Hey guys. I have read alot of threads where people are having similar issues, which is actually really easy to fix. I'm not going to write 500 words explaining it.. Just follow those steps bellow
Fix most similar issues (CLEAN INSTALL):
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE HSPL 2.08 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
Task 29 simply clears all the cache, data everything on your phone.. it makes your phone brand new.
1. download task 29 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=644781
2. enter bootloader mode (hold volume down button while clicking on power button once) PS: make sure your phone is off.
3. install task 29
now you will have nothing on your phone.
4. install radio Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787 (highly recommended rom for mostly nand roms)
You can now flash an android rom. (if you have to install it with cwm, look at the instructions below:
How to install CWM on MAGLDR (NOT CLK!)First install magldr (run updateutility.exe as an admin) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893618
If you want to install Clockwork Mod download CWM. You will see 3 versions. 150mb, 250mb and 400mb. To know which one to flash, check what the chef of your android rom has written. If not, ask him
Download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=987531 (scroll down)
(make sure your phone is turned off) Turn on your phone. Hold down the power button untill you enter MAGLARD. CLick on usb flasher. Now right click on DAF.exe (clockworkmod) and run as an admin. After flash is done, you are ready to flash an android rom trough Clockworkmod. Go to ad recovery and install your rom
Clk and MAGLDR are differant bootloaders!Clk:
- charge while phone is turned off
- better rom manager support
- faster bootup
- Open source
- PPP
Magldr:
-Wp7 support
-Rmnet
-Tetris Support
How to install CLK the professional way:download:
clk1.4_150mb (3).rar
cLK_recovery_3.0.2.5 (4).zip / recovery_3.2.0.0_leo.img is the newest recovery
fastboot drivers for manual installation (2).rar http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?3xbr1nqoonhkcrh
ALL THE DOWNLOAD LINKS, EXEPT FASTBOOT DRIVERS, ARE ATTACHED BELOW!
extract them all.
1. Now install clk 1.4 as you would install wm 6.5/task29 etc.
2. When that is done, you should see a code on your phone. Now install the fastboot drivers. (go to contol panel, drivers. You will see android with a yellow "!" there. Click on it, and choose install manually, the locate to fastboot drivers.rar and install it. (after the installation is done, you should see (fastboot processing commands on your phone)
3. Put the clk_recovery into the data.rar folder. Now hold "shift" on your keyboard, and right click no your mouse. Choose "open command prompt here". Now type in: fastboot flash recovery clk_recovery_3.0.2.5.img.
4. When the flash is done, type in fastboot reboot. NOW PRESS THE HOME BUTTON ON YOUR PHONE QUICKLY, and install the rom through CWM.

GPS FIX - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953630
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1100114 (guaranteed working! got gps lock in 2 seconds)
To make the gps lock even faster, remember to edit the gps.conf file inside system/etc to the location where you live. You can find the ntp pool server from here:

Fix mini FC issues/wifi not workingStuck at android screen or cm7 loading screen? try this:
At clockworkmod (option 8) wipe cache, factory reset, then go to advanced and wipe dalvik chache and battery stats, if it doesnt work, try to reinstall everything. (sometimes, just reinstalling the rom works) + MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE RIGHT CLOCKWORKMOD, IF NOT YOU HD2 WILL BE STUCK AT ANDROID SCREEN,,,,,,, if you dont have the right radio, it will be stuck at htc screen.
If you get : nand kernel open failed, make sure you are trying to install a MAGLDR rom and not a CLK ROM
If your wifi is not working, do a task29, then wipe cache/data/dalvik cache from cwm. Then reinstall the rom.
to fix wifi issue, try wiping cache and dalvik cache, flash the kernel and fix permissions. You can also try to replace the wpa_suppliciant from your rom.
Nand USB Init Failed on MAGLDRTry this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895655
If that doesn't work, make sure you are running DAF.exe as an admin
Fix robotic voice issue:1. First solution, disable “Audible touch tones” from the “Sound Settings” menu(just uncheck the box) and reboot your phone. (Note: Disable it right after you flash a new ROM and reboot, that way your phone system will remember it.) So, no more Robo Voice for you.
2. Second solution, while you experienced the Robotic-Voice call, enable the loud speaker, and disable it. You will have no more Robotic-Voice until your next boot.
How to fix robotic voice sound issue
How to fix the 2 seconds delay issueHead over to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1222427
confirmed working on many people, (mostly magldr), worked on me (I'm usng Clk) (update [Sep] WWORKING ON ALL AUO SCREENS!)
HOW TO FIX RANDOMLY REBOOTING ISSUE!Go to settings - Wireless & Networks - Mobile Networks - Network operators, search for operators, then choose your operator.
Ever since android nand came out, I had randomly reboots, after doing this, it never happened again.
It can also happen because of under/overvolting.
I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING, BUT NOTHING WORKS!!ok, try this
- Download a stock Rom from htc.com
- Rename the extension to .zip
- open it with winzip and extract the RUU_signed.nbh file to a folder
- Rename it to LEOIMG.nbh and copy it to the root of a microSD card thats been formatted to FAT32
- Insert your storage card into your phone
- Enter Bootloader and follow onscreen instructions to flash
(after it is done, install hspl 2.08, radio 2.15, clk/magldr, and from cwm wipe data/cache/dalvik cache)
My Icons are to small!Locate to system using root explorer. Open build.prop, and edit the lcd density. 240 is normal. You can do this before flashing a rom too.
My battery life is so bad/ I want more RAM!!!
Try to remove the widgets you are not using.
Dont use live wallpapers.
Dont turn on wifi/gps/cellular data/bluetooth unless you need it!

Radio Install is not needed Task29 does not remove your Radio,SPL,or Splash Screen.
Maybe you can also explain how dalvic and other caches do work in magldr?
Seems the OP's love the CWM and are developing more and more that way.

Yes, I know that, but radio 2.15 is recommended by alot of chefs.. That's why I included it in my post.
thanks a lot man. task29 helped me with installing a clean Android build after I had set up dual boot to WP7 & SD Android and wanted to go back to Android

GPS issues on all roms
Do you know if it fixes some issues like the GPS making the screen freeze and the phone lock up? My roms are running well, I only have that problem when I use GPS.
P.S.: I've already configured the gps.config for my location (Brazil) and the GPS is finding the satellites very fast but the it make the phone crashes very often
Hi, great thread! Thanks for the info.
I have a question about the SD-card. Is it necessary to format the card before installing a ROM? And if so what format (FAT32 or..)?
Thanks and regards but what problems that requires this meathod to be fixed
Thanks for the info.

happened to me to, but i changed my rom, it's not happening anymore something in the rom you are using may cause your phone crash when you use your gps. Maybe you should ask the chef of the rom if the issue is familiar, and if it is a fix for it ?

Which Rom are you using?
Ok, so i have a friends HD2 right now because she was having issues with it. After using it with the stock OS i immediately found the phone doing random tasks that i didnt initiate. For example, i would be in messages or email and it would just start calling the last dialed number over and over again. Id end the call and it would just start another. It would also just open voice commands without ever even touching the phone.
So i decided it was probably a OS bug or something, so i Installed a custom WINMO ROM and put android on it. It ran great for 2 days and it seemed i had fixed it. WRONG!! The bug is still there! What could be causing this issue?
I thought maybe it was the radio, but i flashed like 4 of them and it is still possessed!!
Anyone have any ideas???
Thanks

I would suggest flash to one radio, 2.15.50.14, do a task 29(very important to get rid of any traces of old files/data in your internal rom partition) then depending which way you're going, winmmo or android, flash that.
Just had to read the thread with a title like that
Roloracer has hit it on the nail, just follow his instructions, and don't forget to format the sd card on the PC before putting it back in the phone
In my house its only the wife that acts possessed, lol

I would recommend him to format the sd card in CWM since it's way easier to do over the pc way.
In CWM go to format card and select 1024 mb with a 0 swap.

Well thats what radio i initially flashed and is the radio that is on there now.
What is task 29? (sorry, im fairly new to this)
As to formatting SD card, i did that on MY HD2 and it is running NAND DL Desire by Dandiest. I formatted in Gnome Parition. Made a 1536 partition ext4, then broke that up into another ext4 partition at 512.
Is this what i should do on her phone? She likes having both WINMO and Android.
Thanks for all the replies and help!!

Task 29 HERE
I suggest you run the attached Task 29 .exe together in a folder with the
.nbh file of Radio 2.15.50.14
procedure: (HSPL a prerequisite)
1. take the Task 29.exe and the .nbh file of Radio 2.15.50.14 put these two in a folder
2. Enter bootlloader (with device off, long press volume down while briefly pressing power button)
3. connect device to pc via usb
4. run Task 29 as administrator (or just double click it)
5. dont panic if your screen goes completely while, just remove battery
6. put back battery, enter bootloader again and flash any custom winmo ROM

Couldnt I just run Task29 with radio, (it will still be HSPL right?) then flash MAGLDR and just flash a NAND android rom?
My guess is yes, but would like some verification before i do ir
NEVERMIND...I just read your NAND guide in your sig....(which i used to on MY hd2, awesome guide and thanks BTW)
I will explore a little more before i ask questions from now on.
Thanks again Guys. and i will still update as to if it works!
if you have the radio already flashed , you don't need to flash it ever again!!! even after task 29, you don't need to, task 29 doesn't touch where your radio is stored.
I flashed my phone to 2.15 radio back in last november and task 29 about 20 times since then and never had to mess with the radio.
hi...i have a big problem...i cannot install an OS on my htc...especially a radio version...i receive an error at 100% saying that its not compatible or something like that....if i install a 6.5 Windows rom the phone won't start...so i'm guessing it is because of the radio....please someone help...tnx
Check if you phone gets hot... if yes then your phone has heating issues.
te be sure try this:
put you phone in fridge for 5-10 min ( take out battery, sim card, memory card and put phone in a bag to protect from water ), than try to install ( usb method or sd card method - i prefer last one)... probly everything will go ok but phone still wont boot up - if it does then its not heating issues.
I hope it works
PS: for heating issues visit link provided in my signature ( Solving the thermal problems of HD2 ) .
hi thx for the advice...but i do not think thats the problem now....maybe it was when it had an operating system and it kept restarting...but now i cant put on him a radio version...to install a os rom i can...but freezes in the logo screen...so i guees i need to install radio on it so the os will start..but i cant(....and i also tried to delete the memory with mtty and it failed also..at task 29 command or task 28 55aa says this:Cmd>set 14 0
crc=0xD2C8DA7F.
HTCST ÚÈÒHTCE
Cmd>task 28 55aa
Format start
Fill RSVD information for block 497 to 530
TAG NOT FOUND !!! NOT CLEAR STORAGE !!!
Format end
Cmd>task 29
Format BINFS start
Fill RSVD information for block 497 to 530
CE start start block=530, total block=3566
TAG NOT FOUND !!! NOT CLEAR STORAGE !!!
Format BINFS end
Cmd>
so i do not know what to do...
in the mtty thread, post 1, it says to ignore those error messages, , they are normal. MTTY (and task29) doesnt touch teh area of NAND where the radio is located anyway.
You seem to have what is sometimes referred to as a stuck radio, which doesnt work and wont flash.
Sorry, there is no actual fix for this, and the consensus seems to be that it is corrupt / bad NAND blocks.
The only solution which occasionally seems to work (but only in some cases) is cooling the phone as mentioned above.
Prepare your CORRECT stock rom on an sd card, phone into a bag in the fridge/freezer for long enough for it to be cold, then quickly sd card in, into bootloader, start it flashing, hope it takes. Ive seen people say it took on the 5th/10th/20th attempt, but for many it never takes.
ok thx...ill try the cooling method....regarding the mtty post...i've read it too...but there wrote to ignore errors...in my case says tag not found!not clear storage....like some kind of memory error...

About fixing a i told visit that thread because we are trying to find a solution about it... in my case i think it worked... my hd2 had same problem always filed at 8% - 9%, i tried fridge method everything went ok BUT phone didnt boot up it - stock at htc ... i installed android it booted but if i watch a movie or played games it will freeze and restart... then i installed wp7 same as android... many times it had fatal hit and wont boot until it cooled down, but now im able to watch a video @480p 3 times - length 80 min. im unable to flash stock rom because my volume buttons and keypad buttons dont work.

Hey guys, I got one TMOUS HD2 which boots randomly and won't flash any radio.
I tried everything ...HD2 toolkit, mtty , stock rom etc...nothing.
Last put the darn thing in the freezer for 30 minutes (cannot tell the temp )
And yeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssss
IT WORKS!

Hello Android user
First off all, sorry to bother you with this problem but I already used Google and the searchengine but I wasn't able to find a solution.
I have the HTC hd2 nand flashed with the newest maglrd version. (I am completely new in this scene)
I had Android 2.3.4 installed when I bought this phone but I wished to have an Android with HTC sense so I downloaded an nand Rom for hd2 but it was no use, I got always those screen freezes (boot loops) , till I took an autoinstaller from dark force team and know I am still messing up with a bad moddet 2.2 rom, could someone write an step by step tutorial for me?
I want to get 2.3.4 again (in the best case with sense)
I found a lot of other tuts but I can't understand the meaning of the steps because I am an noob, a tutorial for dummy would be great, I would really appreciate it !
Thanks a lot for reading my thread.
-Zakkusu
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
you must repartition your nand according to the needs of the rom.at first page of android nand thread there is hd2 nand tool kit dowload it. connect your phone to pc-in mgldr menu choose usb flasher-see usb flasher....usb-in toolkit choose appropriate partition sizes then click repartition. in addition if you are an eu hd2 user you should have sd-ext partition for sense roms.ifyou stuck ask again
Thanks Pal, I will try it !
Sounds pretty easy, I will contact you, if I stuck on my effort, but thanks for the
hint
Awesome !

Yeah AOSP roms (CM7, etc) use much smaller partitions than Sense roms. For example with a TMOUS HD2 a AOSP rom like Typhoon uses roughly 130mb system partion wheras a Sense rom use 390-400mb partition. If you do not change this and try to flash a Sense rom then you are essentially running out of space before the rom can be fully installed, ergo the bootloop.
Like the previous poster said, check the first page of each rom you download as they usually tell you what size partition to use. Some will even have a daf.exe file for you to flash the appropriate partion & recovery.
Good luck
Hay guys, thanks for your adives but it was no use, I still get those damn loops,
could anyone give me his instant messanger adress, so he could guide me through the installation.
I am pretty dessperate
In your opening post you say "screen freezes(bootloops)"
Which is it? Freezing or looping? Cos they're two different things.
Looping is often associated with power problems such as a bent battery pin, whilst freezing could be not clearing the data/cache/sdext partition, or overheating, (amongst various others)
Important Notice: If you were given a direct link to this post, edit step #8 and choose a ROM you prefer from the NAND sub-forum and edit step #11 and enter the values you get from the ROM's thread/OP.
HD2 Android NAND for dummies:
1-This tutorial assumes that you have HSPL already installed, your device is connected to your pc and you have the latest drivers, please carry on.
1a- Fully Charge your phone (use external charger, or manage yourself!)
2- Go to ksubedi's Thread and download his HD2 NAND Toolkit (thanks ksubedi!)
3- After Installing it, Power Off your device (HD2) and power on into bootloader mode (Power on while Holding Volume down)
4- After seeing ("Serial" changed to "USB") on your phone, run the toolkit with Administrator rights (default).
5-(Optional) From bottom right corner choose "Wipe (Task29)", go through the steps and when your device reboots go into bootloader again (Volume Down and Power On).
6- Choose from bottom right corner "Install MAGLDR", go through the process and when your phone restarts hold the power button (not the volume!)
7- MAGLDR Screen will appear, Go down (using volume rockers) to Option 5. USB Flasher and wait for it to say "wait USB".
8- Go to Tyween's Thread and download his ROM (Thanks tyween)
**8- Typhoon is a CM7 build not sense (Sense takes more NAND Space and can be somewhat laggy and slow )
9-After Downloading the MAG Build, put the ZIP file on your sd card and put it into your phone.
10- On the toolkit, from the top panel choose "MAGLDR Repartition" and from the left panel choose 150mb system partition and from the bottom set the cache size to 5mb then click on repartition and go through it.
11- Reboot your phone into MAGLDR screen (by holding the Power on button)
11-a (Optional) if you think you may need extra storage for your apps/games, create an ext3 or ext4 partition on your sdcard using Easeus Partition Manager on your PC.
12- Go to Option 8.Android Recovery (Using volume rockers) and hit the Green Button (Dial Button) to go to recovery.
13- A Black screen with orange/blue text will show up (This is recovery) go to "Install Zip from sd card" And then choose the second option then choose your recently downloaded ROM and hit green button, now look at step 13a before confirming, then hit yes.
13a- If you chose to create an ext partition on your sdcard in step 11-a, don't forget to either a-select NAND with DataOnExt when installing the ROM. (If supported by ROM) or b-flash an a2sd script after flashing the ROM immediately.
14-a Now it will begin the flashing process, just wait for it.
14-b when it finish, simply choose "Reboot system now" and let the device boot into Android.
14-c After the device has booted, dont touch your phone but let it initialize for at least 3 minutes before using it.
Is this what you asked for?
Please read the following F.A.Q before sending me any PMs or making a post!
F.A.Q:
Q: What do you mean by drivers in step #1?
A: Read this short post.
Q: In step #1, you say "HSPL". What is that? And how do I install it?
A: Read this.
Q: In step #7 my device never says "wait USB"?
A: Sometimes, it may be connected without "wait USB" appearing. You can try to continue without waiting for it. But if the flashing fails, you need to check your steps.
Q: I cannot find the MAG build for the ROM I want?
A: Recently, they have been combining both cLK and MAGLDR into one zip. If the developer doesn't mention cLK or MAGLDR, it's a universal zip so download it and install it.
Q: When installing the ROM, I was asked to use "PPP or RMNET". Which one do I choose?
A: Choose RMNET. (You can choose PPP, but it drops sometimes).
Q: I did all the steps but I am stuck in a bootloop, what do I do?
A: It could be anything, but mostly bad blocks. Increase the system partition by ~20MB.
Q: The ROM I want to use says "SD-EXT" or "EXT partition" is required. What does that mean?
A: It means step 11a is mandatory for you.
Thanks a lot Marvlesz, you really made my day haha

I'm really glad that I helped you, and there are "simple, easy" tutorials floating everywhere, I dont think another one is essential
too big partition possible? Problems with Pyramid.
RAFdroid works perfect on my HD2 EU. Nand partition is 400.
When I try to install one of the available Pyramid ROMS, they all keep repeating the white/green "quietly brilliant" screen (One time I let it for 2 hours, but no effect). Is this because I did not change the NAND partition? It's bigger than needed. In recovery I allways do factory reset and whipe Dalvik cache.
change your nand partition.because it is much more bigger than the rom wants and this may cause problem.
Changing the NAND partition was the solution. Why do they use such a small partition in NAND, and such a big one on SD. Is the remaining NAND still in use for something?
Could some one of you recommond a android rom with 2.3.x with htc sense
like an htc desire hd rom!

2-do you have sd-ext partition in sd card
3-have you made 5-160-5 nand partition
4-have you downloaded the right file(mgldr-clk)
Can you explain this "2-do you have sd-ext partition in sd card" to me?

the rom you have chosen doesnt boot without an sd-ext partition.this procedure will erase your sd.so make a backup to pc.this can be done at pc but i try to teach doing it at mgldr.in mgldr menu go to:ad recovery-advanced-partition sd card-2048m(since this rom is big i recommend this)-then 0 as swap(i use 128m to support ram but you shuld know that swap may harm your sd). now put your backup to sd:in mgldr ad recovery-mounts and storage-mount usb storage now your pc will see your sd.
Thanks a lot !
Could you be so kind and write the tutorial just like Marvlesz ?
(You can almost copy the biggest part from him)
It would help me a lot !
EDIT:
Here I go, I finally made it, to understand the how to's,
My Tutorial is for this ROM >>KLICK<< (Thanks Langthang)
(a big part is from Marvlesz, thanks Bro )
1-This tutorial assumes that you have HSPL already installed, your device is connected to your pc and you have the latest drivers, please carry on.
1a- Fully Charge your phone (use external charger, or manage yourself ! )
2-Go to ksubedi's Thread and download his HD2 NAND Toolkit (thanks ksubedi!)
3- After Installing it, Power Off your device (HD2) and power on into bootloader mode (Power on while Holding Volume down)
4- After seeing ("Serial" changed to "USB") on your phone, run the toolkit with Administrator rights (default).
5- From bottom right corner choose "Wipe (Task29)", go through the steps and when your device reboots go into bootloader again (Volume Down and Power On).
6- Choose from bottom right corner "Install MAGLDR", go through the process and when your phone restarts hold the power menu (not the volume !)
7- MAGLDR Screen will appear, Go down (using volume rockers) to Option 4. USB Flasher and wait for it to say "wait USB".
8- Download the Recovery Mode Link download newest Recovery 3.0.2.4: (thanks seadersn)
http://www.mediafire.com/?f81pamq6fbjmtw5
9- Extract the folder and open "flash" (open it with notepad)

Hi, after reading for a long time, finally, this morning I've decided to uninstall wm 6.5 from my htc hd2, replacing it for Icecream Sandwiche.
At this moment I'm in the middle of the way and I can't continue. When I turn on the pda, appears the Magdlr v1.13 menu. Now I should select option 8. Ad Recovery to select the zip, in the sd card, with the rom, but it fails, this message appears: "no boot sources". Can anyone tell me what I have to do, thanks very much.
The step I've followed to arrive here are:
- execute hspl4_run.exe
- execute radio 2.15.50.14
- execute magldr 1.1.3
You didn't flash cwm recovery yet

You haven't listed 'flash CWM' as one of the things you've done. If you haven't flashed CWM, there is no AD Recovery to be booted into, hence the message 'no boot sources'. Just follow this guide, it makes everything simple and straightforward. You can start by flashing the correct CWM partition size. Also try out the HD2 NAND Toolkit in order to make things even easier. Once you've installed CWM with the right partition size, you just install the zip from your SD card.
I'll try just now, Thanks
Hi,
I've made a mistake in my original post. I've forgot to tell one step, the Clockwordmod. In this folder there is a daf.exe that I executed, but it seems to be not ok
Now I've downloaded the 3 files of the guide and I've executed the last one. I've turned on the pda, it seems to be ok but there is only an animated screen saver and I can't do anything more.
Thanks.

Yeah it takes up to 10 minutes for the first boot. The bootanimation will eventually go away, and then on subsequent reboots it will be fairly fast, around a minute or so
But I'm still with the bootanimation. Should I begin all the steps again?
Thanks
Nah just pull the battery and try again. Have you checked that you used the correct partition size for your desired ROM? If you really can't tell, link me to the ROM thread and I'll tell you which size you should be using. Be aware that your battery can't charge whilst the phone is off, so don't keep it on for too long loading the bootanimation. I'd say after a full 20 minutes has passed, the ROM definitely isn't booting and you have to either pull the battery and reboot or you've done something incorrectly along the way.
Hi,
I've used Recovery_400M_system_4M_cache_v3.0.2.4, and then I rebooted.
Thanks

In that case your partition size certainly isn't too small, but it's definitely a waste of space. On NexusHD2, a 165Mb partition is required. Every mb over that is simply being wasted, so if you flashed NexusHD2 you'd have wasted 235Mb of internal storage, which is quite a lot. Although this won't help your issue, I'd recommend flashing a smaller partition as per the OP of the ROM you wish to use. To change the size which is flashed, open the folder of the downloaded recovery and navigate to the file 'flash.cfg' (not flash.cfg.txt) and open it with notepad (which it does automatically with Windows 7). Change the value of the system partition from 400 to 165 (or whatever size is recommended) and save the file. From here just boot into USB Flasher in MAGLDR and flash the new partition.
Thanks, thanks, thanks a lot. Is the first time I can't do this and I feel happy. I see the problem was the partition too big.
I've configurated just all, also my own language. Now I'm going to navigate through Icecream.

Yeah, ICS is a great OS, and it's a vast improvement over GB, let alone Windows. WinMo was absolutely ghastly
