No pattern unlock on kk 4.4.2 - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just updated to the stock kk 4.4.2 on my Verizon note 3 DE. The is no option for pattern unlock (it's grayed out). Also, when I try to setup password or pin, it stays on swipe unlock.

Do you have encryption or any other security enabled?

No, clean install, no encryption enabled.

[Q] Can't change security settings on SPH-L720

I have a international and domestic unlocked sprint samsung galaxy s4 running stock rooted 4.4.2 NAE on straight talk. I've never touched the security setting in the 9 months I've had the phone but the other day I wanted to change it from swype to unlock to pin to unlock. It lets me go through the process of setting up a pin but after I enter the pin the second time it just goes back to the main menu and shows it's still on swype to unlock. Anyone else ever have this problem or no a way of fixing it?
Also I just notice when I select screen lock in settngs it shows Swipe, Face unlock, Face and Voice, Pattern and None as greyed out with "Turned off by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage"
Also forgot to add that I have earlier versions of philz recovery and Kt kernel but i'm going to update to their latest versions today.
Check out unknownforce's thread on stock rooted NAE. He talks about this issue in there and may have your answer.

[Q] lock screen settings after root

I had a question, I rooted my tmobile s5 with odin and cwmod and afterwards my lock screen settings were changed so that pin and password are the only two ways to unlock it. The other settings are there but they're grayed out so that I can't select it. Any ideas on why this could be? Bad root? I need to flash another ROM (I kept it stock btw)

[Q] VPN with pattern unlock rather than pin or password

Recently upgraded from the S4 to S5, and the only thing I'm disappointed about is not being able to set up VPN unless I set a pin or password as screen unlock.
On the S4 (unrooted) I was able to set pattern unlock, which I would like to do on the S5. Any ideas how I can do this without rooting? I only occasionally need VPN access so prefer not to root or have to use pin/password just for that.
Thanks!
That's not possible on stock ROM.
Or maybe try this method: https://seo-michael.co.uk/add-vpn-account-to-galaxy-s4-without-screen-lock/
Is there a reason it worked on the s4 (also stock rom)? Is it just a difference in the rom version on both devices?

Unable to Disable Reactivation Lock but can Login

I have a SM-G900V currently running stock PB1 unrooted and a locked bootloader. My s5 also has Cid with 15 so I am able to unlock. My end goal is to have mm rooted and unlocked bootloader with custom recovery.
Now the issue,
The Reactivation Locked is enabled/checked in security settings with my account which I am able to log into both from a PC and while doing a full reset using ODIN or from stock recovery. During reset it makes me login to setup my phone and I do and move forward with setting up my phone. If I go into Settings/Security and turn off reactivation it asks me to login so I do. It says I'm logged in but the check is still there. It actually disappears then reappears right away.
I have done a dozen full on wipes/resets of both the internal and external SD card using odin but nothing seems to let me disable reactivation so that I can get to MM rooted and unlocked bootloader.
Anyone got any pointers?

fingerprintenabler Xposed Mod

I have a rooted S8+ but I found fingerprintenabler does not allow bypassing of the the pattern screen needed to unlock my phone as it did on Nougat on OnePlus 3T...
Are there any other options to bypass the pattern unlock screen and just unlock with finger on this phone for those who are rooted and xposed?

I can unlock my phone using fingerprint scanner only every time except first unlock after boot. Perhaps something is wrong with your phone?
What ROM do you have installed on this phone? Is it the stock one?
