After flashing and rebooting kernel 8.1 on my d802 rom with G3CLoudy v2 rom.
my whole scrreen gone blank... the button still functioning since i can hear the sound when i press the volume button.
slution please...
The kernel you flashed was most likely incompatible with the current ROM your running, so go into recovery and restore your system from a backup..

Don't use the power button to select. Use the trackpad

Well first off, you should ALWAYS make nandroid (ROM manager) backups before flashing any ROM, addon, patch, etc.
That aside, you have a few things to do here. If you didn't make a nandroid backup you should download a ROM.zip file from the Dev section (your choice), and put it on your SDcard. Enter the boot loader (from off) by holding vol. down+power, then selecting 'recovery'. Once in recovery, wipe data/factory reset, and then go to 'install zip from SDcard' and select the ROM.zip. Then flash any associated .zip's or anything that the ROM maker suggest. Reboot, and you're good to go in a working ROM. You can now go from there.
Remember, when in recovery you need to use the TRACKPAD and BACK BUTTON to navigate the CWM recovery screen. Using the power button / camera button / menu button will just show/hide the menu or turn the screen off. You can scroll and select with the trackpad, and go back with the 'back' button. Only use these 2. Nothing is wrong with your phone, you're just using the wrong damn buttons.
Your phone is so far from bricked its not even funny. Just follow some basic knowledge on how the recovery and ROM manager works and you'll be back to 100%.
thanks alot guys. i was really high so i started getting paranoid about my phone lol BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH
Power Button just shows the wallpaper, trackpad is where you select for our phone
I used the 'Flash ClockworkMod Recovery' option in Rom Manager on my phone & now i cannot get clockwork menu up when i do the power on/vol down thing. It just hangs on the green android screen & i have to take the battery out & back in again to boot normally. Also when i boot with vol up i get the same, there's no green writing which allows me to use an update zip method. It'll boot ok into the rom i last installed but thats it !
I am running GSF B27 - Gen 2
Android Version 2.3.4
Baseband P729B01
Can anyone help please ?
I'm also in a similar position to you. Are you sure you are holding down the menu key aswell as the +/- buttons?
all i get is a black screen when i do that
I think your phone may be bricked
I can use it no prob, but i'm stuck with GSF B27
I've done it......I used fastboot with this image
recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-blade-gen2.img
and yahooo ! it booted into cwm 4.0.1.5
everything works ok now
So I don't know why this happened, I had rooted and installed TWRP and was happy, so I tried to install Malladus (1.2.9) and gapps and the 24a upgrade .zip, and now here I am.
I've tried most methods, and the LG Flash tool just says "failed PreviousLoad()" when I click the yellow arrow.
I f'd this phone up 12 hours after I got it.
If you see the LG boot logo than there is still a chance to fix the phone. Try to manually go back into recovery. Turn off the phone by long pressing power button. As soon as the screen is black, press power and volume down together, you only get a half second to do it. When LG logo appears release and press them together again until the factory reset screen comes up. Then press power 2 or 3 times and you should go back into your recovery. Once there you can try to reinstall rom, backup or side load a new rom. Hope this helps!
What is your phone model? Without that I cannot help you.
Same problem
Hi guys, like an idiot I was successfully able to install the debloat 4.4.2 on my vzw LG G2 but I tried to flash nandroid recovery back to my 4.2 and now I am stuck on boot loop and cannot get back into recovery. I tried to hard button by pressing both the bottom button and power, and press it again when the lg logo comes on and after pressing the power button a few times, it just goes into a black screen, so I cannot get back into recovery in this manner. Anyone know how I can get back into recovery without going through the full wipe back to factory?
Never had this issue with any android device I've installed custom roms on. But when I had installed superman and rebooted it just went to a red screen. The buttons are responsive and sometimes a french voice says something. It's been like this for ~35 min and I can't do anything so i cant re-flash etc.
Does anyone have any suggestion? Rip phone?
Thanks!
Likely you flashed the wrong kernel, S7 Flat on Edge or the opposite I think. Try to force reboot your device with 3-button combo (vol down+home+power for 8 seconds) it should go into bootloader, then do the 3-button again and without releasing other buttons just press vol up at the same moment which phone turned off and go into recovery.
yeah that happen to me. I flashed 930 rom on 935. once I pick the right one..no red screen
I concur with Abstra and Uber, it's due to the wrong kernel choice in Aroma as I've done it once as well. I also did what abstra suggested, by rebooting with 3 button combo, going into bootloader and then going into TWRP recovery from there.
( Quoting abstra - Try to force reboot your device with 3-button combo (vol down+home+power for 8 seconds) it should go into bootloader, then do the 3-button again and without releasing other buttons just press vol up at the same moment which phone turned off and go into recovery.)
Then from TWRP flashing the Superman ROM again, In aroma choose correct Kernel, happy days...

Use LGUP to go back to stock, than do install twrp and root again

Only idea I've come up with so far: try booting into recovery to maybe unstick it by using the volume keys? Same way as twrp, hold volume down, power til screen turns on, then tap power repeatedly (still holding volume down) until the factory reset menu appears, confirm the reset using the volume and power buttons.
Other than that trying to reflash the kdz I suppose ( that did appear to work correctly aside from the bootloops, no other errors?)
