.... I didn't even think to call a third country Samsung Service Center...
but it is a real, real brick... not even a flash of the screen... no adb response... not even the charging battery screen....
I say give samsung Au a call just in case and say samsung hk are being pricks or you could actually tell them truth that HK don't do mail ins and don't speak english (ok this is a fib)
Ah, Not sure if Samsung Australia will do anything via mail or not. I sent it to my family in Australia and they did the leg work.
E-mailing Samsung Australia was kind of pointless. Long reply times and generally unhelpful.
Contacting the service centre directly was fine though.

Ugh. It's not. They practically don't.
It was like communicating with a brick wall.

If I buy the international GT-P6800, will Samsung USA cover the warranty?
Just bought this:
http://www.integrontech.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-7-7-P6800-3G-Unlocked-Silver-p/sam-p6800-16gb-s.htm
It's on it's way here... but with all the screen issues everyone seems to be having, I def don't want this thing with no warranty.
I didn't even think about that when I bought it... now i'm considering just returning it before opening it up... don't want to get screwed down the road without a warranty.
I had a bad experience with this.. long story short they didnt...

The more I read, the more it seems they won't honor their warranty in the US.
I could always Squaretrade it... but I wary of the support I would actually receive.
I contacted USA Samsung about warranty. I didn't really get the answer I wanted but they did do a little better than no warranty at all.
Could probably just use a forwarding service. I wonder if I prepaid envelope sent to their UK facilities would work?
Samsung's response:
Dear Casey,
Thank you for contacting Samsung.
Unfortunately, as the product was purchased in the uk, the warranty is only valid at uk service centres.
However, if you had a friend within the UK, who could deliver and collect your product, then deliver it back to you, we would be happy to fix or service the product where necessary.
Hope this helps.
If you require any further assistance, please contact Samsung again and we will be more than happy to help.
Kind regards,
Chris

I have a Note 3 that appears to have been made or assembled in Vietnam. Under the battery, it says MADE IN VIETNAM BY SAMSUNG. I desperately need a replacement because it is malfunctioning terribly. I still have several months left on the one-year warranty. Can someone tell me how I can get a replacement from Vietnam? The website is entirely in Vietnamese and no other Samsung center will help. I've tried US, Australia and our own local center (Trinidad and Tobago), and even Amazon and the seller I bought it from. I've tried the UK and no reply so far. No one wants to help me and I am now at a loss. They all keep telling me that I need to contact the manufacturers directly, or Samsung US or UK should do it for me, but they don't want to help. The sellers won't give me any helpful info and says its not their problem. I bought it on November 19th 2014 and it has a one-year manufacturer's warranty, but this is gonna be pretty much useless if I can't even contact the manufacturers. I am desperate. I can't even use the phone anymore. It freezes randomly, shuts off, and then tries to reboot; then it just keeps rebooting. It can go on and on for hours. Even if I take the battery out, and replace it, it won't start. I tried factory resets, flashing, everything I could without voiding the warranty. I just want to know HOW to communicate with the Vietnam manufacturers to get a replacement. I'm desperate. I don't have another phone and I can't afford another phone. I spent a lot of money on this one. Can someone please help me?
Depends where you bought the product .
Samsung do not offer a worldwide warranty .
Any 12 month warranty is surely down to the vendor and local laws or your local Samsung repair centre .
((I just want to know HOW to communicate with the Vietnam manufacturers to get a replacement )
They don't deal with the public its a manufacturing plant .
Please stop spamming the board with multiple identical posts .

I was not trying to spam. I was in a panic and thought I would get different replies in different threads. The vendor or the local repair centre does NOT want to help me. They all keep telling me it's manufacturer warranty and that I should contact the manufacturer directly. I don't even know anymore who the manufacturer is because I've tried to contact every samsung centre I could find. That's why I ended up desperately thinking that maybe I need to contact Vietnam because they're ALL telling me they didn't manufacture the phone so they can't help me.
If they ( samsung )are all telling you they did not manufacture the phone then its a fake and not a Samsung .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2574886
Really you need to find why service is refused .
One the phone is old and out of warranty .
Two its a grey import from another country .
Three its not a Samsung Note 3 but a fake or a clone .
Phone info will give details .
It does not matter what factory it was produced in all Samsung devices carry the warranty irrespective of factory .
