Hello
I have a question about Xiaomi Piston v2/2.1 buttons when using with Note 3 with stock ROM. The threads in accessories page is not giving me a specific answer. It would say all buttons will work fine.. But does that mean all the functionality of the buttons work too?
If anyone here is using can you kindly let me know if the skip function specifically work with Note 3 with any music player? Should we double/triple tap the center button or should be long press the volume keys?
I will be buying this for a friend who wants the skip feature specifically, so need to confirm this before buying.
Thank you.
Not sure if the skip function works out the box on stock rom...
What definitely works is root-install xposed framework-install wanam xposed-Tap on sound and tick skip with volume up/down
Yeah I have read about the xposed module. But not in a position to root the device.

Take a look at "JAYS Headset Control"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=se.jays.headsetcontrol
I have the pistons and can confirm that all the buttons work. The middle button pauses, top is to increase volume and bottom is to lower volume. I'm on Effortless rom. Holding either top or bottom button just increases or lowers volume. It doesn't skip tracks.

i've a serious problem with my XDA II's Up/Down Side Button (to control the volume on the left-hand side).
The problem is: it turn my volume down until muted by itself, I guess it happen coz the button is broken.
So, I'm going to disable it since I'm afraid to dismantle my XDA.
So, help me to disable it, maybe from the registry or using 3rd party program.
I'm using 2.01 WWE ROM right now.
Thx all.
Please help me..
Hi,
When I press the volume rocker, the volume increased by a large percentage each time I press it.
I realise that some music players have the ability to change the volume by smaller increment, but wonder if there is a cab file somewhere that enables this capability system wide. Or is there a hidden tweaks somewhere?
I like the cool music player in TF3D and do not wish to use a third party software to play music.
Can anybody help?
Thanks in advance.
i hope to change lesser too
yes i remember coming across some 3rd party applications that can tweak the volume, but i honestly forgot where.... if i find anything i will get back to you.
meanwhile, after prompting the volume menu by pressing the rocker buttons, you can select a smaller increment in sound level, by simply taping of the meter using the stylus.
volume increments
I thought super, i can adjust volume lower! Not, mine moves the same by tapping or using rocker.? unless I'm doing something wrong? Help
This is a really annoying issue... Luckily, you can adjust the volume in smaller increments using the buttons whenever the screen is turned off!
volume
Sorry, i'm new, but when i turn my screen off, my music stops? then when i touch vol. rocker it lites up, & plays. sorry for newbie problem,

Have you found the cab yet?
When the sound volume screen appear, how do you adjust by a smaller increment? I thought whether you use the volume rocker or the screen the degree of change is exactly the same?

The music only keeps playing when headphones are plugged in! (Atleast it should... if it doesn't, what ROM are you using?)
i'm sorry couldn't find the cab, ur best bet is changing the volume from within a music player, i hear corplayer is good....
on my device i tap the volume bar using the stylus and that gives me the smaller increments in sound level.
Try tapping the screen instead of using the pysical buttons on the side. You can change the volume by one bar instead of the 4/5 bars everytime you press the button.
Is there any setting in Touch2 where in we can click on the volume icon & change the volume without using the volume key
For touch2 we can only change the volume using the volume key, i would like to change the volume using the volume icon just like in WinMo 6, 6.1
I don't get this at all. . . using the buttons on the side of the phone is the easiest way to adjust volume, period.
If the 15 levels of selectable volume via volume keys dont meet the accurate reqirements (i'm quite partial to having no more nor less than 73% myself),
you can always slide over to Settings > Sounds
you can then adjust volume from 0% to 100% for the rings & system seperately.
Hi Weznezz,
I am happy using the volume keys, but i would also like to know if there is any possibility of using the volume icon, to change the volume from the screen.
In previous WM builts you could do that indeed which I also liked......for some reason they took it away......
Will search and when I find something report back....
Hi Frank,
Thank you very much for understanding my request. Will be waiting for your response.
Regards,
Frank is a good guy, and i mean it
Never enjoyed a phone as much as the note2, I have a couple of minor issues which keep annoying me and for the life of me I cant find a solution with an app.
Issue 1. Ringer volume and notifiation volume not linked. Just spent my entire lunch break, installing various audio/volume apps, to try and link the two together, none can do it. Is this an issue with Jelly Bean?
Issue 2. Vol down button, stops at vibrate...this one is not a major issue as I can simply swipe down the notification bar and unpress vibrate, but not ideal.
If anyone can provide any help, I would be grateful.

The second issue is what other people are experiencing. I think that's true of JellyBean as my nexus 7 does that too. I don't have a note 2 but on my nexus 7 when I hit volume up/down, the volume bar pops up and on the right hand side there's also a settings icon I can press to change the other volumes

Same goes for the Note 2. I have the Settings icon on the right end of the volume bar when I press either volume key.

Is there a way to double tap the + and - buttons on a 3 button headphone remote for ski[p track forward and skip track back
without root? or even with root?
I have tried 3 apps already and none of them even recognize a single press of either button
6p stock N
For changes like that at least root is needed I imagine. I use to love that feature on the phone having volume buttons to skip tracks while in my pocket at work. Some of the custom ROMs have it baked in. Don't think possible remote or headphones.
