[Q] Paranoid Android 24A Verizon G2 - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Have the vs980 and running cm11 24A without a problem. When I was on PA I got permanent lines and had to replace but I'm really tempted to go back to PA. Anybody running paranoid android without a problem?

Flash LG G2 Stock rom - Mac

Is there a Verizon (vs980) stock-based ROM that somebody knows of that I can flash with TWRP? Does such a thing exist? I'd do the thing outlined here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476), but I don't have access to a PC right now .
I also found this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2533018) but when I install with TWRP, it boot loops (Verizon logo).
I'm having GPS issues, and I've heard reports of going back to stock being the only way to get it resolved. I lost my stock backup (accidentally did Format Data in TWRP (2.6.3.3) and blew away my backups).
Any help would be fantastic. I really want GPS back!
Malladus is based on stock.

Knock On and KitKat Roms?

How can I get Knock On or something similar if I use a 4.4 rom such as CM11 or PA? Just got my G2 D801 today. Is there a certain kernal or mod?

A lot of the KK roms (4.4.2) have these features already built in. I know for a fact that cm11 and PA have it where you can knock on and then you have to tap the status instead of just anywhere on the screen to knock off
I'm pretty sure it's a standard feature and only the newer ROM's that were just released don't have it yet

Questions about Kit Kat update T-Mobile.

What's going on world. I've recently found out that the T-Mobile G2 has kit kat ROM floating around and I was just wondering if anyone has flashed it and what their thoughts about it are? Also I've read that after flashing the ROM you lose custom recovery which in turn would leave one stuck with that particular ROM until one is created.. I guess I'm just asking if anyone believes a custom recovery would be up any time soon?

I just received my D801 back from LG repair after dead spots and phantom inputs on my device. LG replaced the touchscreen under warranty. Now the phone is smooth and very responsive, like it should be.
Since I had restored phone to the 10g firmware and unrooted before sending it in, I decided to flash the 20a KK update. Of course I lost root access and custom recovery, but I can live with that awhile I evaluate performance, which is, so far, better than 4.2 JB. T-Mo will eventually push the OTA update, which requires stock recovery. I figured I'd do it manually by flashing the .kdz file, which BTW does NOT wipe data. Despite large size (1.5 GB), file flashes quickly using LG Flash tool.
Maybe I'm just very happy to have my G2 back and working properly, but I like the KK update, although I hope a root exploit is found soon and we get a new custom recovery. That's why I donate to devs!
Don't know if that helps. Give KK a try, you'll like it!

Does anyone know if there are any aosp or aopk ROMs compatible with 24a or are the devs still working things out
Looking for an aosp ROM that I could just flash over malladus ROM for the lg g2 vs980 without going back to 12b baseband

Mahdi Beta 4 has been rock solid, the best 24a based non stock rom I have tried to date.
Resurrection remix also was just updated with 24a

I tried Mahdi ROM and followed the directions to the tee did a complete clean install of ROM and flashed the r1 patch but the volumes are really low I even tried every sound booster out there even put one together myself but only boosted the volumes slightly I was wandering if anyone else is experiencing the same low volumes? see I work in a pretty noisy environment and I need the ringer to be pretty loud I've noticed the low volumes on all the aosp Roms I've tried. So for now I switched back to malladus ROM along with my sound booster which makes the volumes extremely loud. so in the low volume problem an aosp bug or is there a fix for it? And by the way I'm on the Verizon variant of the lg g2
I really love Mahdi ROM but just can't deal with the low volumes hopefully there's a fix for it
I'm currently running Carbonrom and I love it. For the 24a bootstack, bigshotrob22 has rebased the official Carbonrom releases and is posting them in the dev thread. The link to the post with the most recent version is below.

Hello, the ROM I recommend you use is CyanogenMod 11, I'm using this ROM right now on my LG G2, and I love the performance and numerous customizations you can do with it.[emoji4][emoji4][emoji4], what's your variant of the LG G2?

No problem [emoji4], the knock on gesture will still exist on the LG G2 running CyanogenMod 11, you'll just have to knock on the status bar to lock your phone, and you can knock on your screen to turn your phone back on again, make sure you backup your Stock LG ROM using TWRP before you continue to install the ROM, and download the latest Gapps(Google Apps) for the Rom.[emoji4][emoji4]
Good Luck[emoji106][emoji106]
