help me get my photos back

hi guys
i took some pics at a family wedding and since upgrading ROM i don't see them anymore
so they must have saved to phone not card . is there any way i can get them back
please help
tia
you can check your phone memory location using file explorer go to device, my documents, they should be in my Pictures.
Another way is go to Camera tab and press Album (left corner) this will give an overview of what is stored on your device and Storage card check each one
I suggest also going into your camera options and changing the storage option back to storage card

If you flashed a ROM then all prior data is technically unrecoverable. Sorry! ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR DATA!!!!
Oops I missed that you had upgraded your ROM bugger
You could try a data recovery software search google there are lots of freeware
Run the program choose your SD card and see if it finds any JPEG files
I have done this before and was successful
Good Luck
thanks but the photos must have been on the phone all the other photos are still on the card , can you run recovery software on the phone itself
cheers
marty
Ok i've found tons of software to recover from the card but none to recover from the phone itself does anyone know if any exists or a way to see the phone with pc software cos only the card shows up
thanks in advance
marty
I hate to tell you this but once you flash a rom it erases everything on the phone and rewrites it so those pics are gone.
There's no such thing as a photo recovery software for a flash ROM.
I'm sorry for your lost, but once you flash a different ROM, everything is wiped clean. It happens to the best of us, OP. I had similar things happen on my Diamond. Just remember to go through your checklist of the things you need to backup/save before you update the ROM.
Ok strange things
i ran recovery software on the card and found photo's taken on the correct date,
recovered them to pc, can see a thumb nail of 1 which is the wedding but none open , anyone know good recovery software ? i've used kroll ontrack recovery pro
seems flashing the rom did do something to the card (i think)
note to self "always take out card when flashing "
thanks for all help
i live in hope

You wouldn't happen to move the HTC album cache to the SD card, did you?

[ Q ] Android inside WM Rom ( or system files only )

I was using "search" to find similar question but i didnt found anything.
My question is :
So far the biggest problem with battery , and android speed was related
with using SD Card.
Ok . I'm a NOOB with Android so don't laugh please :
Is there a way to build WM Rom with smallest number of files
to make device bootable and implement into this Android files ?
I know ... Android is building a BIG folder ( aprox. 700 MB ).
But if we could keep only most important system files
inside the rom , and all the rest will be kept on memory card ???
What you think ?
Is it possible ?
It could save battery , mayby more speed - only if it possible
??????
Still learning - sorry for bad EN.

There are no drivers for the NAND as far as I know. That is why there is SD boot. Go to a file explorer in android and there is no nand partition or folder in the root alongside 'sdcard'
so from what i understand, we need windows booted to power up all the hardware. correct?
i think what he was asking and i was asking earlier is:
if we build a minimal windows boot, ONLY to power up the hardware, and then move the "android" folder from memory card to main phone memory and create the launcher to start the haret and the other file from the phone memory just like it would start from SD card.
in other words treat the phone memory like a SD card am i missing something?

That is right !!!
But not to move everything from catalogue Android from SD card to phone memory.
Only most necessary files like drivers, kernel and such.
Files that could keep battery lives longer on stanby with good system stability.
If not possible...... maybe your way will be better ...if possible.
well to split the filesystem between main memory and sd card you have to change alot of file refferences and links its gonna be a nightmaire.
but i dont know enough about this system to tell if this could work or not

[Q] Internal memory write protected?

Help needed please. I have s4 5.0.1 stock ROM that is rooted. Yesterday I seem to have lost the ability to write to the internal memory. I thought at first I couldn't download a WhatsApp picture because memory was full, but now I have 3gb space and can't write to it, ie can't download a file from the Internet, or even create an empty folder. Any ideas please as I don't want to factory reset...... Thanks in advance.
Either I've asked a stupid question, or no one knows the answer??
