I broke the screeb on my sprint note 3, I mainly just want my pictures off of it, but the phone goes into a boot loop and won't actually turn on. I can't get it to show up on my computer either. Does anyone have an suggestions?

Nexus 7 was working fine and then I pulled it out and notices a gray screen. Restarted it and I get a slight blue shadow to the Google and Padlock boot screen. Then it begins to change crazy colors and ends up fading to a gray screen. Can't boot into recovery from fastboot. Help?
Here are some pictures in order of boot.

Wow, I haven't seen or heard of any defect like that in the N7 yet. I would exchange/RMA the device if I were you. It seems like an easily demonstrable problem, there shouldn't be any reason Google/a retailer wouldn't exchange it.

Even with the bootloader unlocked? Or do I need to somehow lock it?

It actually seems as if it is partially just a screen issue. I heard a notification of an email on the N7. I believe it has actually booted up, but the display is stuck. If I tap where the notification bar would be, I heard audio feedback.
UPDATE: I suspected something was loose in display connection because of the type of problem. I knocked pretty hard on the device, and the display kicked back in. Doesn't solve the problem of being unable to boot into recovery, but it seems like it could be a display problem. Suggestion still to just get a replacement? and relock bootloader?

My bad, I skimmed your post and didn't realize you could get into fastboot mode. Try turning off the N7, connecting it to a computer , and getting back to fastboot mode. You should be able to use adb to relock the boot loader. In fact, you should be able to boot into recovery from fastboot since the N7 is connected to a computer.
Good job trouble shooting the display connection! I would still personally recommend exchanging/RMA. You never know when the problem might reappear even if you "fix" it.

Take the back cover off and check the display ribbon cable, and all other connections are tight. They won't be able to tell that the back was removed, unless you ding it up. Might find a loose connection. May just save you the trouble of going through RMA.
I recently dropped my Note 3 (well, actually my wife accidentally knocked it out of my hand) and the screen (and perhaps the digitizer too) broke. When trying to boot it, the phone vibrates once like it is starting up, but then keeps vibrating every 10 seconds or so. I assume it's in some kind of a boot loop; will the phone not fully boot if it detects that the screen is broken? Any ideas on what I can do to boot it so I can wipe it remotely?
Help!

Hi Laura I can understand and feel your frustration but unfortunately your only option now it's to JTAG the phone to retrieve your data. Only a good phone shop can do it & it can be expensive.
So I messed up. I dropped my Nexus 6P and the screen shattered and the display won't turn on. The phone is still working however since it vibrates when i touch the display and stuff, I just can't see anything. I am now wondering if I can access my files somehow? I had usb debugging enabled until I went back to Anroid M from the N beta. I forgot to turn it on again after the reset. So is there anything I can do?

Maybe a little more info? What files? On the SD card you should still be able to connect it to your computer.

So my girlfriends s7 screen is completely black now. She has a password set on the phone and developer options are turned off. The guy at Verizon says they won't be able to get data off it. Smart switch says the device needs to be changed to MTP but I can't see what I am doing.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Is the LCD dead? Have you tried hard resetting it? I had one in for a repair that just needed a hard reset. Otherwise, as long as the information is important enough, get the LCD repaired and you will be set.
What happened prior to the screen not working? Do the back and menu backlit buttons light up? I had a S5 that did that a while back and turns out it just needed a charge. For some reason the charger had stopped working and I didn't know it. I know its a dumb question but have you tried that? Do any LEDs come on when the phone is charging?
Old phone died after 13 months, won't charge and turn on. Luckily got a replacement phone from essential. The new phone will turn on but stuck on logo. Was able to go into recovery mode to do a reset but got stuck too. Now the screen won't even turn on and won't go into recovery mode.

yes, for dead screen possibly digitiser or screen, try swap with old phones assuming you still have old one
edit: or maybe even just ribbon cable not connected properly or damaged
