jumbled screen
i had the same issue whenever i press the wake up button, but it last for only 2 seconds or less.
but another very wierd this is happening, the whole home screen starts sliding up like the time in uper right corner starts to appear in the bottom, but when i touch the screen all gets fine. please some one help me out

You have a "garbled screen" - this is a hardware related problem with the LCD or a software problem (hope so )
The SDS is a externalSD memory write problem where the note 2 got this fixed via a update. So this is not a problem on the S5 - at lease I think so.
Forget about what I was researching below.
Upon searching about previous threads (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/problem-white-screen-black-lines-rain-t2467459) , it seems to be a sign of the complete eMMC failure a.k.a SDS. So this is hardware based.
On the note 2 the insane chip is a:

Most 1st gen note 2's have this problem and so does a variety of other Samsung galaxy devices. I found these with just a quick Google search.
A even more common list of devices
1. s2
2. s3 -i9300
3. s3 - i9305
4. Note - N7000
5. Note 2 - N7100
6. Note 2 - N7105

Assuming you still have warranty (because it's been less than the stated time period of the warranty), send it back. If it is knox, send them information about the EU regulations - but they wouldn't care less since this is hardware based. According to other threads (http://developer.samsung.com/forum/board/thread/view.do?boardName=General&messageId=241496) they replace the main board of the phone (since it contains the eMMC chip) and by doing so they have technically replaced that knox fuse (if I'm correct )

[Q] digitizer problems! PLEASE PASS

hey there!
some days ago, I had new problems with my digitizer.
began 4 months ago, when I have replaced the broken digitizer with a new one bought on ebay, and so i had some issues with its sensivity. at first i had a problem on the bottom. I couldn't scroll up the pull-down menu of the status bar or scroll through the bar of the music player (red).
recently the sensitivity of the touchscreen is worsened and when I adjusted the smearings inside the digitizer, the situation got even worse, and now I am unable to use the keyboard on the "zxcvbnm(del)" row in portrait mode and I can't open new page of the browser in landscape mode (yellow).

right now my screen is literally gone mad! it automatically picks up touches on each side of the screen and I can't no longer use it. I must do a lock/unlock of the screen to get it out of this loop and so here's that it happens again in half a minute!
What could I do to fix my digitizer? I should be grateful if I might avoid to purchasing a new digitizer one more time, I wasted so much money on my phone that I would have been able to buy a new one!
PS. I'm sure that someone will say that it's only my fault if I have the phone in these conditions. not for really. I had great care to replace the digitizer on the phone and vice versa, so I would like a bit of professionalism to take my issue in a certain way and not that you always criticize the user, fool or not to be. I will consider any advice aside the usual criticisms.
I ask forgiveness for my clarification perhaps a little cheeky, but I felt compelled to say these things because I have experienced similar cases, and I wouldn't to happen again for better mine and yours, and thank you again for your unfailing support and sorry for my bad english I believe that you may solve the problem
Dear
I am also faced such difficulties. You can find my thread regarding "touchscreen malfunction" . But now the problem almost solved. Previously i was used froyo kernel based wiui. Then i change kernel to gb and flashed wiui for gb kernel. Its all before 3 weeks. I cant see the problem Till today. So just try it. My digitalizer was original and not replaced yet. I think the touch sensitivity of froyo kernel is more atleast in my case

S4 mini (any version) Lollipop issues

Seeing that there are a lot of posts in L topics that mention the same problem, and only 'pollute' topics with useless stuff I thought about making this thread.
This is UNOFFICIAL and I just want to make it 'easier' to fix problems some users are reporting, well least try to put all 'useful' tips into one topic.
All I'm expecting is:
-Post your model i919(0/2/5/7)
-Baseband version (don't forget region)
-kernel
-Lollipop ROM you are using
-list issues you have
-list any fix that has not been posted in this thread before that might help fix some common problems (for example losing audio in call)
-any additional stuff that might be relevant
For lurkers: If a fix helped you, hit thanks, if not - post your solution or wait until a fix
I'm going to start:
-i9195
-I9195XXUCNJ6, europe
-3.4.0-aosp-gdae987b (included in CM12)
-cm-12-20141211-UNOFFICIAL-serranoltexx.zip
-in call my mic stops working (but mostly with pre3 kernel, going to see if it works better with kernel included in cm12)
-did full wipe today, installed clean cm-12-20141208 and upgraded a few hours later to cm-12-20141211
Wrong post. nevermind.
WiFi has lately started going to sleep when the phone is being left idle for 20-30 mins even though I have set it to always stay on. This issue made me get away from CM11 and it's very frustrating to encounter it now here as well. The issue came along with the build before the 11-12-2014 one.

Lollipop lockscreen font corruption

I have started to get corruption of the alphabetic characters on my 'secured by pin' lock screen, not immediately but after days of use. I'm using i9505 with stock lollipop .
Is this a samsung or google issue, or just a symptom of the more widespread memory leaks and overwrites lollipop suffers from?

In my S4 (i9505) this don't occur but in my boss S4 this occur.
Somebody find a fix for this?
Or at least know what is causing this.
me too - experience today on my S4 LP. Device had not been rebooted for ages, reboot sorted it but will keep an eye on it.
Anyone else seen it or any ideas ?

It gets even worse if you don't reboot. On my Galaxy S5, all of my lock screen notifications and the notification bar are now corrupted. I've tried changing fonts, but I can't come up with a solution other than a reboot. It's probably a Samsung memory leak.
I have had the same issue with my S5 since upgrading to Lollipop. I have watched the corruption slowly take over my lock screen - the more I need to enter my lock screen password the quicker the rate of font corruption. This will happen every 2-3 weeks and can only be "fixed" by rebooting. Changing the font did nothing to fix this.
Same problem here, Galaxy S5 in US (Verizon Wireless).
Phone is encrypted if it matters.
Having the same issues... So annoying.
If you look closely at the screen shot, the fonts aren't corrupt, they are just being occluded by those rectangular shapes (you can see the proper drop shadows for the characters underneath). It's almost like a clipping our bounding box error or something.
Bump!
Anyone has a solution except reboot?

Thank you for that but it is hard to read and much scroll on mobile devices."lol"
p.s. WARNING NOTICE ;
Don't advice people for something you never done..If you reconnect battery... as I did on my previous P900, you should warn people to DISCONNECT microSD port as well, because on my previous tab there was power shock to microSD chip on its module board and you can never use again microSD.
So, due that fact, you must warn people to disconnect microSD board due power shock when battery is reconnected to slot again because it is expensive device.
Thread closed - it is very difficult to recommend this to anyone. A collection of possible fixes or not does NOT constitute a solution.
Please use a more standardised and reader-friendly font colour and size in future.

Teardown Ticwatch C2?

Hi all,
does anyone now how to teardown the C2?
My C2 is now ~2,5 years old and looks like the battery isn't charging anymore (tested two chargers).
I only found information about E2, Pro etc. but I don't know how to open C2s case. There is no screw.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.
Maybe a small update...
It can be opened with a tools like shown in the picture.

Hello, thank you for case open advice! My C2 battery is dead, also. Thinking to replace it. Did you fixed your problem? Got a replacement? And interesting if after the assembly the case stays waterproof?
Hi,
I described the problem to mobvoi... Becasue the warranty had expired (1 month...) they had two suggestions:
- Send in for repair OR
- Get a voucher for a C2+
The repair would be too expensive and the discount too low to have the same watch again with the same bugs... After the experience with the support I bought a Galaxy Watch 4
I think it will not be waterproof anymore... Unless you manage to glue the lid and clock together again very accurately.

Wise choice! I have the Galaxy watch 4 as well. Here's it's forums if needed:
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes and the Watch 4 Classic in 42mm and 46mm sizes. They are powered by the Exynos W920, with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and with Wifi, Bluetooth, and NFC. Models with LTE are also available.
forum.xda-developers.com
Thanks for the hint... I already removed the restrictions to use all features with non-Samsung phones
