Well next time buy a samsung phone if you desire touchwiz Ui,htc is you want sense UI and sony if you want sony UI
Most of devs that want to port manufacturer ROMs have OCD.Samsung phones dont have a nav bar.Without the hardware nav buttons, the Touchwiz feel isnt perfect,so I doubt that there will ever be a Touchwiz port for the SONY phones.Maybe SENSE will get to be ported someday.

@OP
this is like "where's my iOS7 based ROM"

Apart from the lack of physical buttons on xperia phones, I think all ppl here wants not so modified adnroid skin and thats why they bought xperia phones, so we'll never see TW ROM... personally I think TW is the worst thing in samsung phones xD

They are both terrible, but Sony's UI is better(lighter) than Touchwiz, Sense, LG's UI.
Basically it's like a light skin on top of the stock Android if you disable/remove the bloatware it comes with.
You can even use modules like Gravitybox to customize it, which is for a stock Android, while the other OEMs's(Samsung, LG, HTC) skins you can't.
In terms of how heavy the skins are Samsung → LG → HTC → Sony. That's for the big manufacturers.
P.S.: Motorola uses Stock Android. OnePlus uses custom CyanogenMod. Both are really good.

I believe there's a LG UI 3.0 port for Sonys. It's not a TW, but it is the closest thing.

A very cool move on Samsung's part. It seems like recently they truly understood how the Android community works.
Wat makes cynomod better than the original samsung firmware eeally? Is it coz its jus rooted and has a better theme? Can someone clarify this please?

I am not a big fan of cyanogen (well I wasn't when I was using htc' sense, not a big fan of TW) but I see it as a big step towards the community (if atinm really is just a cyanogen developer) and as a steppingstone to many different mods and custom roms once CM is up and running, I am also very pleased they releases sources early and chose as much as possible open hardware

It depends if you like touchwiz cyanogen probably sucks for you, I love HTC's sense and was never interested in running CM roms (I ran one for 15 minutes and quickly reflashed a sense rom)1 but if you don't care about these vendor customizations you can get roms without all the bloat.
For me the good thing is the galaxy sense team use CM as their base, so hopefully this means a quicker port of sense to the sgs2 too
I suppose this will bring wiimote functionality too?

That would be a AOSP rom, there is a work in progress build in the dev section right now.
CM7 is close to aosp, better most would say.

CM is based on AOSP or vanilla android. However it is pretty heavily modded and has a slew of features such as lock screen gestures, modding of system apps to include additional settings, support for additional file types etc. It's a nice ROM for sure but there are no guarantees it will be 'Faster'. Touchwiz 4.0 hardware accelerates some system apps such as the browser and homescreens/application drawer so a stock S2 may still feel 'Faster'.
Edit: As the above poster said, a pure stock ROM like the Nexus 1/S is in progress in the dev section, CM is far from vanilla android; an advantage for some and a disadvantage for others
This team just opened a thread in the dev section. Let's hope they will do some good work!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
It's not just the CM7 rom that's important
Slew of other custom roms such as miui are based on CM7. This will open the flood gate to modding hopefully
FYI AFAIK (yay acronyms) Samsung gave 1 SGS2 to each big CM7 contributor of CM7 for SGS, so "again AFAIK" 4 SGS2.
Which is pretty much an awesome move IMO

Why hasnt Touch been ported to Nexus S yet?

You look at HTC forums and you see Sense 3 ROMS for the Desire or Desire Z or pretty much any HTC phone. Similarly when Sense 2.1 was new it was already ported onto the Desire. So why hasnt the UI of Galaxy S2 or S1 been ported to Nexus S? I'm not talking about just theming, but a proper port of Touch Wiz

Because TouchWiz is closed-source and no developer wants to put their time and effort into porting TouchWiz? It's very difficult to port a framework all from scratch.
The best thing you could do to come close to TouchWiz is to use the TouchWiz launcher which may be found in the Themes section of NS.
isnt HTC sense also close sourced? Atleast it was in the Desire HD era

yes I can imagine it would be difficult. But I also think there's something more to it. Sense UI 3.0 was ported to Desire even before the first Sense 3 phone was officially out. So either its really easy to port Sense UI or overly difficult to port touch wiz. But its just strange no one has given it a go. Heck there's a Sense 3 ROM for Nexus S

This is not the Desire, Desire Z or whatever phone you think it is.
The Sense 3.0 ROM is not a fully functional ROM. A lot of functionality is incomplete and it is not a "daily driver" ROM whatsoever. A lot of custom kernels also don't support the ROM.
Also, the ROM hasn't been updated for a long time now. It has been on a long hiatus since to the IMEI renaming problem that has caused bricks on people's phones. Not wanting to reproduce the talk about that but that's what happened.
The Nexus S is a pure Google device. If TouchWiz was going to be the deal breaker, you should of gone with Galaxy S2 or Galaxy S series.
Talking is easy. Doing it on the other hand is another problem.

Mate, I'm not flaming, that is what YOU were doing with your useless post! It was antagonistic, so if you can't be constructive, don't bother posting. The OP was just asking a simple question, and I don't believe previously asked anywhere before.
By developing and releasing for the community custom ICS ROMs for both P6810 and P6800, and actively supporting those threads, I am more than doing my part here. I don't even own a P6800...... So it would seem that personally, I'm quite content with ICS, but some new firmware is always good to tinker with.
You didn't even answer my question, or was it just ignored?
What do you base your OPINION on?

The Japan model is called SC-01E Galaxy Tab 7.7 Plus/P6820 and has similar hardware to the Korea Model (SHV-E150S Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE).
Yeah, they both use Qualcomm S3 cpu, APQ 8060.
But we can tell from the naming rule that they both belong to Galaxy Tab 7.7 family.
Since the Japan model remains in tablet ui, maybe the global model of P6800 will continue to have tablet ui after jb update.:victory:
how's 7 plus? does it got phablet mode or tablet mode?
This is the reason why I live by paranoid android ROM.. I cannot live without tablet ui. If they were to use tablet ui with stock ROM, I would definitely root and stick with stock!
In the end it won't matter to me which UI it has, as long as the tablet receives jelly bean.

I dont think we will ever get CM on 9500. Without sources from Samsung make coding for the exynos chipset is to freakin hard. Maybe we will get CM on the 9505. But in generall, CM team have lost their trust in Samsung devices. So we will see if we get CM on this device or not.
Question one
Why do we need aosp on s4 or even htc one?what advantage does it holds compared to the goodies of samsung rom?
Btw it's always good to have an option to choose from.

The runs faster argument is invalid with new gen phones and roms. The ui is sleek though and we can get the pure aosp look with aosp like themes.
I agree with the galore of themes available but again if Google adds theming support in their next iteration as mentioned in the rumor mill then it's going to be tough again.

I also was tired of touchwiz. I installed Nova launcher prime and then froze touchwiz (both home and easy home) in Titanium. Now am quite happy. I was also able to freeze magazine, svoice, splanner and snote and many other Samsung apps with no negative impact.
Now I am liking it, but still waiting a vanilla version.

There's more than the devs to factor in this.
Number 1 - Devs need a base to work on, aka the source code and a recent one at that. Without that they cannot base anything or work with anything, To put it in perspective - You wanna build a car yourself by hand, but have no money or metal or machinery, how do you do it? - you need a base.
Number 2 - Exynos is quite poorly supported due to a lesser number of people that have the device, so most devs won't bother with it as there is little demand for them.
