Hi everyone,
I've recently installed OptimusG3 on my G2. Everything was working fine with the exception of Knock On. Using the guide provided on the OptimusG3 opening post (sorry, couldn't paste the link here), I've started a Device Test using LG's hidden menu, and my phone now has gone into an endless boot loop. It shows the LG logo for a couple seconds, then screen goes off (presumably rebooting), then back on again and so on. I can access TWRP normally.
I could try using the LG Flashing tool to come back to stock, however since this seems to be directly related to the Device Test, I'd like to know if anybody knows how to force cancel that test (assuming that this is what's happening). That way I would avoid loosing data.
Thanks in advance.

I am having a hell of a time with my phone (VS980). The only changes I have done are root the phone and the hotspot mod. I did both of these about a year ago. After the hot spot mod I have not been able to update the phone, OTAs fail, but other than that the phone has worked fine. Yesterday morning the phone froze and restarted itself. Now it just stays on the LG screen not matter what I do. I have tried to do a factory data reset by holding down the - volume and the power button and once again when the LG screen pops up but it either freezes or I get the android with a red exclamation point. I am able to access the download mode but both the TOT and KDZ method do not work. Attached are the screenshots for the problems that I am having with the factory data reset, TOT method, and KDZ method. I am not sure where to go from here... I would appreciate any advice you guys may have.

The factory data reset finally worked on the phone. I start going through the initial setup and it freezes and restarts back to the LG screen...and then I'm back to square one of not being able to get off the LG start screen. I have tried the factory data reset a few times now and each time I can get to a different point of the initial setup but it eventually freezes. One time I was able to get to the android home screen but then it froze. This phone is driving me crazy.
Driver wise I have tried the LG Verizon United Driver, I have a problem where it fails to install the LGE AndroidNet for VZW USB Modem. I uninstalled the LG united driver and then tried the ADB installer and received the following error which you can see in the attached images.
Hey buddy, are you using this flashtool? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190

I was finally able to get the TOT method working by using my laptop instead of my desktop. My desktop OS is Windows 7 -64bit and my laptop is Windows 8.1 -64bit.
I went through the initial setup process for android but I did not enter in my Google information. I didn't enter my Google information so that my backup apps would not sync with my phone. I wanted to leave the phone as stock as possible to see if it had anymore freezing and restarting issues.
Well, within about 10 minutes the phone started freezing and restarting again; to the point where it was not able to get past the LG screen... Now I am not able to get past the LG screen at all. The phone is completely stock now, it's not rooted and its running VS98010B so I don't think it is a software issue anymore.
I put the phone in a zip lock bag and put it in between two cold packs. I waited about 15 minutes and powered it up again. It booted straight to the android homepage with no problem. The damn phone is overheating... As long as I have it on an ice pack it works fine but once I take it off it starts to freeze and reboot with 5 to 10 minutes. I would take the phone back to Verizon but I am outside of the 1 year warranty now by 1 month haha what a coincidence
I have never had as many problems with any other smartphone, when it comes to troubleshooting, as I've had with the LG G2. I miss my Galaxy Nexus:crying:.. Damn you Verizon! Bring back the Nexus line!
Well, Hi !
I was using LG G2 LS980 for about 6 months, one month ago i've got a dead zone touchscreen issue, with a 1cm of not working touch around the powerbutton. But then it went worse.
1. Firstly it crashed and turned off while using camera
2. Then it just randomly turned off
3. Now it doesn't boots at all, just a bootloop.
The processor is extremely hot, it was about 67°C, when i was able to boot it.
I still can access Recovery Mode, Download and Safe mode (the all three buttons, still it bootloops).
I've tried to push ZVC, ZVE using LG FlashTool, success in flashing, but still a bootloop.
Wipe data doesn't helps at all.
Any ideas besides trash bin ?
Sounds like you may have a jacked up partition. But you did not mention flashing a ROM. I assume you did.
Your issue isn't quite the same as this, but perhaps this could help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/mega-tut-how-to-fix-bricked-lg-g2-t3055033
Thanks, but i've mentioned, that i've flashed ZVC and ZVE .tot files using LGFlashTool with success in flashing, but the bootloop still persists. It is showing a secure boot error sometimes, still flashing a ROM is pointless.
Btw, no fastboot error
I have a D800, one day I wanted to flash CM12 on it, used twrp flashed gapps and cm12. The phone rebooted but appeared to be stuck in a loop, it finally booted, but turnued off shortly after. The phone occasionally turns on and while it's on randomly turns off. I tried using LG flash tools to revert back to stock (Installed the drivers required from lgs website), the phone goes back to 4.2.2 jellybean and randomly turns off after some usage. I have no idea what I should do now.
Hi guys,
Few days ago I tried to reflash the stock rom (8.0 & 9.0) but the phone got into bootloop.
Since then I tried everything and nothing helped it was booting upto the point that there's Android One logo and as I said it would bootloop, I don't know how but yestetday I managed somehow to get the phone to boot up but while I'm in setup the phone restarts over over, sometimes it's restsrting when I'm entering my name and sometimes in any other section (depends on the speed that I'm doing the setup...
Any ideas how to fix this issue ?
