Try flashing this G900F pit file https://www.dropbox.com/s/rt314eo7nu4li9c/SM-G900F_pit_16GB(1).zip from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2737448 along with the firmware again.
Uncheck Auto Reboot in odin, after the flash pull the battery, wait 20 seconds, go into recovery and data factory reset and reboot.

I'm not sure this is a fix for what I have happening.
Last week my phone was completely dead for 3 days (I was camping and could not do much, other than charge it up).
When it decided to come back to life, it would not boot all the way, and stick on the Samsung screen, or boot and run for a while then just turn off.
I reloaded the Recovery (Phil's) thinking that need to be reflashed, but there are still problems.
I used recovery to try to wipe cache, but it seems cache, dalvic cache and some other partitions are size 0MB (I left the phone at home, since it is not working, so I cannot remember which partitions are size 0MB).
So, in searching for a solution, this sounds like what I need (at least for the first step). Will this correct my partitions? Or, do I need to resize them using recovery?
Or, something else entirely? Any help on which direction to go would be appreciated!

Hey All,
I flashed Jamal's Google Edition ROM, but now i wanted to go back to stock touchwiz rom.
So i downloaded official firmware from sammobile and flashed it trough odin.
It succeeded and started to boot
But then every app started crashing and the phone kept telling me this and that ended.
So i Flashed it again, only this time it got stuck on system.img.ext4
it wouldn't go passed it...
So after 10-15mins waiting i just unplugged and tried to flash again, but it keeps getting stuck on system.img.ext4
Any help is much appreciated!!!

You should have done a data factory reset after the first flash bro, that would have solved it. Can you still get into recovery and wipe the caches and do a data factory reset?

So here we go again...
I tried using Odin to get back to stock but, Odin just kept crashing
every time I tried loading the 'MD5' file. I tried multiple versions as well..
Then I realized even though the computer would say Odin was
'Not Responding' I continued to wait, and finally it loaded the MD5!
So I went ahead and tried going back to stock, but when I did
every stock MD5 file causes my device to close
Google Play, Google Location, and SystemUI rapidly...
I was able to get my original Recovery in there and restore a backup,
but I'd really like to try and go back to stock for a bit and start fresh.
What the heck in the world is going on with my phone?!
I thought Odin was my safety net, here to help me, but
instead I'm getting more and more hassle trying to get it workin'...
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!!
Just tried flashing MK6 using Odin
(MK6 came on my phone originally)
and I get the same issue..
Everything I try ends up failing..

What firmware are you on? What version of Odin are you using? Perhaps try using a different version. Also use original usb cable not universal one. Seems to make a difference.

So the flash was successful but when booting up u get FC's correct? If that is the case then I would guess it's because u didn't wipe data/factory reset preflash. Doing this from recovery should solve ur problem if I understood u right

So Odin doesn't wipe / factory reset
on its own?
The first time I forgot to wipe but
every other time Im sure I wiped in
recovery before hitting up download
mode.
I did make a ROM using NC1
firmware and added KT kernel to
it. The ROM was a dud and that's
why I wanted a fresh start.

The way I understand it there are 2 types of Odin flashable fws: full wipe and no full wipe. Full wipe fws are the ones that come in separate parts, i.e. BL, AP, CP etc. and no full wipe fws are the complete tar.md5 files. I recently went back to stock to get a fresh start as well and had the same issue with FC's on boot up. Factory reset fixed it

Well it sure didn't work last time I tried..
I can get the phone to boot but Wifi remains
locked in the off position and my baseband
remains at MK6 when I was trying to flash
the 4.4.2 NC1 build..
Could this be due to the KT kernel I
flashed before trying to restore?
I flashed the Kernel before all this
happened, then realized the kernel
dropped my wifi, so that's why I tried
restoring to stock, but the wifi still
drops on me after odin'ing back to
stock…

Ya that's what I used too. I just formatted all the individual partitions first using philz to be sure I got a clean start. Also, if u wanna try it, the leaked NC1 firmware that dropped right before the official OTA's came out, I think that was a 'full restore' fw as it came in 4 sections.

There is a boot.img inside the stock fw if I'm not mistaken, and that should overwrite anything you've done to /boot (where the kernel lives).
So if I understand this correctly I have a couple of options one of them being I do the full firmware update using the 4 files provided from the leak. Or somehow install the boot.img and that should fix the wifi drop issues?
Hi all,
Odd question but here we go. I smashed my S4's screen and thus can't see anything on it-nor is usb debugging enabled. I remotely wiped it with Google device manager then flashed it with the latest atock rom via odin so I can sell it for spares.
However, I've just plugged it in to charge the battery and caught the power button so it booted up-I heard the boot sound-then without a sim in it it bleeped a frew times like the Facebook pop notification and vibrated.
How can it have any connection with neither sim nor wifi as I've wiped and flashed it, I can't think what these sound are as I really want the device wiped before sale. Is there any way to be sure /data is wiped or what these could be?
I've disconnected from fb, wiped & flashed, but this doesn't make sense - any ideas?
Flashing the stock rom again with a pit file should wipe everything for sure.

Hi fellow XDA-ers,
I am sorry to say I was too overconfident this time and while attempting to reset my phone, and i bricked it (i think).
So I was updating my N910F to the latest build of the official CM12.1, but I kept receiving weird problems such as no audio when taking videos, or random force closes. Since i hadn't done a wipe in a while (approx 3 months) i thought I'd do it before installing the latest build.
I booted into TWRP recovery, and then did an advanced wipe, and wiped system, data, cache and dalvik (i.e. everything but the ext sd card and the internal storage). I wanted to be thorough you see...
I then attempted to reboot the recovery before doing the installation, but I accidentally pressed system instead of recovery in the reboot menu.
Now my phone only gets to the samsung splash screen, waits for about 3 seconds and then closes again. I have to remove the battery and reinsert it again to get it to repeat this. Plugging it into the PC doesn't allow it to start. I can't reach recovery (otherwise this would be simple!). What can i do?
I would appreciate any and all help you can offer! please help!!

Don't be scared mate, I know it looks ugly but I doesn't, here what you need to do:
first of all try to boot into DOWNLOAD mode, if you can, then you are FINE, power off the phone and press and hold Volume down+home+power for about 5 sec then let them go, phone will boot into DOWNLOAD mode, then
go to www.sammobile.com and download the latest firmware for your device model,
download Odin, there on sammobile website they have the instructions and everything you need,
read and follow all steps and instructions
after downloading the firmware you gonna unzipped and extract the odin file, then
open Odin, Click PDA and navigate to the file you extracted,
then click start, PHONE MUST BE ON DOWNLOAD MODE
This will restore your phone from factory, everything will be wiped, just to let you know, you gonna end having like a brand new phone, now after that, you can root your phone again, and be more carefull fashing roms,
If helped please use the Thanks Button, god bless, cheers:fingers-crossed:

There's no reason you shouldn't be able to restore if you can get into Download mode, unless either your USB port is messed up or the restore image is corrupted. Check the md5 of the stock restore image you're trying to use, and try a different cord and/or a different USB port on your computer.
Also make sure you're not trying to downgrade to BOD5 or earlier if your bootloader is BOE1 or above, because you can't downgrade.

Make sure you got installed buisy box and safe strap . Install recovery from ss , go to super su and update and make sure is granting the app . Try booting into stock recovery mode (hold home + vol UP + power), and clear cache from there and then reboot.
If that doesn't work, do the same thing but do "factory reset" from stock recovery.

If that doesn't work, do the same thing but do "factory reset" from stock recovery.

In the safestrap , wipe and just flash the rom then the bok3 firmware ( your choice for rom and firmware , bok3 or pb1 ) . When is done and you see the SS home splash just reboot to download mode ( if not working do it manual ) and odin the og5 bootloader just in case https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347768483. Done , wait 5 minute , if not working reboot recovery manual and wipe data , factory reset and cache. Is this clear enough ?
Yes, was CLear enough, but it didn't work...
as the last resource I try to fix it with the Verizon app and also with kies. Both reboot and reset the phone, but it is still laggy and the apps wont open soon but after long time... also will freeze for a long time. do you think have something to do with core system?

A reset will resolve just about any issue caused by software. You might be looking at a hardware issue.
Install a system monitor app of some kind to see if any processes are really busy.
It's a long shot, but the only thing that comes to my mind is to remove the microSD card: if that resolves the issue, it means your processor is busy chewing on indexing all the media files on your microSD card and may be getting hung up on a corrupted file. If that does nothing, you might have bad RAM or something.

Thanks, antutu it's fine?
And maybe the SD card as it won't read it fast.. and when I try to access to the SD it maybe freEze or slow down... I'll check it out
Yes, for being slow I'm pretty sure was the SD car as I removed it and it feels more smooth, do you know if there is a way to keep the SD in the phone?

First, try opening the SD card on your computer and searching for files of size "0 kb", (that's zero). If you see any media files that are zero kb, delete them. They are corrupted and are causing your phone's media indexing to get stuck in a loop. Symptoms of this issue are slow performance and the phone running hot from trying to process the file continuously. A battery-use examination or performance monitoring app will reveal "android media process" as the offender.
If this does not resolve the issue, you need to take more extensive action. First, copy everything on the SD card to your computer, then format the SD card using the phone, and then copy the data back to the freshly-formatted SD card. Then double-check it for files with a "0 kb" size.
If the problem persists, a last resort would be getting a new microSD card.
