[Q] Help! Rooted Samsung GT-9505 stuck on samsung logo

Hi!
I just rooted my Samsung GT-I9505 a few weeks ago with Odin v3.07 and CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar.md5.
Note that I didn't install any custom ROM.
It worked fine until now.
When I turned my phone off, it got stuck in reboot. The screen is black with a "Android OS is upgrading.. Opening all applications."
It's been 30mins and it just stayed there so I decided to take the battery off, put it back in and turn myphone on.
Now it's just stuck with the samsung logo. And whenever I factory reset and reset cache it, it just get stuck with a black screen with a "Android OS is upgrading.. Opening all applications."
Did I just bricked my phone? Is there any way to fix this?
Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!
Wrong section maybe?

From your post I see you got gt-i9505 and that is plain Galaxy S4, not Galaxy S4 Active (gt-i9295). Although the phones are quite like twins, try S4 forum instead.
But if you really have S4 Active (again, it's gt-i9295, it has 3 physical buttons insted of just Home under the screen) and you flashed 9505 as root method, this forum deals with your approach and this particular post might be of interest. There is however even easier way and that is to root from now working CWM recovery for i9295.
Either way good luck with your phone :fingers-crossed:

[Q] Samasung Galaxy S4 SGH-S970G Help Plz!!!!

Ok, so first off I rooted my previous phone (a Verizon Motorola Droid X2) without any problems ever. I dropped Verizon as my carrier and switched to Straight Talk and I bought the Samsung Galaxy S4, after a few months of having it I decided to look for a way to root it. After a few days of browsing and reading about I found and root option that worked. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565758) This saferoot worked and i had superuser and was able to do everything i wanted to.
I then went on the Google play store and installed apps that I previously had on my old device for rooted phones. Well I installed chainfire3D and opened it up and clicked install the drives (which then requires a reboot) after a sort time I noticed my phone was stuck on the loading screen and I can't get past it.
I then start looking for a unroot/unbrick option in order to restore my phone to default firmware and factory settings to get it to work again.
Now here is the dilemma...
Like it says in the title, the phone model is SGH-S970G and for the life of me I can't find this model's firmware anywhere.
plz help me asap!!!!
Thank you in advance for any useful information to help point me in the right direction or give me a solution!

If you get your phone fixed, I suggest you skip reinstalling Chainfire 3D. It specifically says it's not for Jelly Bean devices.

[Q] Bell apps show up on my Rogers phone

Hi,
I bought an S4 which was previously rooted. Last owner unrooted it and used triangle away to make sure all was as stock looking as possible.
Last week I did a factory reset on the phone as I was having issues with it. After the reset it shows all the stock apps and standard Rogers bloatware. BUT it now has a couple of Bell Bloatware apps as well!!!
I need to send the phone in for repair as I am getting "intermittent SIM card not detected, phone is restarting error". Should I be worried that Samsung will detect that the phone was at one time rooted?
What should I do?
Thanks

When the last owner unrooted the phone, they likely used one of the odin files from here which are all Bell based for I337M (Canadian S4). There is a thread in here where this happened to another user and they returned the phone to stock Rogers instead of Bell, you will need to search for that thread. The bigger concern is Knox is probably tripped on the phone, when it boots up there will be some tiny text it the top left corner, yellow and red I believe, there is a thread about that here too.... If Knox is tripped (pretty sure it is) then all you can do is try to get it repaired by Samsung, I wouold be interested to find out if they do it or not.....
Thanks for the reply.
I shut the phone down and then turned it back on, paying close attention to evenrything. There is no small text in any corner. What is odd id that the phone goes through its boot sequence, gets to the lockscreen, and then goes through the boot sequence again a second time.
And for clarification, I have all the Rogers bloat, but I have three Bell bloat apps too!
I will do a search again to see if I can find the threads you have mentioned.

You have to go into download mode to see the text.
Sent from Black<3's I337 running Foxhound ROM
Put the phone in download mode and no small text.
Now that the phone is not rooted, can I put it in download mode, attach it to a PC and flash a stock Rogers 4.3 ROM via ODIN? Do I need root for this?

Not to ODIN it no. Root not required.
Found the other thread, you have spoken of. It seems like that guy got bloatware from Bell INSTEAD of Rogers. I have blaotware from Rogers(ok
) AND Bell(Not ok).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422497
Almost same issue here on my N900W8. My phone is working fine and rooted, except I got the Rogers AND Bell apps too before rooting and flashing CWM (only way I knew of at the time to force boot following seandroid enforcing error). I data wiped, downloaded and flashed the labeled "Rogers" stock ROM from SamMobile, and first time I ever saw bloatware from two carriers on any phone.
I disabled the Bell apps thinking that was all, but instead of 4G, I get H+. LTE connects fine outdoors, but H+ seems slightly slower than the 4G I'm used to. Which makes me wonder if LTE speeds are impacted too, hope not. Anyway, it's a bother because I am rarely in an LTE zone.
Tomorrow, I will try unrooting with SuperSU (is this even important if I'm wiping & flashing?), data wiping with CWM, re-flashing same file from SamMobile and not flashing anything more, and trying emergency recovery with Kies. Anyone know if this will work or change anything in the end? Or is Kies 3 also affected by the Knox counter? CSC (OYA) is the same as the non-rooted up-to-date S4 in the house.
Thanks
OP, have you tried using someone else's SIM card? Just a thought.

[Q] Soft bricked S4 i9506? (international)

Hi all,
I know.
I shouldn't have been messing around with with things I was unsure about, but here we are.
I'm pretty sure its just a soft brick, and a simple fix, but seeing how quickly I broke it in the first place, was hoping someone could hold my hand through the process of fixing it.
I managed to mess it up by deleting bloat-ware manually (to de-clutter) after seeing there was not many stable roms available for the S4 i9506.
Of course what I really deleted were vital applications for the operation of my phone.
It allows me to get into the reboot screen and do a factory reset and all that biz. (See attached photos)
I am aware of Odin (kinda) but just as familiar with it as I was with rooting and deleting "bloat ware" haha.
If someone could point me in the right direction for the correct firmware I need and a tutorial on how to do it, that would be awesome.
Thanks everyone.
Samsung galaxy S4 i9506.
Australia.
successfully rooted using towelroot.
successfully deleted important things.
Just flash a stock rom with Odin and you will be fine. If you don't know which one, just pick the latest.
soft bricked s4
Thanks for the advice,
I will give that a go tonight.
Cheers.

I'm a noob and I need help/advice Sm T-330NU

So I've searched the forums for a while now, and being the noob I am, I do not know what i am looking for. I was trying to root my daughters tablets (Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8''). I used the CF auto root. Everything list on his download page matched perfectly with what the tablet said in the about device tab (I'm talking about the model number and all the version number were exact. So i use Odin and everything went perfectly. The tablet went through its steps and Odin said PASS in big green letters. But it got stuck in the screen that says "Samsung". So I let it sit there for a while and finally i held the power button and it rebooted. It booted up fully but it kept popping up that all the apps were stopping. Touchwiz and all the storage "has stopped" along with tons of other apps. So i can't go home to get to the apps. I can go into settings and do stuff, but I cant get anything else to work. Is there anything i can go to get Touchwiz to work so that I can navigate? I can provide more info if anyone is willing to help me. Please this my daughters favorite toy in the world. I'll donate $15 to anyone who can help me get the tablet back functional. Thanks! I am such an idiot. I have no idea what I am doing and no clue why I decided to root her tablet.

*UPDATE*
I was able to do a factory reset and start over. Although still have the custom kernel warning when it reboots. Is there a way to get rid of that? Thanks!
Do not use CF Auto Root for now, use chainfire's latest Systemless Root, in this time of writing, i can't find the link to his latest systemless root zip, flash it using a custom recovery.
About that kernel warning, it means that you modified something OR rather the CF Auto Root you flashed in the kernel, this happens also when you flash a custom firmware. You can't remove it. But beware if this warning comes out whenever you restart or power on the device, you might have triggered the KNOX status to 0x1 and that means your warranty is now borked and sammy can use it whenever you want a repair from them to deny your request.
