Hi, I suspected that there might a hardware problem with my Acer A500 and unfortunately it is out of warranty I was wondering if it possible to have a screen replacement? Or which part of the hardware should I inspect to see anything wrong?
If you have any advice or recommendation please let me know! If it possible to fix it I would rather do that than buying a new one as I am pretty low in budget.
Thanks!!!!!:good:

Hello, guys
I ordered a 2nd hand HD2 and it's gonna arrive any time now. Could you guys tell me how to diagnose the phone to know that it's still in good condition with no errors? Thanks.
Switch it on and use it?

It will without a doubt come after being hard reset, so the OS will be running as new when you recieve it.
I am guessing the OP is referring to the hardware subsystems like the camera etc.
the best way is to go through one by one and check for correct functionality.
thanks for all of the advice, guys. yes, i'll check the functions like camera, wifi, gps, etc. but beside that, what are the quirks or bugs that only happen to some people? i read about overly sensitive screen, sms sent wrongly, etc.

There are an absolute plethora of dodgy problems people seem to have with the HD2, just turn it on and give it a go for a couple of days. If you aren't happy with the phone as it comes do a bit of research and look at installing a custom ROM.
and don't forget that even if it's 2nd hand, you still get the remaining warranty period, so as long as the seller provided you with a valid proof of purchase you can send it back for servicing in case something's definitely wrong with it.
Just found this while looking for a replacement for my touch screen on my Vogue. I've replaced my digitizer before but I've never replaced the whole case. Has anyone done this? Looks like a way to really make my Vogue new again. I might just buy it and try it out. Its $20 so no huge loss, eh? BTW, I'm in no way affiliated with the ebay seller. Just found it after a brief search.

If you decide to go that route the Elf Service Manual might be of some help.

That's good to know that exists. I've taken my Vogue apart several times before to the replace just the digitizer but never gone past that which I'll need to do in order to replace everything. The idea of a brand new feeling phone sure seems nice. And this time I'm putting on a screen protector.
Hi guys!
Something happened to my HD2 T-Mobile US and now nothing that requires the touchscreen works. Is there anything to do about it? If I need to replace the touchscreen, how much would that cost? Thanks.

You could try a hard reset or reflashing it but I doubt these would work.
Your best bet is probably to return it to stock and try for a warranty claim if possible.

I bought my my second HD2 on CL with a dead touchscreen basically it was new but the screen wouldn't respond, I tried everything thats been thought of nothing work! call HTC and the same day they got it, FedEx sent me a tracking number showing me it was on the truck on it's way back...
I have a AT&T Samsung S4 (i337) in which the screen has stopped working after being dropped. I have taken it apart and have tried ordering a replacement online. But I have gone through two screens I have ordered online and both as well have not worked right, in this case the touch digitizer. I am wondering if anyone here knows a good place to get replacement screens that are likely to work?
Maybe it's not the screens that aren't working. Maybe you're connecting them wrong or damaged a part when replacing the screens. I think you should let a professional do it. Or at least somebody who has done it before

I doubt that, I have fixed multiple phones, and other electronics devices, before and I know it is connected right.
