Yes, I've noticed it: the site is offline right now.
You can get your stock JB here anyway:

That's also present in the link given above and also at sbf.droid-developers.org here (the downloads with the 4.4.2 are KitKat)
Thanks. Now if I could only get it to work. Every time I try to restore to stock with rsd lite it gives me an error. Something about the XML file having something wrong or missing from it.

Try using SamuriHL's House of Moto instead of RSD. I'd link it but I'm not sure if that's a rule violation since its on a different forum. Google it.

Currently I'm running the gingerbread 4.5.573 leak on my droidx. I'm wanting to be able to install the liberty gingerbread on my phone, but it says in order to do so I need to be on 4.5.588. In order for me to get on 4.5.588 it says I need to be on 2.3.340 before I get on liberty gingerbread. Can someone provide a link or a how to on how I can SBF back to 2.3.340 from the 4.5.573 version that I'm currently on? I've looked over the forums using a search and I've seen people wanting to do the same thing, but no links for the sbf downloads work.
Thank you jmoney, I will try it in a bit.

Got home last night and this website was great. Showed exactly how to do it and provided the files. Now I'm back to where I wanted to be. Thank you!
used both .sbf files and still failed. anyone have any other ideas how i can reflash this back to stock?
Did you extract the .sbf file or did you try doing it while it was still zipped? You need to unzip it and use the .sbf extension file to do it. What was the error you were getting?
I have a friend whose son has a Droid X and attempted to root it. I dont know what method he used or anything, but it did not work. He can get the phone to boot, but cant use the phone for voice or data almost like its in airplane mode, but its not. I am familiar with Android and rooting, just not with a droid x. I need to get him back to stock so he can use his phone again. Is there like an ruu i can run to get it back to stock or a copy of the stock rom? and how do i get to recovery? Is it power and volume down like my evo?
Thanks for any help you can give
OK, I think I may have found it, but I would appreciate some some confirmation since ya'll obviously know way more about this specific device than I do.
I think I need to download RSDLite 4.8 and install on my computer and use it to install the SBF VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf to the phone.
Does that sound right?
thanks

RSD Lite is a pain compared to to other options. If you google search "linux solution for DROID x sbf" the first result should be a link to a dx fourm post about a linux distro to sbf dx back to stock 2.2. It is really really easy and runs on a usb flash drive or cd. Then take the OTA for gb, as it has yet to be rooted. And you are set. Total time, half an hour.
Pm me if you need more info. (I'm mobile so a link will be hard.)

I spoke too soon. He took it home and tried to do the GB update and got stuck at the bootloader, so I am trying the method you linked to now.
I am an advanced user of a Samsung fascinate and really know nothing of the dx. With the fascinate we have a windows program called odin. With it, no matter what state your phone may be in or what ROM your on you can just enter download mode and flash the phone to stock.
ok. So my friend has a stock dx that i believe has a corruption somewhere. Its doing lots of weird things. No lockscreen.. Anything internet force closes. Stock launcher had not been working for quite some time..
I have read your dx stickys and am confused by the loops and hurdles to flash a stock image.
"if on this rom do this. If on that ROM do that. Or here's something easier do this, but make sure to boot strap this and don't sneeze."
Lol
What really is my best option for taking a stock phone to a out of box condition? Obviously i don't want backups of a broken system and would rather not root if i don't have to..
Sorry for the noobiness. i have never messed with a phone with encrypted loaders.

Follow the SBF tutorial that is stickied.
You're going to want the 602 sbf file.
You can then use About>Check for update to get on 605 (Newest).

Sorry mate, forgot about our lack of stickies update here.
And no worries about which sbf go where and what-not.
The only time you had to worry about which SBF was before froyo.
The froyo version updated our locked bootloader...so the only limitation we have is we can't go back to donut (2.1).

Make sure that your friends battery is fully charged and do not interrupt the SBF process at all this is very important and I felt someone should explicitly state this. If something goes wrong during SBF it is very possible that the phone can be bricked. Let us know how it goes because RSD lite can be very finicky depending on what OS you have on your computer and what not.

Hi,
My phone came with the same version. It has DFP-189 SBF. You can update it to 2.3.6 by a full SBF flash. If you r phone is fully stock(no root etc.) then you can do that by simply choosing the correct SBF(MB526.AsiaRetail.**.DFP-1321) and flashing it and you will be updated to 2.3.6. There is one another updated SBF (MB526.AsiaRetail.**.DFP231) which I currently have and has different lockscreen and caller UI. You can find all the SBF here . Try by just flashing the SBF and you will be updated and your data will be still there. However should you face any prob you will need to do a data wipe from stockrecovery
But before doing any of that you should know:
1.) The SBF with DFP-1321 has BL6(bootloader version) and thus you won't be able to use any CM made for Defy, will have to use CM builds for Defy+.
2.) The SBF with DFP-231 has BL7 and thus cannot be downgraded to any of the SBFs!! And most imp: You can't root it! Why am I using it? Because phone was in service center and they flashed this SBF!!! :'(
need sbf
anyone can provide me with DFP-891 asia retail sbf

CM 7.2 Nightlies for DEFY+ work just fine...you can't use any builds exclusive to 2.2 red lens kernel ever...but Defy+ builds.YES

Hi, the link for DFP-1321 SBF given in the official thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1386942) seems to be broken. This puts me in a spot since I'm made to believe it's not wise to flash a custom ROM without having at least one stock SBF I can fall back on, in case I mess up my phone somehow. I was really looking forward to flashing a custom ROM, and now this problem...
Could someone suggest any alternative link/SBF/method or better still, reupload the DFP-1321 SBF and post the link on the relevant thread? Thanks in advance...

Make a nandroid backup before you flash anything..
If something goes wrong, just restore your backup..
However, there might be a scenario when you cannot access your recovery (highly unlikely if you follow instructions),then you shall need your stock SBF to fall back to.

I see, thanks for your response! I wasn't sure whether just restoring a nandroid backup would let get me back to my Stock GB after I flashed a CM10 ROM (It is enough, right? Could you please confim? My Stock configuration right now is super stable and quite fast, I want to ensure I can get back to it at some point if I don't like CM10).

Thanks again. By the way, I had checked his mirrors before for the SBF, but only found a nandroid backup of it, not the actual SBF.
I'm trying to root this moto defy+ with version 2.3.6(telstra australia) on it. I can't find instructions on whether this one is using bootloader 7, and, if it is, all the links I have found to the .sbf files are either broken, or serve up a file that gives an 'unexpected end of file' error.
If it is not bootloader7, I can't find a working link to the exploits like rageinthecage. Even superoneclick seems to have been removed from the file hosting cloud.
Can someone clarify what method I need to be using, and can they provide me a working link to the files? I'd prefer to do it using adb, which I have got working without issue.
thanks!
