hey friends I have iball 3G 7271HD70, and I installed kespersky antivirus that shows me that android os has been hacked and shows a spy virus I have formatted and reflashed two times but it still shows the same after fresh installation. When I format there are two options one auto second manual, but for manual sp flash tool shows a warning that -if starting address is 0x00000000 then calibration data will be erased is this data important and How to remove this virus permanently.

uninstall the kespersky app, then forget about it. those android antivirus apps are worthless, all of them. as i have known many android users that kespersky found viruses on.. but none of their devices actually had a virus. those apps are pure junk.

woopsie HDD help needed!

Hi....i was going to format my shift and since i never used the vista recovery option from the bios i downloaded gparted and made a live cd usb and booted it up, deleted every single partition uncluding the hidden one that i could see and in total i had one big unallocated partitionless harddrive which i saved the changes and rebooted.
I then inserted a usb stick with windows 7 on it and proceeded to install, i created a new partititon and windows asked to create that 100mb system reserved and i then proceeded with the installation which took more than twice as long as it has ever done before.
Is this due to my gparted fiddling? Because at the second stage of installation, the unpacking of files it went quick and smooth up to 38% and after that slow as hell, unlike ever before during any version install...
And now that i finally had that part of the installation behind me it proceeded to automatically reboot for the final stage and when it did reboot after the RAM and basic BIOS tests it reported bad SMART status and i pressed F1 to continue and everything resumed as it should...
But I cannot find any settings in the BIOS to turn of the SMART checking so what can I do now?
Did i not delete the MBR? as I thought it would have gone with the partitions...
And why did the installation go so incredibly slow this time?
now I just got a Blue Screen & Ataport.sys message.
Could it really be such bad timing that the computers HDD has started to fail at the same time i deleted the partition or is this a software issue and not a hardware one?
What version of Windows 7?
I accidentally downloaded a RC/ Checked Debug version which had the same problems on an original untouched HDD.
If you are using correct version, then try repartitioning woth another tool liek acronis disk director. Format completely. Reboot, then re-partition , install windows 7 (RTM available tomorrow)
oh you sound a bit more optimistic than over at hd guru forum, check what they wrote when i published my thread over there:

[Q] bad blocks

hey guys ik there are threads already on this but dont want to revive a dead thread, i have recently found that i have about 9 bad blocks on my device. i have ran task29 a few times and they are still there. i have also tried to flash the leodev file with no luck on the flash comes back saying not signed and bs... is there any way i can fix my baby?
How do you know, that you have bad blocks? Is there any programm to check this?
how to see
How to See if you have Bad Blocks: Okay since people are asking, here is a short step by step for both EU and TMous: 1) Format your Boot, Data, Cache, System, Dalvik Cache (Eu users your Dalvik Cache is on your sdcard on the SD-EXT) 2) Flash your rom. 3) After flashing DO NOT REBOOT. 4) Go to Advanced, then Error Report. 5) This will copy the Recover.log to your SDCard. 6) Go Back and enter Mount & Storage. 7) Mount USB SD. 8) On your computer navigate your SD Drive. 9) Look for a folder called: clockworkmod. 10) Inside you will find a file called: recovery.log 11) Copy this to your Desktop. 12) Open with Wordpad or Notepad++ If you see in that whole log, Could not erase blah blah bad block, or anything that says bad block, with the exception of a location called "system/xbin/badblocks" (This location is normal hats a file name), then you have bad blocks, and the more you have, the smaller your cwr partition actually is.
try task2a

(Frequently Asked TOO Many Times Infuriating Damn Questions):

2: "After task 29, I get this output in MTTY:
ERASE block xxx FAIL !!!

(where x is a random number)
This has been asked 100+ times in the Diamond thread so this is the final time I will answer:
IT MEANS NOTHING..NADA..ZIP! I have not experienced ANY problem with this output...Please stop asking!

I have also nearly the same problem with my babe: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944464&page=2
Mtty shows me 3 bad nand blocks and have big problems with booting wp7, have also startet a new thread.... have also not found a solution for my actuall problem.
With my old HD2 i had the problem that its often crashed down by freezing or random reboots,...sometimes about 10x per day.
do you want to know, what was the solution in that case?
Had installed stock rom (3.14) and let my HD2 to fully drain the battey until the device has not response any more.
Then had fully charged the battery (green light on mobile), restart the device, charged the battery again until the green light was shown again.
Had installed wp7 and the problem never occured any more... try maybe this

[Q] AmericanAndroid SD boot problem

Hi,
This is my first time with android - that's why I'm trying SD.
All went ok for about 3 days - I tried many apps from the market & all of a sudden my phone rebooted!
When it booted again I saw the lock screen & can see the tiny icons on the status bar then it just reboot again!
After several attempts I got it booting but most of the apps now force close - my contacts are gone so as my SMS.
Any idea what might caused something like that? is Android so vulnerable that
installing some application can cause a total loss of the system?
- Do I need to re-install every thing again?
- will deleting data.img is enough to force a clean install?
- Is there a way to restore my old data from data.img?
- Is there a recommended book to upgrade from a noob to an educated user?
Thanks,
it's strange because when Americn android craches, it should bootloop.
here's a couple of suggestions:
backup the valuable contents of your SD card then search for file system errors, if your card has a corrupt file here and there it might be the one causing the problem, for the how to, it's in my troubleshooter, check my sig.
Usually a fresh data.img file is considered a clean install unless you've messed with root explorer (or any similar app) and did something wrong to your sytem files.
I'm not sure how to get the data back, I know you can access the data.img contents using a special tool, see here for info http://www.howtoforge.com/access-linux-partitions-from-windows
there's also a tool on softpedia to do so.
but you can try to look for the SMS data somewhere on your data.img, extract them to your harddrive, then copy them back using android explorer. I haven't tried it, and theoretically it might work, but I can not guarantee it.
My advice is that don't put too much pressure on the device, it's running Android from the SD which is not designed to work as NAND. let the device take a breath for a few seconds after each installation, it may say it finished, but it's still doing something in the background, I learned that the hard way. and always backup our data before you do something new.
and yes, if you use a fresh data.img you will have to install everything again.

Unable to use OTG on android 4.4.2 head unit after firmware upgrade

I wanted to use a carplay device with my car . for this purpose I installed a firmware upgrade in order to unable to installation of applications.
After the upgrade, access to files on USB was lost .
Upgrade was taken from here :
That means that before an upgrade, I was able to listen to the music from USB stick via builtin media player. After the upgrade, media player does not see the USB.
For the same reason, carplay app doesnot see the device attached to USB port.
The strange thing is that I can see the files via file explorer ( from the head unit) , they are available at /storage/udisk.
so from one side the unit can see the USB and files, but from other side applications cant see it .
What can be the problem and possible solution ?
The details about versions :
car type : Mitsubishi Outlander 2016
MGCOL_MITSU1
Android version
4.4.2
Baseband version
MPSS.TR.1,0-01780-M8626AAAAANAZM

Permissions... file managers generally have global permissions.
Check through settings under storage and individual apps. That's my guess.

yes , I was thinking about it too.
The problem that when I want to change permissions via this file explorer , I got the error message that I am not root . but I do .
How can I be sure that I do root , or alternatively how to change permissions ?

Many times if a app is well coded and needs special permissions it will ask for them during installation. Sometimes they can be set after the fact. Try looking in accessibility.
I haven't played with Kitkat in years but generally it's pretty straight forward. I don't root so know very little on that side. ABD editing might be another option but my knowledge of that is very limited.
Try doing a bunch of Google searches for similar problems with Kitkat storage. The device doesn't have to be the same. You can find solutions many time by cross referencing other devices even platforms.
Many issues are long standing
After the initial search for each parameter, add XDA at the end to find posts here about it easily.
Doing searches for solutions is how I first learned of XDA many years ago

I rooted the device , gave permissions , but nothing happend.
I put the app in the system/app folder , installed it from there . also does not helped ...
somehow a tool called 'root explorer' can see the usb content, but my app or media player cant see it .

Ummm, I take OTG support for granted... but does your OS/device support it?
Maybe this is the issue?
Incompatible format on the card?
Try formatting card in the device then load data preferably with that device.
Swapping cards between devices can cause issues if each device is writing to it. Haven't seen it happen on Androids but Canon cams, hell yeah.

I tried several cards , small and big , formatted in a different ways.
And my device worked in the past , it is something that happened after the upgrade

It's rooted?
If it was a OTA upgrade I normally say factory reset time. In your case, not sure that's the right thing to do.
It's not the cards, it's settings or firmware I think it's safe to say.
Try clearing the system cache and a hard reboot.
Try in safe mode to rule out a rogue 3rd party app. Try clearing the data in the associated system apks.
Sometimes poorly coded 3rd party apps can toggle hidden user settings that remain even after uninstall. It's rare but quit the horror when it happens. Scruntinize the apps you installed.
One other irritating thing I've seen happen is clearing the data of a system appd in settings doesn't always remove presumably null marks. When I cleared the data with my package disabler, it fixed the problem.
Saved me a factory reset.
Fun isn't it? Been running down some glitches on my N10+'s, eventually you'll sort it out.
Keep at it over the course of a few days, weeks...
Only persistent is omnipotent

Dr Fone recovery option messed up my phone getting "Enter your password to start up device" and No support single sku

When I plugin my Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and then select recovery module and it show as connected and then I select android data recovery option and then select recover documents only and then click next. Then it show and detected device model, downloading package and it went like that till 99% uncertain if it hit 100% or not and then it caused my device to reboot and after it reboot now it is asking for a password to start up device but I tried device screen password, google account password and samsung account password but all didnt work. Thus it shows have 7 attempts left before factory reset itself.
The boot up looks a bit different from normal too, unsure if it is coming through a different type of boot and if there is a way to reverse to how it was earlier?
In recovery mode it shows in recovery log pid 2064 ran. where first line filesystem table code was;
0/ efs ext4/ dev/block/platform/1354000.dwmmc0/by-name/EFS(/dev/block/mmcblk0p3) 0
and in following
#ls /cache/recovery
ksmg
-rw------root root 8190724 2022-04-02 11:19 last_ode_dumpstate_err_check_password.log
From what I could see further in log it seems like maybe dr fone tried to root phone since I see files seem to have been overwritten probably as same file name shown where earlier recorded in time stamp as either 2017 or 2008 and underneath that dst is run with today tim stamp.
What would be method to solve to get back to normal working state without any data loss?
It seems when check via dr fone transfer showing as mem capacity 2797mb and 1362mb used whereas it should show as 32Gb, also when start up it says Enter your password to start up your device but I am certain I enter correct passwords but it is not verifying. Also in recovery mode it shows No support single sku supported api:3.
And when try backup option no files come up on scan does that mean the Dr fone recovery package that it installed wiped out the data? Or is it like in another different boot system for recovery? How to solve this problem?
Also any backup software you think could backup stuff before applying any drastic fixes
I think your phone internal storage is corrupted because of Dr. Fone and this is caused by the data encryption inside the phone and I think that it requires the encryption password, and to solve this problem, you must flash a modified recovery like TWRP or CWM and then pull all the data by making a MOUNT of the internal storage it will only works on old Android version 6.x or 7.x but you can try
My android is 6.0.1 so I think it should work, do you have any video tutorials or a thread with stepwise instructions to get twrp or cwm to backup current data and later restore?
Also any idea if use the dr fone repair device feature it might fix?
Dr.Fone only one thing do transfer WhatsApp chat between android and iOS all else features not work perfect so try another way, ask google how mount internal storage on android phones by twrp it’s easy and not need a tutorial just flash a custom recovery and don’t let device to boot enter recovery mode immediately and go to mount and press mtp or mount storage
Looks like the device name has got renamed as well best try to see if have a file explorer or manager for android so can see if files still intact? Any pc softwares that can be used to clarify without need to unlock screen since it is asking for a pass saying Enter your password to start up your device but I am certain I enter correct passwords but it is not verifying.
If the files are intact then I can try twrp or odin cf root flashing to see if can flash home version file so files possibly stay intact. Or if they are anyways not then will try factory reset via recovery mode and then will need recommendation of good software to recover data for free
Any ideas?
That app is trashware. Do Not use!
If a factory reset doesn't clear it you'll need to reflash the stock rom.
The data is lost... that's my opinion.
Always backup all critical data redundantly to at least two hdds that are physically and electronically isolated from each other and the PC... or you will lose data, eventually!
NEVER encrypt a data backup drive.
Do copy/paste file transfer, verify file size and folder count match. Test for readability.
NEVER clone music data bases, copy/paste only.
Do not use compression or apps like SmartSwitch to backup critical data, they can fail you miserably.
You can never have too many backup data drive. Avoid using flash memory; quality hdds have better memory retainment. Store in more than one location. Near lightning strikes can wipe them; a metal earth grounded box or safe is best.

Can you recommend a free pc software that could possibly backup device in current state? Or a free pc software that could do data recovery without need to root phone so if I do go ahead with flash and it wipes data or i do factory reset then I could try to get backup data.

Not on an unrooted phone. You can try this.
If you used Drfone it has likely already encrypted the data with their own encryption key.
Hopefully some of your data is backed up somewhere else because this is a dead horse... I believe.
I be more concerned about salvaging the phone at this point. It's a tough lesson from the U of hard knocks... don't repeat it. Sorry.
