Bump I soooo need this, was really bummed when I found out that jumping for s3 to s5 meant no more MIUI, I'm considering just buying a Mi4 and using it on t-mobile instead.
Xiaomi Mi4 bands:
2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100MHz
4G: TDD-LTE: 2570-2620 / 1880-1920 / 2300-2400
T-Mobile Galaxy S5 bands:
LTE: Bands 1/2/3/5/7/8/4/17
HSPA+/UMTS: 850/AWS/1900/2100MHz
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz

T-Mobile and Samsung galaxy s 2

Sorry for posting it in the wrong section.. the only reason why I did that is because our vibrant is on t-mobile and I wanted to ask if someone knows if non us version of galaxy s 2 would work on tmobiles 3g or even 4g? Im not sure if the phone has 4g.
I just love how wide the screen is and how clean and simple the phone looks....
Willing to take other phone recommendations.
Thank you guys

T-mobile 3g/hspa+ bands
1700/2100
Galaxy S II Bands
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
it would get 3G on At&T but NOT T-Mobile due to the lack of the 1700 Band.
other then lack of 3G the phone would be fully functional. just stuck using GPRS/Edge for Data.

So in other words it would not be fully functional, and if on T-Mobile a waste of money.

Basicly.... unless u dont need data..
Would it really hurt them just to make it so it would run every frequency?

found the answer in case anyone was wondering:
"T-Mobile uses 1700 Mhz to recieve and 2100 Mhz to transmit."

is anyone using an i9505 in Canada?

Anyone using an i9505 in Canada, can you confirm whether LTE works or not? Thanks.
If LTE works, I would like to get an i9505. If not, then probably an i9500.

Yeah, it would seem like Rogers have 2600 as well but I just wanted to be 100% sure that it would work. As for my purchase choice, I would prefer to get LTE but if LTE is simply not an option then I would go for the octa-core.

[Q] Band Geniuses- will this work on ATT?

All,
I cannot keep all the frequencies and bands straight, but it would be awesome if this phone worked on ATT, especially 4G. Becuase this has a removable battery and SD card.

I don't live in the US, but I think VZW uses 700 for LTE and AT&T uses 1700/2100 for LTE. Correct me if I'm wrong.

ATT uses 700Mhz block b and AWS (1700/2100) in some areas
Verizon uses 700Mhz block a.
To answer your question OP, you'll have GSM/Voice, but no HSPA or LTE
Ok. Thanks. This is a no go.

If you ask questions like this it would really help if you supply the bands used by the carrier.
Seems t-mobile operates AWS in U.S. so that would be 1700/2100
Please note the spec list on the linked page is dodgy as duck, the battery supplied with the Korean versions is 2600 (two are supplied, plus a charger) and not the listed 3000
And the phone supports a lot more bands than listed there

Ok here are the bands supported by the different Korean devices.
*4G LTE F320S/F320K( Band 850/900/1800/2100/2600: Upto 150Mbps )
*4G LTE F320L( Band 850/1800/2100/2600 )

[Q] Best model for my use in Canada and India

Hey I need some expert advice on which model of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to purchase.
What frequencies I require:
UMTS networks:
-Wind Mobile Canada: AWS Band IV(1700)
-Airtel India: Band I (2100)
LTE networks:
-Airtel India: Currently using TDD Band 40 (2300) but only in select cities; will be replaced by nationwide deployment in 2015 which will use FDD Band 3 (1800)
-Wind Mobile Canada: Currently does not have LTE, but I presume it will use FDD Band Band IV (1700) when deployed, however as they are yet to purchase adequate spectrum, this could be different.
All input appreciated, thank you.
Neither. Get a note 2

The N910U model looks like it might be good but it's still too soon to say for certain.
Take a look at the specs at: http://www.samsung.com/nz/consumer/mobile-phone/smartphone/smartphone/SM-N910UZWENZC
Thanks, but unfortunately it lacks band IV UMTS, which my carrier in Canada uses.

SM-N910U supports LTE band 4 = AWS (1700/2100MHz)

Does LTE work in Tmobs or VZW is US?

Just curious about signal. I just got a OP5 which I am returning and need a new phone. This looks like a good replacement if it works in US. Thanks!!

From the phone specs these are the working bands:
2G: GSM B2/B3/B5/B8; CDMA BC0
3G: WCDMA B1/B2/B5/B8; TD-SCDMA B34/B39
4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B20, TDD-LTE B34/B38/B39/B40/B41
It's fully compatible with most of the European countries. You could check if they are supported by your mobile carrier in the States.
The trouble is that there's no International/Global ROM yet and, therefore, no support for the Google services framework. I'm also interested in this phone, since the OP5 was a deception. But until an international ROM arrives and developer support is confirmed, I'm holding.
Missing band 2 fro T-MOBILE.
Thought about it as well. But it says you can't get Google play store.
Band 2 is not used having in my area. So this phone would work for me .

Looks like it will work on Verizon all though no LTE band. I would love to try it. Hopefully international version is released soon!
