Debloated, can't access radio menu. Any idea what I removed? - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Title kind of says it all. *#*#4646#*#* doesn't open a menu any more. Any idea what I restore to fix this?

It's *#*#4636#*#*, mind you.

Yes, sorry. I have tried both actually since one forum said 4646 and one 4636.

I don't know the numbers but I always remember it as *#*#info#*#*... What does it do when you put it in the dialer?
Edit... Mine actually does nothing at all... I have severely debloated and deodexed tho... Not sure what is was that we removed

I don't remember the #'s ever working with KitKat.

Probably because you aren't able to post in the developer section yet...
We have nothing to fear but running out of beer
You have to establish yourself here first before you are allowed to post anywhere other than General. I forget the exact number of posts needed but you simply need to post more

Im in the same boat. Can't wait to be able to post in the developers forum.

Nobody working on a 4.2 rom????

This place seem kinda dead
This is the dev sub-forum. Appropriate place for this would probably be Q&A...

Deadman96385 is working on a 4.2 port and I'm getting ready to help him test it out. Xda rule all questions belong in the q&a section for glacier, not in the dev section.

Why not have sticky posts inside a thread?

So i was wondering how to make people stop asking the same questions and reporting the same bugs again and again.
Why aren't there any sticky posts inside a thread so that people can directly refer to the solution rather than people asking again and again and the developers asking them again and again to use the search button?

Great idea but the problem is not the system but the people who use the system. Searching is not something most on xda want to do. Reading threads in a forum other than whats on the page in front of them is not what most want to do. I hear ya and like your idea but if we dont teach the people who try and take the easy route how to search its all for nothing
I get it but just because of those people why should everyone who are not like them should suffer. And it is a very basic thing to do... the implementation will hardly be difficult.

Most Devs have the first few posts set up with the needed info. You have to remember this forum is set up for developers not the average user. If they cant track down the info they need they should not be messing with something that could leave them with a brick.

The thing is that if everyone did it right the first time there would be no need for anything else like stickies within threads honestly

Nice to hear you're learning lots.
Just some friendly advice, please some time soon read the rules so you understand how and where to post and when to create threads, correct posting saves the moderators a lot of hard work and prevents you getting flamed.
Really you should have posted this in the general forum/general thread which is always welcoming apart from some grumpy old gits like me ....joking aside, if everyone plays their part the forum is much easier to use and find information on.
All the best....the moderators will probably lock this thread,, so read the rules and help them out

I am probably a 100 times worse a noob than you are. The only thing I have done on my S3 is to get root access via Odin. Is there anyway you could point me to some threads from where I can start?

Tammyjustin I would suggest you read the page Daniel linked for you after hitting "Thanks" on his post if you have not done so already. Once you have read that, you need to read everything you can find on here concerning your device and if you have a question, search and research. I know there are several entries that describe roms that have been tested for your device. Flashing roms is time consuming. You need to know everything you can about the rom before you flash. It sometimes sucks to have to read 50 or 60 pages of comments that have nothing to do with your rom/problem but you are not the only one doing it. Good luck and have fun.
I actually have waited a month and read up on the last 3 phones I have had previously. ..This one I'm just trying to speed through cause I have 14 days to return it whereas the others I believe I had 30...I'm off now so I'll read up when I get home. .. Thanks
