Hi,
Probably found a solution for the integration of x-reality in the absence of DRM key and unlocked bootloader.
Just replace the file in the /system/bin credmgrd
It's working on rom 4.4.4
Instruction: (thanks to @ Glückspilz)
after replacing the file, set the correct permissions and then reboot to recovery wipe cache and wipe dalwik reboot
RWX R-X R-X (755)
It t was known way before that you can have xreality on unlocked bl.

Ooooh this is interesting. Can someone report if it works? If it does I'm gonna re-unlock my bootloader again
It is the first mod that edit the file in system\bin credmgrd. Someone have some info about?

Nothing edited, this file comes from version rom 757 where x-reality works despite an unlocked bootloader and loss of drm

But in 757 the files are different so i think that can cause some problem in system. Maybe someone can test the .133 files? It is 4.4.I...n 133 x-reality work?
Compare file with 757 and 108, only the size is the same. 133 is the same as in 108.

I do not know why does not work for me working as it should
file credmgrd in 108 and 133 are the same
the one I posted from version 757 the size is the same but there are differences in the file
when they switched the x-reality began operating
I use version 108

why you think that is this file the problem of bravia engine?. is this file linked to drm?
Because when I use the version of rom 757 x-reality works, and when substituted with the proper does not work anymore

How do you install it. It soouunds so good, i downloaded the .zip file (the universal one) and i assume you cant just flash it?
This works great. Just wish it had a greyscale chart as per the screenies in the original thread. I am currently using 955, 937, 945. That will be subject to change untill I can see it in all different lighting positions though.
For installation you need the 2 files. The ZIP and the APK. Flash the ZIP through recovery, rebbot and then install the APK.

Yes, I am doing it the exact same way I have done 100's of times before..
And there ware about half a dozen files. I will do it again and this time just take the 4 biggest...
OK, this is embarrassing. I cannot make this FTF correctly. It is always around 500MB and wont flash. It gives the error
Code:
ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MINOR";ERR_CODE="0017";ERR_DYNAMIC=" 0x80060011 ";
I am doing it the exact same way I have done hundreds if not thousands of times before on the Xperia T, Neo and X10. I am using the same laptop as before (Lenovo think pad running win 7). the only thing that is different is that I am using the latest flashtool (0.9.11.0)
I get no errors when flashtool makes the FTF and I get no errors when PCCmpanion uses the files to "repair" my phone.
Here is what I am doing.
1) Running pccompanion and choosing software repair
2) Letting it complete
3) Running flashtool and clicking on tools/seus decrypt/
4) Browsing to where the files are downloaded in the blobs folder
5) Clicking on all the files that it finds to convert them, moving to them to the right pane and clicking convert
6) Letting it complete and then using all those files in the bundle creation.
Like I say, flashtool gives no errors.
If I am missing something basic, please let me know and you have my permission to laugh at me and add to a faceplam thread.
Its really bugging me now though.
Thanks
I got the Z1 today on Vodafone and received a notification of an update to 534 about 30mins ago

@sourabhp You change the sdk version not in androidmanifest.xml
Do this
Decompile the apk, then open the decompiled folder and then open apktool-yml with notepad ++ and then change the min sdk version to 16.
I cant do this cause I dont have 4.3 or 4.4 framework so getting errors while recompiling.
Please if someone is on 4.4+ do this.
