Hi!
I just rooted my Samsung GT-I9505 a few weeks ago with Odin v3.07 and CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar.md5.
Note that I didn't install any custom ROM.
It worked fine until now.
When I turned my phone off, it got stuck in reboot. The screen is black with a "Android OS is upgrading.. Opening all applications."
It's been 30mins and it just stayed there so I decided to take the battery off, put it back in and turn myphone on.
Now it's just stuck with the samsung logo. And whenever I factory reset and reset cache it, it just get stuck with a black screen with a "Android OS is upgrading.. Opening all applications."
Did I just bricked my phone? Is there any way to fix this?
Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!
Wrong section maybe?

From your post I see you got gt-i9505 and that is plain Galaxy S4, not Galaxy S4 Active (gt-i9295). Although the phones are quite like twins, try S4 forum instead.
But if you really have S4 Active (again, it's gt-i9295, it has 3 physical buttons insted of just Home under the screen) and you flashed 9505 as root method, this forum deals with your approach and this particular post might be of interest. There is however even easier way and that is to root from now working CWM recovery for i9295.
Either way good luck with your phone :fingers-crossed:

Yeah! Sorry. Posted it in the wrong section. Just don't know how I'll delete this post.
Aww.. Thanks! Hopefully it'll be fix before the morrow.
Please pay attention to the device forum in which you seek help
There are many models of S4 and use of some software will turn your device into a $700 paperweight

I tried to flash the Overcome Rom onto my Tab, but it didn't work. I would turn it on see the Samsung Galaxy Tab screen, but then immediately go to a black screen.
So I tried to download my stock .tar file (M180S.DL08.0204-REV3-UPGRADE-CL761350_user.tar) and flashed it again. I went into download mode and put it into the .pda slot, and tried again. Still nothing. The same Samsung Logo then a black screen.
Then I read something about using P1_add_hidden.pit and then flashing the Roto JME_Full to get it back to life. So I did this, and then rebooted. This definitely did not work. Now I saw just a red line on the screen when I booted.
So anyway, I am able to get into download mode, but NOT recovery mode.
Also, when I try to charge it or plug it into the computer I can see the battery come up for a second, then it automatically goes to a black screen.
PLEASE HELP ME! I am a noob and don't know what to do.
Thanks.
UPDATE:
I tried out that program Heinberg(?). I don't remember the name and I am at work now. I was able to get a tar file somewhere and take out all the parts and flash. i am now able to see the Samsung Galaxy Tab logo, then the blue progress bar under it but it seems to freeze up after that and goes nowhere. I am also still unable to boot into recovery mode.
Good Luck. I am in SK and when I found out the other countries didn't have the DMB TV antennae it was a simple guess to assume there was software that the devs in other countries didn't know about.
I took mine to Samsung this week and they asked if I had downloaded anything recently. They did a hard reset and brought back my WiFi. Seems there are some laws in place that you have 14 days buyer's remorse to return it, followed by 30 days (or maybe 90) to replace a bad unit, and then 1 year free repairs. If you are within the first 2 time frames I would find a reason to return it as broken.
If someone can help you, I really am a noob when it comes to rooting and etc, then remind them of the DMB TV section and to watch out for it when they suggest something.
Hope this helps!
deadhead85: Have you found a way to fix it? Can you please share the firmware or at least a download link so i can "ressurect" my Korean Galaxy Tab?
Thanks in advance!
what happened with you?!!!
Its been a few months since Ive bothered trying to figure out how to fix my Galaxy Tab 4, SM-T230NU, but Im finally getting around to fixing it. It sat in my closet for a few months simply because I did not have the time to fix it. It's soft bricked (loads the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 bootscreen, but stays stuck on the single Samsung logo). Its not hard bricked as power turns on, but it is soft-bricked. Will running NE2 I found in the firmware section fix the soft-brick? I just downloaded odin 3.09, and right now NE2 is downloading through Mega.nz......any help would be appreciated....

Flash the right firmware for your device and see if it boots. If it doesn't boot within 20minutes after flashing, simply reboot into recovery and factory reset.

When I rooted the device, gaining root on the 230NU was abit of work, so I had to go through a lot of in and out holes just to root the sucker, and then a week or two later there are many different ROMs available for the 230NU...I'm shocked that someone finally found a workaround for the marvel processor in the 230NU because the 8 I believe has a snapdragon and/or euronoyx (however you spell it)

HI guys. I have a bit of an issue with my phone.
It's the Sprint variant of the Galaxy Note 3 and I had been running Temasek's CM12 build on it. However, I wanted to try Sacs S6 port that was posted over at the Sprint Galaxy Note 3 forum.
I flashed it, but now when I try to load it, it gets stuck on the Samsung loading screen.
I tried to restore my phone back to the backup I made right before I flashed it but when I do that my phone shows the Galaxy Note III screen then turns black and nothing happens.
Any advice would be very appreciated. I'm very confused at the moment.
Sprint forum Q&A as its a different product .
Suggest recovery mounts and storage format system data cache preload .
Boot to download mode and flkash correct stock rom via Odin .

Try updating your boot loader to L one
So basically my S7 Edge ended up in a bootloop and I don't know why.. It had some problems, ended up in a bootloop from time to time, but after the battery drained I could restart it and it worked.
Since 3 days ago it constantly is in a bootloop, when I try to start the phone. Tried to let the battery drain, but still if I try to restart the phone, it's in a bootloop. Then I even can't access recovery or download mode...
I can access the recovery mode and download mode, after draining the battery.
I already tried: wiping cache and factory reset. Still bootloop, if I start the phone.
I had the idea of flashing a custom rom, but I didn't enable the OEM unlock..
What else can I try to get this phone back to work?.. [I am currently using my old Galaxy Nexus from 2011 and it runs surprisingly fine ]
EDIT: I got stock rom and stock recovery, so basically untouched stock.
Thank you guys in advance
Hayalamm
download stock rom from sammobile and flash through Odin after booting into download mode. search google or go through the guide section of the forum on how-to do it. you should be fine.
Do I have to install the Stock ROM of my carrier? I bought the phone via Vodafone in Germany, but I dont think, that it is branded.

I did like you said and it still gets stuck on the Samsung logo and after that bootlooping all the damn time.. It passes the "Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge screen, but always gets stuck after that..
EDIT: Tried to get into recovery mode an the display got wierdly stuck on the first screen at "installing system update".. There was a wide black stripe at the lowert part of the display and many many thin black stripes thoughout the whole display. Since then it is unresponsive for anything..
Are you sure that your phone doesnt have any hardware issues?
If not then search for details on Odin's options. Maybe theres an option for a more theral wiping.
Other than these i honestly dont know what else can be done exccept for sending to samsung support center.

Sending in won't help I think, because my display is shattered a bit. Had the problems before that too..
I have a similar situation. So far I have not found a solution. the phone is lying around idly. I store it for experiments)))
Okay guys, I've got the S7 edge (SM G935F) Exynos var.
I restarted my phone yesterday, it hasn't been rooted or anything and it got stuck in a boot loop. Then I got the common 'blue light of death' with the black screen, rendering it useless.
Whilst in this state, I can't force restart the phone or enter recovery / DL mode.
The battery finally drained and I've flashed new (stock) firmware through ODIN. Still the same outcome.
I figured I could root and get a custom rom to maybe work however I have the FRP lock issue so I can't flash TWRP.
I'm open to any ideas, anythings worth a try at this point lmao, last phone I rooted was my S5 so a little out of touch with it all.
Cheers

I had the same issue for about a week now, luckily i didnt have the frp lock on, but I have tried everything possible from downgrading to upgrading to flashing a custom rom : everything seems to just fail in every way possible and youll always end up with the blue light of death as you call it. I came to the conclusion that this isnt a software related issue , it is more than a hardware issue related to the s7 edge... I ended up forgetting about it after all ... Good luck !
