Hi
I rooted my stock D802 Int with Towelroot, installed SuperSU. All went fine. The phone was rooted.
Meanwhile, I tried to unroot using SuperSU and it unroots the system fine, but in download mode it still says ROOTED.
Then I tried flashing my kdz file (int D80220D) to put it to stock, using the method in LG G2 Stock Firmware (Go Back to Stock), and it flashed ok (fresh install with option CSE Flash), but the status in download mode still says ROOTED.
Can someone help?
I think you need to perform the tot method (not the kdz) to restore the unrooted flag in download mode.
Thanks! I'll search for that.
It's like downgrade with a tot firmware and then flash kdz, right?

I flashed back to stock D80010o firmware.
if I have to send phone back, is there any way for them to tell I've been in it? I flashed back to stock prior to accepting the OTA this time.
Is there any flag that gets tripped making it not quite "stock"
If you used the LG Flash tool to flash stock, the root checker should be reset. If you used a custom recovery / still have one, they'll know.

I used the LG Flash tool. But, it seems that the KitKat update went through finally. WooHoo!
I was running root with philz recovery on Beanstalk when I accidentally hit something while in recovery. My phone then started overlooking and I had no choice but to bring it back to stock VIA the lg flashtool web upgrade method. My phone booted up with the new 80120a firmware installed. Now I don't seem to be rooted anymore and I'm trying to VIA the flashtool load the d801c firmware and it doesn't seem to work. Even stranger is when I am in download mode it shows
B85
ROOTED
I want it like it was before can anyone help me please? Root checker shows no root access...

I assume you didnt used the KDZ file? It doesnt matter if youre rooted or not you can still downgrade from the flash tool.

My phone was saying UNROOTED in download mode when I was in 4.2.2. It actually was UNROOTED back then.
But after flashing 4.4.2 ,the download mode now says ROOTED. I did a factory reset and still ROOTED. I flashed official 4.4.2 KDZ using the LG support tool and offline method.
Any help?
D802 With Indian official 4.4.2 ROM KDZ.
try KDZ again 4.2.2 an saw again ROOTED or UNROOT ?
On 4.2.2 after Factory Reset shows UNROOTED. But changes to rooted on flashing KitKat.
Same thing happened to me until I did the following:
Restore to factory via the flash tool method. It still said rooted until I flashed the o 4.2.2. D still said rooted. Once I flashed o it changed to unrooted. Just for grins I went back to d, rooted and then flashed the kitkat .tot and it changed to unrooted. So, on my device anyway, the d .tot hated my face.
Sent from my LG-D800 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
If we flash 4.4.2 KDZ and do factory reset, it will still show as ROOTED.
The only way around this problem is to downgrade to 4.2.2 and do a factory reset. Now the download mode will show UNROOTED. Then take 4.4.2 OTA. After OTA firmware update is complete, it keeps the UNROOTED status unchanged.
If anyone has managed to Unroot 4.4.2 using traditional offline flashing please report.
So this afternoon I got my D802 rooted after stupidly updated my phone to 4.4.2 before rooting it. Anyway, so I found out that IOroot works! and so I rooted my phone and now I'm trying to get a backup of my ROM via CWM using Rom Manager. And.....for all I tried searching, I don't have a clue why I couldn't enter the CWM recovery mode. It always goes back to the Android's default recovery menu.
I suppose it's due to that I didn't flash CWM into the phone properly. How can I actually flash CWM into the phone? Or should I use TWRP instead? (Does it work with ROM Manager?)

you can't flash custom recovery on kitkat for now the only way is to downgrade and install a custom modified kitkat rom that supports recovery for d802 this is an option http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2681205
Hi, i have a problem with my LG G2 D802, i use the method to flash a new firmware in my phone with the offline mode after of this my phone has been rooted i know that because in mode download put ROOTED in red color. I never rooted my phone and i check my root status via root checker and i am not root. So how is possible that?. I need help please.
Sorry for my bad english.
You should try flashing a 4.2.2 kdz and right after it just flash 4.4.2 (don't do a factory reset)
We all have the same situation. You did a factory reset after upgrade ?

Nope. I only upgrade my LG G2 with code 6RO from 4.2.2 with ota to 4.4.2 v20b or c after i can't found more updates and then i flash v20d 6DE Open 16gb via offline mode after of that my phone is rooted.
I have other mate than have same problem. He have LG G2 of Orange and this company don't have v20d then i flashed his phone with v20c to v20d for get knock code and after of this rooted too.
I think than the problem is ota update and after flashing a rom.
