HI everyone
I am using a i9505 imperium rom
Recently i tried to make multiple phone calls and when in the call i haven't been able to hear the person on the other end and they cant hear me (This also happens when i receive a call)
however when my friend calls me over skype or viber on my phone the speaker and mic is working perfectly fine and we can talk?Does anybody know what could be a problem hw or sw?Tnx in advance

have you been able to fix your problem i have a the same problem.
Sometime it works and mostly it doesnt

Seem problems of the ROM. Flash other custom ROM or flash STOCK one.

The problem is with "Phone" app
You need to replace it or factory reset or flashing a system folder

I have already Flash 2 different rom in each case factory reset wipe dalvink memory etc and no luck, if I call for example on hangouts I have no problems.
I will try deleting the phone app

I got a strange problem..
If someone calls me , we both can hear..(2 way communication )
But when I call someone they are not able to hear me..my mic is not working..I can hear them..(one way communication ) ..that is not mic problem..something with software..
I found a stupid solution to this.. If I press mute 2 times ,I can speak and and they can hear me,,
Anyone got the same problem with 2.5 or 2.6 version? any solutions?
I am fed up of pressing MUTE always

Have you tried to disable "Audible touch tones"? Before making a call that is.

yes i have disabled it..
Are you using clockwork recovery for installing? If so wipe everything and reinstall

im not using clockrecovery...but i have re installed it many times..
I used MIUI ROM with clockworkmode...I am getting this mute issue after 4 days ..It was working fine inititally..

I have a problems with the Droid pro muting incoming calls. The received calls are not all muted but lots of the. I changed a lot of ROMS but the problem is the same in all of them. Does any one have the same problem?

a friend if mine has a similar problem in Romania
but with out going calls...
I wanted to change her ROM, but according to you it doesnt help?!

No. Every rom had tried there is the same problem. If you find something let me know. I found this treat but dont know how to change this:

Everything is working fine. I can make call with the phone. I just get muted incoming calls.
I have been using my Nexus 4 for about a month already. Just yesterday i was unable to hear anything on a call. When I call someone, they person on the other end can hear me but i cant seem to hear anything. But if i were to put it on loudspeaker it works fine.
I tried a factory reset, it worked for awhile but then it later on stopped and it doesnt work for other voice call apps such as skype. Any ideas?
If a factory reset temporarily fixed it, you could try flashing the stock images. Follow efrant's guide that is stickied in general.

hmm i just realized i cant play anything on my speaker ie songs and notifications. But i am able to hear calls on loudspeaker and get ringtones on calls. Any ideas anyone?

I flashed a custom ROM it didn't work and later on flashed back the stock image and everything was working fine.. Able to hear calls and listen to music on the speaker. This was working fine for like 3 days. Now its back to square one can't hear calls on earpiece and music and so on on the speaker. But ringtones are playing well and calls can only be heard on loudspeaker's. Anybody able to help ?? Kind of being a pain ?

Did you install any sound mods? I had a similar-but not exactly the same problem that caused by installing Xloud + Clear Audio mod. Complete wipe and flashing stock ROM fixed it.
Nope never installed any sound mods.. But I realized just prior to it being problematic for the second time the Google voice search app always popped up for no apparent reason

Simply thank you for this gift. I have on issue with Viber app that I like to share:

Clean installed with TWRP with phone setup as new.
1. When I call someone through viber app and or receive a call through viber, speaker phone is always on and I cannot turn it off. Has anyone else have this issue and resolved it or is it some settings that I may have mistakenly ticked off?
See the attached screen shot of the viber call and you will notice that the speaker icon it greyed out and it is always greyed out. I cannot turn it off as it is greyed out.
Please help????

Hello, hannah187. I had the same issue. Just reinstall Viber and the problem will be gone. I just don't know for how long.
I'm a bit worried because I've never had such problem with the stock ROM. It's important to keep this topic alive until we have a real fix.

First of all, my issue is fixed now but strange fact is I did not reinstall viber. It's just fixed now. I understand that code does not lie so perhaps I have changed some settings which may have fixed it but honestly I do not know.
I know that when I did a clean install of this ROM, viber was working correctly and I have checked it. After couple of days, I can no longer make viber call through ear piece. I only can use speaker phone.
I do not think I have changed any settings, but viber now seems to work as expected and I can make viber phone calls normally as well as through speaker phone. I do not know how this has happened.
Well it seems that I have spoken too soon. From last night, viber speaker phone icon is again greyed out, in other words, I can only make the Viber phone calls through the speaker phone and no ways to disable it. Back to square one.

I have similar issue with the latest version of viber at my samsung galaxy s4 i9505 android 5.0.1
When i receive or make a call with phone NOT viber the speaker turns on itself until i press the speaker two times so i hear the call not from the speaker.
I understand that it was viber fault because when i completely uninstall the viber never had this issue again.
So is there any solution so we can have viber installed without that kind of issues?

i have a problem in my note 3 international when i dial any number i don't hear the ring and when the other guy answer i
can't hear his voice and he can't also hear mine and when i turn on loudspeaker i hear him and still my voice is not going sometimes
when i make restart or change network type from 4g to 3g it works for sometime and again stop .
i make search and i find that this common problem many people change their board .
i deleted my mobile and flash a stock rom same thing happen .
my question is anyone can help me , if not how i know that this a hardware problem to guarantee it will not happen again.

I erase my phone completely and installed stock and custom and it did not solve my problem.
I find a fix for the problem using app called soundabout it can make the voice calling always use earpiece speaker but I have to keep it running in background I am trying to find what this app is doing to the system . If anyone can help in this is will appreciate.
