Unfortunately com.android.systemui has stopped - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

I've been having problems with my phone lately. I was running fine using a rom and started getting the message "Unfortunately com.android.systemui has stopped". I went through and formatted everything installed DirtyUnicorn as a rom and tried again. Same error. I've formatted the internal SD card and every cache that the forums have said to. I was fine for a week and now the same error has come up.
The phone screen will not light up after the screen shuts off after boot though the menu buttons still will. Does anyone have any ideas?

Try a different rom, or best, stock and see if you still have the problem. I'm guessing it's a rom issue

Google+ changed something. I had DU running fine, then G+ updated, then I got this error. Required a pretty serious set of wipes and reinstalls to get it back.
DU has an 8/12 build that works around the problem.

[Q] Hyperdroid

Hi, installed this ROM : HyperDroid-CM7-Killer-Koala-v5.5.2-magldr-signed onto my HD2 and it seemed to be working ok. I downloaded a couple of themes for it and installed them through CWM and rebooted.
When switched back on, the phone seems to be a loop i.e. a picture of a spinning droid being smashed over and over again. I've let it run for 15-20 minutes but it still carries on.
I've removed the battery, rebooted several times and the same thing happens.
Any ideas??

Flashed Back to stock and keep getting specific FC *fixed*

*****EDIT*****
I went to stock recovery, cleared cache and user data (something I had already tried) and it magically stopped happening. I'm not sure if that fixed it or something else, but either way it's a non-issue now.)
So I used Odin and the file found here: Flashing back to stock
I'm trying to return the phone to as close to stock as possible so I can sell it. the flash goes great, I get success in Odin, but I keep getting a recurring FC as soon as I unlock the phone after the flash and reboot. it just says "android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly" and you have the choice to close it. it keeps popping up like every 10 seconds, you click close, and 10 seconds later it's back. I tried to reflash, with no luck. I tried formatting the SD card, with no luck. Any ideas? Unsure what to do next

[CM9] Android.Process.Media has stopped working.

I have been using CM9 on my phone for around 8 months now. But it has started giving me problems recently.
The other day, I was using Google Maps and I suddenly started getting the error "Unfortunately android.process.media has stopped working". This started happening with every other application too.
I can now no longer use my camera.
I can now no longer upload anything from the gallery.
GMail doesn't work any more.
I literally get the error every 15 minutes or so. And usually when I am receiving a WhatsApp message.
I have tried fixing it by moving a lot of apps from the sdcard to /data/data using the Datafix. But it hasn't helped me at all.
I am away from home for another month due to work and I have very limited access to flash a new ROM again.
Is there a work around for this?
Please help.
Hey,
I don't think there's any other fix for this other than going back to stock 2.3.6 and then reflashing CM9 again...
EDIT: just read that you're away from home.
Okay, boot into recovery, wipe data+cache+dalvik, and try flash in CM9 again. See if that works, if not, well...

[Q] WiFi won't turn on?!?!

Hey i've had my S4 since the day it came out and its worked perfectly I used to run a custom rom but ive decided to go back to stock rom. I did and apparently that was a terrible decision because now the wifi wont turn on. When i click the wifi button it goes light green for a split second then instantly back to black and it pops up with a message in the notification bar saying "The device has detected an application attempting unpermitted actions and has stopped loading. To protect your device, it is recommended you reboot." I have rebooted several times, taken the battery out for 2 minutes, factory reset, cleared cache and dalvik, deleted all the files in data/misc/wifi and still no luck. I am rooted but this occurred before me rooting the phone. If you could help me out that would be great! Thanks.

Flash a different kernel. Or clean wipe. Problem solved.

Search for 'nag fix', as this was discussed at length when the phone was released and rooted.

SIM card issues

I recently had some issues with my GPS so I used Odin to go back to stock firmware, everything was still ok after this and my GPS was back to working order. Then I used CF auto root to root my device again/use TWRP recovery. Then I flashed the latest PAC nightly and gapps with seemingly no problems. The phone worked fine for 2-3 days until one day when it was in my pocket I got a warning saying something along the likes of "SIM card has been removed. Reboot required." Rebooting would make the sim come back online momentarily until it would randomly come back up. There didn't seem to be any correlation with any new apps I had installed or things I did on my phone to cause this error. I thought perhaps it was the ROM so I tried reflashing (complete with factory wipe) and the problem still happened. I also tried wiping factory->system->cache&dalvik before reflashing..again it worked but only briefly. I tried going back to stock but it still happens. Right now I'm running task650s aokp and it still comes up..the sim works in other phones no problem. Any ideas on what might be going on/how to fix this issue?
