Is it possible to assign different notification sounds for each notification on the Samsung Galaxy S5. <Example- Voicemail- Good news, Textor sms- Swoosh, and email- Whisper.>
Yes, there are settings within each app.

Hey guys, i don't like have one notification noise for ALL my notifications. now i can't tell the difference between emails, sms etc. i looked under settings but it only allows you to set one sound over all. is there any way to get individual sounds for individual events?
Each one of those have a settings tab. You can change them idependently. IE: Open Messages and go to settings, Notifications and change it. Same with gmail and exchange.
Hello everyone, wanted find out if we can customize the vibration duration of the email notification? (Kinda like whatsapp where can can choose 'default, 'short' or long'.
I've been looking through all the settings options but couldn't find such an option.
Hi,
I have today received my s5 (previously had a note 2) and so far all seems great, apart from one issue. On my note 2, I was able to set contact specific call tones and notification tones, but on the s5, I can only find the option for contact specific ringtones. Am I missing something, or is there a way of adding this feature back?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
i am using the Galaxy S8 with android 7.0
On the lock-screen i receive messages from apps like gmail when there is a new email.
When i read the new email on another device (like laptop or tablet), the lock-screen notification will not be updated --> the new email-icon still there.
Can i change a setting or something which will update the lock-screen when these notifications are read on another device?
Thx
Anybody?
I have a similar issue, the notifications will clear but with a delay of several minutes. Facebook notifications won't clear at all from the facebook app.
I'm I just blind or did Google reMove the overall notification sound within Android Messages? I can set individual contact notification sounds, not not the overall default notification for Android Messages.
Reason I ask is I set different notifications per app. I really don't want Messages to use the default notification sound of the phone. Luckily it is still how I set it. I just hope they don't override it!
In Messages go to Settings -> Notifications -> Behavior, sound & more -> Other notifications
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Why on earth did they bury it so deeply? ?
