Is there a Verizon (vs980) stock-based ROM that somebody knows of that I can flash with TWRP? Does such a thing exist? I'd do the thing outlined here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476), but I don't have access to a PC right now .
I also found this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2533018) but when I install with TWRP, it boot loops (Verizon logo).
I'm having GPS issues, and I've heard reports of going back to stock being the only way to get it resolved. I lost my stock backup (accidentally did Format Data in TWRP (2.6.3.3) and blew away my backups).
Any help would be fantastic. I really want GPS back!
Malladus is based on stock.

Hi Everyone,
My problem is that I cannot make a phone call.
Data and network connectivity work great.
I was running a version on ASOP android. Then tried installing
"ROM][4.3|4.4][VZW] HeatshiverSX ROM v1.4 & v2.4 [DEODEXED][<200MB][KERNEL] "
When installing, the Format fail and i had to try it again. After many times, i was able(finally) to install the rom above. Went to VZW got a SIM and everything seemed to work fine. Except........
I CANNOT make calls. Everything works perfect except making phone calls or receiving phone calls.
I just tried installing the most recent modem
"VS98011A
M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.191007
by QUALCOMM, Incorporated Sept 5 2013"
But this didnt fix the problem.
Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks,
Matt

I would try flashing malladus or digital dream as both are based on the original software. Definitely wipe everything. Both have the 11a radio too.

Not sure what you are really asking. The decision is up to you. If you want to go back, then go back. Personally, I see no reason to but that's just me.
What's going on world. I've recently found out that the T-Mobile G2 has kit kat ROM floating around and I was just wondering if anyone has flashed it and what their thoughts about it are? Also I've read that after flashing the ROM you lose custom recovery which in turn would leave one stuck with that particular ROM until one is created.. I guess I'm just asking if anyone believes a custom recovery would be up any time soon?

Read the general G2 section.. There is a long thread about this.

I just received my D801 back from LG repair after dead spots and phantom inputs on my device. LG replaced the touchscreen under warranty. Now the phone is smooth and very responsive, like it should be.
Since I had restored phone to the 10g firmware and unrooted before sending it in, I decided to flash the 20a KK update. Of course I lost root access and custom recovery, but I can live with that awhile I evaluate performance, which is, so far, better than 4.2 JB. T-Mo will eventually push the OTA update, which requires stock recovery. I figured I'd do it manually by flashing the .kdz file, which BTW does NOT wipe data. Despite large size (1.5 GB), file flashes quickly using LG Flash tool.
Maybe I'm just very happy to have my G2 back and working properly, but I like the KK update, although I hope a root exploit is found soon and we get a new custom recovery. That's why I donate to devs!
Don't know if that helps. Give KK a try, you'll like it!
i'm a veteran HTC user, and i'm looking for a rom for my wife's sprint g2. I'd like it to be fast and clean (rather than overly customized with a zillion options ala CM), de-bloated and better battery life if possible. there seems to be a lot of different roms for the different variants, but its all confusing, and the sprint g2 seems to get the least amount of roms of all the g2 variants.
i have flashed twrp 2.7, done a fresh nandroid backup, and i'm currently rooted on ZVC running stock 4.4.2.
thanks in advance!
in before the lock. I can honestly say Mahdi and Omnirom are my favourite.
now check if your nandroid has efs backup and put on computer also grab a copy of the rom the backup was made on.
oh and dont ota on custom recovery, softbrick guarantee doing that
best ls980 rom
The best rom i have flashed and used with no issues is SuperG2 preview
I'm using PARDUS 7.4. Very satisfied.

Have the vs980 and running cm11 24A without a problem. When I was on PA I got permanent lines and had to replace but I'm really tempted to go back to PA. Anybody running paranoid android without a problem?
