I am trying to connect my Note 3 to my computer and it will not mount as a device that is visible under windows. It was taken for service and when it came back it only connects to the PC as an ADB device, but not MTP when it is fully booted. I can flash firmware while in Odin, I can connect in bootloader mode, I just can not make it visible to transfer files from the computer directly to the phone via cable. Under device manager it says 'SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface'. USB debugging changes nothing either. My S3 shows ADB and MTP but the Note does not. I have attempted with multiple cables on 2 computers and get the same result. If anyone has a suggestion of a way to fix this without having to wipe again, I'd love to hear it. Thanks in advance.

I need some help guys.
My Nexus 7 all of a sudden stopped sending data through usb OTG and i tried to erase cache through TRWP but ended up deleting the OS. Now I am stuck with a device with no OS. I cannot mount the USB for my computer to recognise it so that I can restore it. I tried ADB sideload but it doesnt load and gets stuck on starting...
If I click on Mount, I cannot click on the USB-OTG box. My computer does have the correct drivers for the USB as it used to work on it before but since the OTG stopped responding to data I am now stuck and cannot push a restore image to the device.
Any help would really be appreciated.
Many thanks.
I've tried almost everything I can think off. I tried different OTG cables, different computers. None of the computers even detect a device as plugged in. Whether I boot into bootloader or recovery I just cannot get the PC to even acknowledge the fact that something is plugged in. As a result I am just not able to flash it at all. I tried NRT with the soft-brick option but that fails too because it says no adb connectivity.
any help please?
So I'm trying to fix a friends bricked note 3, however Odin v3.07 will not recognize the device. I've downloaded samsung kies, however its still not working, not even my PC would recognize the device. The cable and ports are definitely not the issue, since my other phone can be recognized. Any help would be appreciated, thanks .
(if it helps, usb debugging isn't on)

Are you using the original Samsung USB cable? I find that some Samsung phones are very picky about USB cables and USB ports used with Odin.
> I am not sure if Odin will recognize the device if debugging is turned off.
> Anti-Virus & Firewall programs can interfere with adb and/or device connection... open task manager and check the list of running programs as some background services could be the culprit.
> In Task Manager, Also check if adb and/or device driver is running, as at least one of those will be needed for your device to be recognized.
> If drivers are missing for the device, you can download Samsung mobile usb drivers from the Samsung website directly, but if you have Kies 3, chances are these are already installed but not always, especially if Kies 3 isn't even recognizing the device.
> Odin doesn't update live, make sure you plug in your phone first and once the device is acknowledged connected by the PC, open Odin and check for the blue bar in the top left confirming device added.
Guys could anyone help me?
My phone is Samsung A8 variant A800i non-rooted and already 6.0.1.
Eversince I upgraded to MM thru ODIN I am encountering an error in my OTG as in it won't read any disk... the only resort to make the otg work again is to reflash my phone. However during the most recent otg failure, a "USBsettings has stopped" was shown. I factory reset my phone but still this notification appears everytime I start my phone. So when I decided to reflash my phone, I was shocked that my laptop only charges my phone. It can't even detect my files thru mtp connection.
I tried the following and my laptop still can't detect my phone:
1. At the Developers Option I tried to switch the USB Configuration from MTP to Charging to MTP and various other switching, while connected and unconnected to laptop.
2. Dialled *#0808# to reset USBsettings but I am only getting "USBsettings" has stopped.
3. I reinstalled the USBsettings.apk from the system folder (via total commander).
4. I have installed USBsettings.apk taken from another phone.
By the way before I tried the above methods I have already eliminated the cable and pc problems since using the same cable and laptop, I can connect my other samsung phone thru mtp and is detected by odin. I have also tried various other desktop on Windows 7 and 10 but still the same problem: these only charges my phone.
Moreover, there is no abnormality in my charging time eversince this happened.
Hope someone could help me make this work again.
Thank You.
Hello! First, sorry for my bad english. In December after I install Android Nougat with Odin my pc doesn't recognized my phone. I tried different method but no one resolve my problem. I tried to :
1. Install drivers manually
2. Activate USB debugging from developers option
3. Connect my phone to different PC (Win 7/8/10 and Mac)
4. Factory reset
5. Change cable.
At device mannager appear Unknown USB Device and I install Samsung drivers manually.
My phone is not rooted.
PLEASE HELP ME!
does your phone charge when the cable is plugged into your computer ?
Prior to upgrade what type of connection did you have MTP or something else ?
My phone is charging when i plug in computer and is selected mtp connection .
Help! i want to flash official firmware -GT i9500
In past i was able to flash via odin on same pc and now its not showing usb all driver installed
already try changing data cable and diffrent ports i even tried reinstalling win7 and diffrent version of kies and drivers
i dont have other pc or laptops . other samsung phone is showing on download mode on same pc.
odin only shows my phone when i pull battery while connected to usb on download mode and i can flash twrp recovery or
any small size file but cant flash full firmware its disconect after some seconds
it connects well on mtp mode and twrp.
I have the same problem with my S4. I tested J5 2016 and it is connecting properly with the same cable, drivers, etc, either with odin or in normal situations when phone is on. also S8+ connects with its cable and same drivers, etc. But S4 is repeatedly connecting-disconnecting, either in downloading mode or normal situations.
I installed this driver "https://developer.samsung.com/galaxy/others/android-usb-driver-for-windows" which is "SAMSUNG USB Driver for Mobile Phones 1.5.51".

Already tried it didnt work. i dont have disconnecting issue on normal mode i can send and recive via usb mtp to pc for your disconnect problem if it disconnect after phone screen off, go to control panel>sytem &security>power option>change paln setting>change advanced power setting>expand all usb setting =enable change to disable.
If anyone has solution to OP please reply
Thank you!
I eventually succeed! Nothing special just used my brothers' laptop (win 7). same cable, same driver (1.5.51).
My primary problem was WiFi and Bluetooth not working. I was hopeful flashing will solve it but unfortunately no. Seems a hardware problem.
With your recommendation (enable to disable) i saw no change with my pc (win 7).
