I had the stock MK2 with cf auto root and just updated to stock NAE found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663619
and did (lates version of) cf auto root with odin and everything when smooth, working properly and kept all my data too. Until I tried doing app updates.
From the play store I updated some apps but they started to force close repeatedly so not sure of what to do I re flashed to stock NAE and did the app updates I wanted THEN did the cf auto root and back to normal.
Having the free titanium backup app I decided to buy the Pro version and the whole forced close app issue happened again.
Wondering if anyone else is having this issue and if there is a way to fix this so I don't have to keep going through the process of flashing to stock NAE to do app updates then root again.
PS: this website is great! :good: Been so helpful and it came time to be part of it.
BUMP
I am having a similar problem as well. All my apps worked until the started to update through play store. So far I am having issue with FB, IG, Slice, and Glide. They either wont open at all or they constantly force close. Have you found a solution yet?
fixed

ok so after a weekend of trial and error I narrowed it down to the hotspot mod causing the problem. I had reflashed and factory reset and then root and MANUAL hotspot mod with sManager explorer that would force close once before letting me rename the service files but worked after second attempts but would force close any updated apps after the mod. To fix it I deleted the service files for hotspot mod and replaced them with the original ones I had renamed.
The trick to getting it to work is installing philz recovery and flashing the hotspot zip from there. now I have hotspot and no issues with force closed apps.
hope this helps others that stumble on this issue

If you have the hotspot mod and did it manually by renaming the files and placing the new ones try flashing it instead of a manual overide, hope it helps good luck.:good:

Having similar problems how do I fix
Hello! I am on pure Kitkat 4.4.2 with franco.kernel and have installed some mods via Xposed Installer. Problem is that my Youtube app doesnt work. Everytime I try to start Youtube app, it gives me an error "Unfortunately, Youtube has stopped". This is exactly the same problem I am facing in my Nexus 5 with the same ver of Kitkat and Franco Kernel and mods. I have tried uninstalling Youtube via Titanium Backup and reinstalling a fresh copy from Play but the problem is still there.
Now is this a problem with the Kernel or have I messed up something else. Please help.

I read on the Franco N5 forum the issue you are describing can occur is you use the Xposed YouTube add blocker module. It has something to do with a YouTube update and the module being incompatible. If you use that module turn it off reboot and try YouTube again.

I have been having issues with "Context Service has stopped" force closes since rerooting my S5 on NCG and flashing to NE9 the other day. I have kept thinking I have found fix after fix, and finally last night I rebooted my phone a good 30 times in the process of figuring out what Xposed module was causing my problem, and I finally definitively found it: too many modules. If I download more than 7 Xposed modules, my phone automatically begins to get the Context Service FC as soon as the phone boots and after every call I make or receive. I am now using Greenify, the app that I thought was the root of the problem, without issue. I had Xposed Torch installed last night and it was working fine after several reboots. Then I tried to install another module, Xtoast, I had already tested to not be my issue. Sure enough, the addition of that eighth module, XToast, caused the Force close issue on reboot and it stayed on subsequent reboots. Uninstalled Xposed Torch and the issue is gone. Why would there be a 7 module limit to what I can install on Xposed without it giving me that error and is there anything I can do to fix it so I can load up the rest of the modules I typically run?
Interesting. I have nine modules going on my S4 w/ no problems.

OOPS ... I thought I was in the S5 forum ...
I think his point was that he is able to run 9 modules without trouble..... and just for the record, I'm running 10 on my s5 (verizon) without issue.... Try uninstalling exposed and then reinstall using wanam in the Playstore (most of your modules will still be on your phone when you reinstall exposed)... Goodluck

So, with Snapchat not working with anyone with a rooted device is there a workaround? Or do we have to wait until there is a work around? i've tried Xposed and some frameworks but that doesn't work either.
I only updated my phone today and haven't had an issue with Snapchat and root so I have no idea how long it's been going on for. Been looking across the internet and can't really come across anything solid so far, so apologies for another thread on the subject.
Sorry if this is the wrong area too.
Only solution I've found is us use the SuperSU app to uproot, then log in to SnapChat, then reroot.
If I unroot will that reset my phone or anything?
Once you do manage to log in, make a TB backup so you can restore the log-in in the future without having to unroot.
i can't log into Snapchat at all

snapchat and root are no problem the problem is that snapchat check if xposed is installed or not that's why it won't log in...snapchat don't work if xposed is installed...
uninstall xposed through twrp and log to snapchat after that re-install xposed twrp
- tapatalked - from my VANTABLACK S7 EDGE

I don't have Xpsoed installed at all, that's what i'm confused about .
You can login snapchat, but you have to install systemless supersu + systemless xposed +suhide + magisk7
I can get pass safetynet check (checked today)
What I ended up doing, which works, is I wiped my phone on TWRP, reinstalled my firmware (superman) chose not to install root/Xposed, downloaded/signed into Snapchat, then rooted my phone. Long winded but it works.
Backup your snapchat data from a unrooted phone. I used titanium and restore on rooted
Just use Casper instead of original snapchat app.

You are unable to sign into Snapchat if you have the Xposed Framework enabled or Rooted.
(Rooted has never been a issue with me)
But Xposed framework is normally the cause, Even if you used Xposed or not, If the framework is present you cannot Login.
Simple Open up Xposed App (If you installed Via Superman you have have enabled to option and installed it)
From there you have a option to uninstall.
Reboot and once booted back up, login. Once logged in use Titanium Backup to backup the App plus Data.
Reinstall Xposed Framework and you should still be logged into Snapchat.
If you ever have any issues, Delete the app and restore from your backup, you have no need to uninstall Xposed as the Data is restored from the app keeping you logged into the app

I have heard that just using suhide is enough to pass Snapchats new Root detection.
I have not tested as am still running the old version with Snaprefs

I hadnt had any problems whit SC and root untill 2 days ago either, easy fix is to unroot through the SU app, log into snap, and reflash superSU from TWRP.. worked for me

Hello,
I've got a question about snapchat.
I'm sorry if im posting this in the wrong place, im new here!
I want to use snapchat 9.3.1.0 so i can use snapprefs.
I'm rooted and have xposed framework installed.
I am currently logged in in the newest snapchat version.
I made a backup of my snapchat with TB, deleted the new version of snapchat, installed snapchat 9.3.1.0, opened titanium backup and restored 'DATA ONLY'.
When i open snapchat, the app says: There are no snaps, and it says i've got no friends (which makes me sad). Any idea how i can fix this?
Thank you!
Lorenzo
It seems they recently changed things in an update. I have a rooted device with exposed, running superman rom. I used to just turn the switch off inside xposed, restart, login to snapchat, turn xposed back on and it was fine as long as I didn't log out. Now, none of that works.
My solution was to go to recovery, dirty flash my rom without root or xposed, login to snapchat, and go back and dirty flash again with root and xposed.
Way too much effort for snapchat, but it worked!

I installed Xposed. Now whenever I use the official Facebook app, it works for 10 seconds then closes giving "Facebook keeps stopping". I tried disabling Xposed but it still happens. I tried clearing the cache using TWRP but still same problem. Any solutions? It seems that everything else is working fine and Facebook was fine before Xposed.

Even with xposed disabled it still happens (though I haven't tried UNINSTALLING xposed though that would defeat the purpose...I hope you can see)

I understand the problem, and I've given you the most likely solution. You'll probably get a better answer by posting your problem in the Xposed thread.
