Hi Guys,
I don't know if everybody noticed yet, but there is an option in TricksterMod to control the volume. You can boost volume up to 25%.(Or more i think)
I know there are a few soundmods out here, but even by installing them, volume is still low.
Even microphone/camera volume can be adjusted. Maybe good for calls, i have not been tested yet.
So, just want to let you guys know
We can boost sound level in Gravitybox, another alternative.

Thanks but what you mentioned are just step increments, for finer volume adjustedment but it doesn't increase volume

I have Franco Kernel installed, downloaded Kernel Tweaker from playstore(which is pretty much Trickster MoD). The sound tweaks will be in "Kernel" setting within "Kernel Tweaker" app.
Trickster helped in increasing my in-call volume issues. Thanks

In the Specific tab, there is a button called Sound Control where I upped all the volume levels a little bit and I must tell you that it has made a huge difference. Now I have to reduce my in-call volume since its too loud :laugh:

i'm just kidding, but i couldn't resist....
Yeah they need some type of way to lock it.
Theres an app called ring guard that reverts the ring tone volume when accidentally hit. It's pretty good because I used to hit out all the time.
If you don't like that then I suggest acquiring a case the protects the volume from being so easily pressed.

Riggs may be kidding but it's actually the truth. The volume keys are useful, why would you want them disabled? The best solution to your problem really is to just stop pressing them. I know the problem, I had my own issues with them... for about 2 days. Then I just stopped pressing them.
Don't downgrade your device, upgrade yourself

Thanks everyone for your replies, no I'm not holding it wrong but I am left handed and the volume rocker is always against my hand. When typing like I am right now I occasional hit the volume by accident. Also I have car holder and that always hits em as well, didn't have that problem with my evo so I was just asking a question. I appreciate the jokes because they are funny and I thank the only one of you all who actually gave me some good advice.

I use Volume locker - it still allows you to press the button, but does not change the setting until you confirm it on the screen. It seems to be the best solution sort of editing the text file on the phone that contains the button mappings.
Good luck
I use volume locker also by hourdb in the market...I can vouch that its a great app that does wonders...also comes with many fine tune settings to control many different scenarios depending on your needs.

I tried Dolby Digital on a different rom. I had trouble with Bluetooth working on that rom (LG Tone Pro HBS-750) and I don't have the problem on the Carbon Rom. So I am assuming it is this mod. But in all honesty, I want this mod. So is this mod in flashable form? I also want to add it to my carbon rom install and see if I still have the problem. I have read all the comments from this topic and I have searched for it too. Any help would be great.
can u please provide me with th emirror link of Sungsonic™ HD Anniversary Edition V-7 -SGS-TAB 2 7
Hi,
I was experimenting with with my poweramp equalizer and the dsp and noozxoide to get the ultimate sound, but I noticed that changes in dsp and noozy didn't had any effect. So I did a little research and found out that I had tot unpick Direct volume controll, but it was already unpicked. I also picked musiceffect but still nothing. I'm using uXylon and the latest version of poweramp. Any ideas?

Go into Poweramp > Equalizer Settings > Tone/Volume
Click the Musicfx thing now long click and select one. You cannot use DSP and the other at the same time, pick one. Also when ,messing with bass settings only mess with one, either PA or the DSP choice....

I uninstall dsp because it caused more distortion compared to nooz. I don't use poweramp's EQ and limit but I do use its Tone function to adjust the bass/ treble and stereo x. For noozy I findle with everything based on the song.

Since the latest version it is not possible to control PowerAMP by 3rd party EQ anymore.
Direct Control cancelation is useless, won't work.
Tried everything so my last option that the developer ceased support for it.

Sadly, yes mate.
Iv'e read on 4pda's official thread of PowerAMP that the developer did this to prevent 3rd party EQ's to control PAMP
Just rooted the phone today and DL'd TiBu and am looking for the process that causes the volume to decrease with that ridiculous 'Listening at full volume may cause your head to explode' stupid A warning so I can freeze the thing. Tired of constantly having to increase the volume to full when listening to music and then that stupid warning popping up. What is that process called so I can freeze its azz???

Well, that didn't work. The only thing it changes is no notification it's dropping the volume. It still IS dropping the volume about a third down. That is what I want to prevent, not necessarily the notification that it's doing it but the volume drop. Any ideas how to stop it from dropping the volume when I use Google Music, PowerAmp, Pandara, etc???

I use tasker for that. As soon as I plug headphones in I have it set to move volume to max. I've never found another way unfortunately.

That's one thing I miss about my old Razr Maxx, the Moto task manager that allowed me to change values during certain times of day or during certain actions. Does Tasker work pretty well doing that?? I'll charge my phone overnight at times and when it hits 100% it turns the screen on and it never goes off. And the volume is full blast at night and I'll get a task and I'll nearly jump out of my socks when it sounds.

Hi,
I just got my Nexus 6P. The volume of music is very loud, but of the phone-call speaker mode very weak despite me putting it at max volume while in call.
Is there a fix/ work-around?
Thank you!

Rooting and turning up overall decibals. Though it just sounds like garbage at that point. I have tried it. The speakers are just crappy IMO.
They are great for music, it's just that the phone speakers are extremely weak. Anyone? Help?

I own the phone dude. They are the same speakers. Root it and use a custom kernel to turn up the volume. Not sure what else you think can be done. There is not a separate speaker for only calls.....
I'm not interested in pumping out all my volumes, only phone speaker

Look in your: system/etc/mixer_paths.xml and change all the Digital Volume from 84 to 95 or whatever you want, save, exit and reboot. I haven't had to do this I've been on roms since the 1st hour I received my device. Never noticed the low volume but this is what I did on previous devices and worked fine. Hope that helps.

Since you would have to root to do that, it would be much easier to just install a kernel where you can move a slider to change it. The OP doesn't want all volumes up though. Just phone.
Anyone figure out which one controls just in call ear-speaker volume?
