Hai ,
i am a new user of Xperia Z2 , but i am an old user of Sony
Rooting Z2 before 17.1.2.A.0.314 is easy ... but since 17.1.2.A.0.314 it's not easy for locked bootloader.
I found in this site http://www.ilovexperia.com/2014/07/root-now-accessible-for-sony-xperia-z2.html and i tried it ... i can root my Z2 ...
the zip file seems have a trouble , with the adb ... you may change the adb files with another. and it works.
I am not he maker of the script , just go ahead to that web.
3 words... Search before posting.
Yeah m8 search... you can even use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53484343
oh.. i'm sorry for my mistake ...i searched but i didn't find similar post .. or i might not read carefully..
thanks for the information

Hello guys ..
how are you all .. ??
hope you all fine ..
today i'm gonna tell you how to convert your Xperia Z3 (L55u) unicom edition to D6633 ..
what is the benefit of doing that .. ??
after converting your l55u to d6633 you will have an international Z3 edition without any Chinese apps and easy to root ..
also you will receive OTA ..
Notes ..
1. This works only for L55U ..
2. Disable Anti-Virus ..
3. Battery should be at least 50% ..
PLEASE PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK
Let's Start ..
1. Download this package ..
>>>D6633 + FlashTool<<<
which contains latest D6633 FTF and Flashtool (Portable) ..
NOTE: you can download your preferred FlashTool and FTF file from anywhere you want.
2. Extract files and copy FlashTool folder to C:\ ..
3. Now go to "C:\Flashtool\drivers" and run "Flashtool-drivers.exe" and install drivers ..
4. Copy FTF file to "C:\Flashtool\firmwares" then run Flashtool.exe ..
5. Click on the Lightning mark from the left and choose Flashmode ..
6. Now you will see a new window which contains your FTF info .. don't change anything and click FLASH ..
7. Wait a few seconds before you see a new window with instructions of how to connect your device ..
8. Now turn off your phone and press Volume Down + Connect USB and wait for Flashing to start ..
9. Once Flashing is done .. disconnect your phone and power it on and have fun with your international edition of Z3 ..
>>>>>DONE<<<<<
i hope this guide is helpful for someone ..
Regards.
Any chance for something like this with the tmous version?
What are the differences between the unicom and unlocked international? Any hardware differences?
Sean
you could try with D6653 FTF ..
>>but you do that at your own risk ..
and there is no hardware differences between L55U and D6633.
Hi,
Sorry for the noob question but when do I connect the phone? I assume during step 4?
Thanks for the guide! It's just what I was looking for

My bad....
Thanks!
Another possibly stupid question...
I am unable to download and install the drivers from the flashtool, according the the Xperia software, everything is up to date but when I use the flashtool-drivers application it just tells me it has failed and it won't let me flash it without them.
Is there something I am overlooking?
Thanks
edit:
nm, fixed. Needed to change driver permissions on windows 8
Hello everyone
I have a little question
I have a sol26 32g storage then I flashed a d6603 rom now my phone sees only 16g anyone know how to fix it back?

Root is working for XA and Ultra, all firmwares. Just need to unlock the bootloader before. Read carefully the guide (read comments if needed) and choose "rootpack" for single sim. Don't worry about firmware version.
Will this even work on kernel version : 3.18.22+ ??

No problem reported on last firmwares with 3.18.22 kernel. I will update kernel only if needed or justified
Thanks rrvuhpg, but I'm having a total disaster rooting this phone, it says in service menu bootloader unlocked : yes but in flash tool it says it can't be unlocked. Banging my head against a brick wall and I have spent hours trying to root, any tips ?

It can't be unlocked probably because it is unlocked . You will have same error if you try "oem unlock" command in fastboot, with the reason at the end (not necessary).
Just continue to follow the root guide carefully.
Thank you rrvuhpg for your patience regarding rooting of my phone, Im learning more about terminal commands etc, and believe it or not have just rooted my Sony SWR50 so Im used to the fast boot commands now. Ill keep trying. :good:
Thanks rrvuhpg I have successfully rooted Xperia XA F3111, after first go, thank you very much, merci.

Atm theres no way to root nokia hmd devices safely
You have to wait until Hmd opens it up

Exactly, it is hard to root it, almost there is noway to root it
Otherwise the Kernel should published from the HMD to working on the System resources !
i dont understand ..
some people say that its possible ( with a different TA model )
i am a little bit scared to use a procedure for a different TA model.
i do not want to brick my TA-1033
Can one of you PLEASE tell me how the did it or make a simple (noop) how-to to do it ???
many thanks

i will wait until HMD opens up the bootloader(s)
if you want to give it a try
https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...de-how-to-flash-custom-recovery-root-t3702354
but keep in mind :
10. After your phone rooted, you can reboot your phone. DO NOT INSTALL ANY OTA UPDATES OR YOUR PHONE WILL GET STUCK AT STOCK RECOVERY (However I've never tested Magisk on Nokia 6), but I’ll recommend you to disable automatic update in settings.
so .. i will wait for it
Do you think it will ever happen ? (The fact that HMD opens up the bootloader)

For this part, I don't really care, updates aren't really interesting anyways. Even Oreo is no worthing it versus a root device.
Last update provided an update to Android 8 Oreo. Is it worthy to update ?

Hello dude,
it's due to your region (VNS-LxxC16xxx)
maybe you will never receive the upgrade to nougat (android 7.0/EMUI 5)...
De/rebranding for example to C432/Nordic-European region or other,,,
with the Sebastian's toolkit could surely help you...
Here the link to the thread..
Ask the DEV or other users to be suggested for the suitable/best for you...

Hello,
same as previous post i wrote dude...
I made a little search and it seems your CUST/REGION (C16) is due you live in South Africa.
That's all right but maybe you will never receive any official upgrade to nougat (android 7.x/emui 5.x).
So you need to change your cust, also called "rebrand".
You can do with @k1ll3r8e toolkit, the link is in the above post.
All info is explained as well, make sure you read a couple of time and make a backup of all your files before proceed..
Donot forget to leave your thanks to the developer, he did it for all of us users..
All the best.
@ljay1135
Hey mate use the forum to exchange all infos and files you want !!!
You are starting from zero and have a lot of things to do, try to follow and do one thing at a time....
First unlock bootloader and flash a custom recovery... TWRP suggested...
So download toolkit and simply follow what explained as well.
With the toolkit you can do everything you need to rebrand....
You need some kind of files you will flash with TWRP and stock recovery so only follow what are wrote in guide.
For the bootloader, Huawei site doesn't work so use DC-Unlocker to grab it...
Use search on the whole p9 lite thread to find what you're looking for
or kindly use @ and ask dev or other users to take an advice, i'm sure someone wil help you..
It's not really complicated, just before make some things read more time what you're planning to do.
I cannot guide you throw this, you can do it.. just believe in yourself and use brain (must powerful muscle we have..)
Have a good day dude and remember make a backup and do one thing at a time..
P.S.: To do this some basic knowledge needed. if you think you do not have them, give up... Sorry..
