Tytn mute, Help needed

First of all Hi to the whole community by a new noob member.
I upgraded to WM6 thanx to you 2 weeks ago.
Now the problem :
My Tytn is mute.
No sound at all.
No ringing, no playing, no sound at all.
Can someone help me?
It worked fine till yesterday.
It has not been hitted.
I tried Soft and Hard reset, same problem.
It seems an hardware problem (I thought it was a SW problem before hard reset)
Olipro and WM6 Htc version (Italian) on board.

Do you get in-call sound?

No ringing when i receive a call, no sound when playing back videos or songs, no music on games, no system sounds... MUTE
It seems something connected with the speakers, but the really strange thing is it worked till yesterday...

What I'm trying to get at is, is it just the rear speaker or the front earpiece as well? The things you mention use the rear speaker. If you dial your Hermes from another phone and pick up can you hear sound through the earpiece speaker?

yes, it's only the rear speker.
The earspeaker works fine.

Ok. With luck it's just the push on connector for the speaker that's come loose. Not uncommon. If you are not worried about the warranty then see here:

1) the phone is 3 weeks old : do tou think the problem could be the one you mention with a new cell like mine?
2) The phone is under warranty (i dont have problems opening things ) Do you think it is better to bring it to an assistance centre or not?

If it's only 3 weeks old then I would certainly get it checked under warranty. IF it's the connector then it might not have been firmly pushed on from the start. If the speaker is blown then definitely go for warranty as the speaker is not easy to get a hold of.
So although it's an easy fix just remove the back and you see the connector, it is too much to risk your warranty if it turns out to be more serious! Only problem may be returning the ROM to an acceptable one before getting a repair.

yes, this could be a problem.
I hope they will not make objection for WM6 (it's the HTC official relaease) but i think i shiul reinstalla the old bootloader, am i wrong?
is it possible ? where do i find it here ?
I'd really like to make it by myself, the problem, i think, is that the little label "void" has to broken and with it the warranty, hasn't it?
Where can i find an How TO disassemble the Tytn?

suddenly no sound?!?

i have a Hermes, exactly the T-Mobile version..
anyway it worked fine till one day i got no sound at all, no mp3 no notifications, nothing....
except the boot up sound... checked the forums, seems it's a common problem, and i figured that the rear speaker works (since the boot up sound comes from it), the speaker cable is connected so i have no clue... if it would be broken, than the boot-up sound wouldn't come at all from the rear speaker, riight?
changed like 5-6 ROMs so far, from 6 to 6.5, no changes with sound...
any clue guys what to do?
I'd need to solve this asap...

Well, the first thing that i would consider doing is backup my important data and do a hard reset....why don't you try that too....?

got from ebay a new speaker... changed it and it doesnt work either...
hard reset and changing the ROM (6-7 of them) didn't help...
at beginning the sound could be heard at boot only while playing music, ringing and that stuff was mute... after 2 days the sound at boot disappeared too...
so, does anyone have a solution? when i plug the microUSB to 3.5mm adapter i can hear the sound on my earphones, but there is no sound when played normally on the ppc itself...
can anyone help me to solve this? where could be the problem?

okay...
going mad really... now i flashed an original AT&T US rom (although i have a tmobile EU) and guess what.... i hear the sound back again, but only at boot up... other sounds in winmo (ring, mp3, music, programs) are dead... can't hear anything although the volume is set at max...
so... i assume this can't be a hardware issue..
before this ATT i changed like 6 more different roms and all with same problems... now i have sound only at bootup... does anyone know where is the problem and a possible solution?

i've been flashing and reflashing the roms but so far i can get only the boot up sound... any other sound is not available.. why? how to repair it?

whether the results were the same as well (no sound)..?

when using a headset (extUSB) there is sound and everything is normal...

you'd better check the speakers on your device , may be the connecting cable is damaged and if necessary you replace ....

I also have the same problem on my AT&T 8525. The Telephone speaker works but the phone doesn't ring or give audio notifications any longer. I've done a hard reboot 3 times. Bluetooth audio works fine. But no speakerphone. If anyone has a solution we'd appreciate it!

[Q] Phone's Sound Problem

Hi All,
I have a problem with my HD2. I am not able to hear anything during call or my voice mails. But the loudspeaker is working fine. Also if I use head phones, I can hear fine.
Before you start jumping into the build and radios and etc etc, let me tell you this. I got this problem when I did not even know about flashing android on the HD2. But this problems goes away after 15-20 mins after restarting the phone. But this time it is not going from last 2 days, which is frustrating.
Anyone has any solution to my problem, please share it.

Hey Thanks for the advice. But it doesn't work. I had tried this method earlier. But still I gave it another shot. The problem is I do not have any sound at all, not low in call volume...

Ok, did not realise you had no sound. I'm wondering if it is not a hardware problem then. If you can hear via headphones and the rear speaker works, then it is probably the front speaker that is a problem. I'd reflash to winmo stock and take the device in for a warranty claim.

End of January I ordered a G2 32GB in DWi, he arrived with 4.2.2 rom HK, I immediately installed a Euro rom open to D802.
I found a problem. When I called at the listener: there is a constant buzzing and it seems that the sound saturates. For against this problem disappears with Audio headphones (I spend a lot of call like that).
I did an update with the LG software thinking that it could fix things but ... no!
To summarize: each call where I am the sound of the earpiece sizzle or buzzing and seems saturated which makes listening embarrassing!
Have you ever heard of this problem?

I was euro rom open and I went in HK since 4.2.2 update was proposed by the LG software but the problem remains the same so there is little chance that the problem is software?

there is an alternative but not permanent
1° if you turn off your phone, it will do it again each time you start
it take 20 seconds
Ok so unplug your headphones. Click reboot on your device. When your device will reboot plug the headphones. Go to dial keypad. Type in dial 3845#*802#, it will show Hidden Menu.
Click on ELT Test, switch to Manual Mode and click Test Start.
With pluged headphones Click on Audio Loopback to mark it and than click Test Start. Say something or blow breathe to all of your microphones (1st on top right, 2nd on bottom left near jack and 3rd on your headphones). Stay on test more than 20 seconds with saying or blowing breathe.
STOP test
and now play music with your headphone . and appreciates the change

The problem isn't with the headphone but with the earphone....

zenfone 3 poor audio during conversation.

hi. just got my zenfone 3 last August 20 and i notice that the audio when talking to someone, having conversation when someone calls and i hardly hear what is he/she says. i have to toggle the speaker loud just to hear it. can anyone help me. ive tried the audiowizard app installed on the phone although its the same. pls do help.

I have bought ze520k model..me too facing this audio problem

Same here with ZE552KL on 4G i have really bad quality. When I had Galaxy S5 there wasn't any problem...

This is alarming. DOn't see much support on the matter?

I got same phone as far as now. I have no issues with it. Been using it for a month.
Had issues with system getting stuck and everything freezing. (due bad memory management). An update 2 days ago solved the issue and now everything is working perfectly !

Got the same issue, ZE520KL, seems to happen only with normal phone calls. Data was enabled, but I was connected to WiFi, so I'm not sure if it's related with data connection.
It sounds like talking through a walkie-talkie with low volume.
Additionaly, I noticed some kind of background noise filter that turns incoming audio quality down in WhatsApp and Skype calls. It'd be really good if someone came up with a flashable/Xposed mod to get rid of it.

I send my Zenfone to the local service and they said that everything is ok... But still when i'm calling from Galaxy S5 quality is much better :/

I have upgraded it to nougat and I don't have any issues with audio quality when making phone calls, which is fine the sound is still clear enough for my ear.

If you compare it for ex to Samsung S5 it is really bad

It's true, I confirm this. The audio of the conversations is too low!
Is it possible to change the file system on a rooted phone? I don't know, maybe changing some parameters, even if it distorts the sound a bit?

Just sell this piece of .... I just bought Galaxy S8.
