I have searched and searched for a guide to replacing or repairing my logic board on my S4 as well. I somehow bent the rear camera connection pins on the board, and everything works find except the rear camera. Some advice would be great. Though I assume as you that a new board is more than likely the solution?

So I bought a new housing for my O2 XDA II Mini, during the removal of the display ribbon I broke the little black part on the display connector which holds the ribbon down, and after hours of trying to get the ribbon back in and secured I have bent the pins in the connector to buggery.
The ribbon appears to be untouched, however the connector which the display ribbon goes into is broken.
Is there anywhere I can get hold of one of these little connectors to replace my broken one, obviously very sensitive soldering will be needed to remove the old one and solder the new one in place.
Alternatively, does anyone know any mobile phone repair shops in Auckland, New Zealand who would be able to help out with my situation?
I fear all i'm going to hear back is "the motherboard needs to be replaced", however I am determined not to go through this route, as I am a poor student and the phone sounds as if it functions fine, makes the beepy noise when first starting up on the setup screen.
I was very careful with the actual screen unit while removing it, and I have had signs of life earlier on in the broken connector episode, however I can no longer get anything showing as I can't fit the cable in.
Cheers for any help.
Anything would be appreciated.
"obviously very sensitive soldering will be needed"
And that only can be done by machines/robots. I don't think humans are even able to sloder those kind of connections...
But, could you post a picture? cause I might have suggestions on how to fix it. One would be to bend back the pins on the tiny slot with a toothpick and when done to tape the flatcable, so it stays there.
I've maybe got a spare creen for you.

Hi, I've still got a SPV 500 and a MDA Compact, need to find it if you want you can have my MDA Compact screen.
Just PM if you are interested.
I need help with broken lcd flex cable connector on motherboard!
I want to now is another connector fits for Trophy
Nothing?
Nobody knows any solution?
I had this happen on my Touch Pro2, but the cable still worked fine after inserting it. Maybe try a bit of electrical tape on top? I don't know if the facing side on the Trophy connector (the side that is broken has any data carry over or not?)
It's some pretty high level damage to do either way.
I try, but not work.
I hate to say it, your out of luck. :/ Unless you can find someone that can do awesome high level soldering and has access to the parts to replace it... that's it. HTC might repair it at a cost, since the phone isn't under warranty anymore, but you'd have to contact them and ask them if they would and what the price would be.
I buy one with broken LCD and Touchscreen and now I have a working Trophy.
Only thing is to change stock ROM with custom ROM.
I have HD2 , it was used from another person and this person told me that he is experiencing non responsive digitizer from time to time . I was thinking that with digitizer change everything will be OK , yes but NO . No i have changed this phone digitizer and it is not working again
My question is : Is there a way to check this new digitizer ? A lot of people said that it was related to the power button , but i doubt that , maybe is loose connection somewhere or re flow must be done on the screen connector on board ?
Need more info really, is it socket or solder ? did you have any improvement with new digitizer for a while or is it exactly the same symptoms as old one ?
Some of the cheap digitizers are rubbish in terms of QC so plenty of bad ones get sent out.
Bad connection of socket or solder to LCD can cause issues & so can bad fitting of lcd ribbon to mainboard, have seen a few which needed tweaking to get lcd to mainboard connection good so digi worked. Check mainboard connector carefully as if clamp bar broken or plastic cracked on top of connector as they break very easy in the wrong hands.
Worth checking button board too as have had one HD2 that would have digi issues & faulty button board was causing it .
how much cost digitizer?

About 16USD if you hunt on eBay a bit.
Hope someone can help me out here. I broke the screen on my Sprint S4 L720 got the new replacement screen in and peeped out the youtube videos on replacement. I have one problem my S4 has 2 internal antennas and the one on the left has a broken connector. I have searched hi and low and can not fine one video or pic of another S4 with this cable.I connects on the left side of the charging port circuit board and runs the length of the phone and connect to the main board just under the vibration motor. I put the phone back together and all seems to work but would really like to know what this antenna cable is for.

Hello, Is it possible to fix an Samsung Galaxy S5 lcd with a torn ribbon cable without having to buy a brand new one. I tore the ribbon cable. The lcd still turns on, but just doesnt respond to touch anymore. If it is possible, does anyone know any reputable services out there that could fix this problem. Thanks, David
What were you trying to do? Umm maybe check eBay for a replacement or some kind of fix kit

U would need a microscope and very very gently scrape one side of ribbon and then reconnect the lines. Not an easy task. After that retape or hot glue but u will risk the broken connection if u move the ribbon too much trying to reassemble. Only other option is to replace the entire LCD assembly.
