Hi all,
I have been wandering the forums for about a few days now with the question
Can i unlock bootloader for my Axon 7 (chinese edition) with build B13.
I have tried to sideload B20 but this fails.
Tried to replace the fastboot image. but the ADB wont see any device after going into recovery mode.
I have tried almost all guides how this should be done.
Could anyone help me with this?
Kind regards enkrs(the netherlands)
I have the same issue. I can connect to the phone and make a recovery image but it won't write. I get stuck in a Chinese menu which I don't wanna mess with.
Tried googling a translation of the menu (mifavor iirc) but couldn't find it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Anybody ?
Did you success ? i have same problem.

Nope.... nobody seems to know :/ everybody that responds to this question on the internet talks about the US version and doesn't respond anymore when you mention the Chinese one
I have success in unlocking bootloader of b13.

Just update your phone to B13 MM first. Then you can follow my guide to unlock bootloader, install twrp and/or root.

Atm theres no way to root nokia hmd devices safely
You have to wait until Hmd opens it up

i will wait until HMD opens up the bootloader(s)
if you want to give it a try
https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...de-how-to-flash-custom-recovery-root-t3702354
but keep in mind :
10. After your phone rooted, you can reboot your phone. DO NOT INSTALL ANY OTA UPDATES OR YOUR PHONE WILL GET STUCK AT STOCK RECOVERY (However I've never tested Magisk on Nokia 6), but I’ll recommend you to disable automatic update in settings.
so .. i will wait for it
Do you think it will ever happen ? (The fact that HMD opens up the bootloader)

For this part, I don't really care, updates aren't really interesting anyways. Even Oreo is no worthing it versus a root device.
Last update provided an update to Android 8 Oreo. Is it worthy to update ?

Yes it is
So...Here we are again!
Like last time I want to have a clean Android experience and EMUI isn't even close to that.
I have the 2018's Huawei P Smart and rumors say that I have a big change that when I unlock the bootloader and try to replace EMUI my phone will brick...
Is it true? If yes, is there anyway to get clean Android on the Huawei without that risk???

Is it safe to unlock the bootloader on a Huawei P Smart (FIG-LX1) in 2019 with the latest software updates?
No , downgrade it . Then unlock the bootloader . You need to pay and use the software of dc unlocker to get your code. Unlock the bootloader. Flash twrp . Flash a custom rom ( the only custom roms are treble GSI's ...
But first of all learn to read and follow forum rules ..do a global search in XDA and follow the guides .

Yes it could be, but make sure to backup your data then you can carry on..it will simply downgrade your bootloader and recovery of your phone and then your phone is able to get updates because recovery is downgraded .. and download firmware from there use patched ost tool and flash it ..

Hello dear,
I don't know if the 'demo' version can be unlocked (bootloader code),
but if yes then you can use @k1ll3r8e's TOOLKIT to rebrand to another region (cust)
like C432 european or C636 asian, etc... you just need the correct files.
Once you rebranded then will be possible to upgrade to nougat via Firmware Finder app
or some other tool/script.
P.S.: What version of p9 lite do you have ? L21-L22-L23-L31-L53 ?
Cheers

Well, i think you can rebrand to the european firmware (C432);
both single and dual sim oeminfo files and matching firmwares (B160&B161) available. (see the attachments below)
But, like a told, you need to unlock the bootloader first.
P.S.: you already risked to brick the device trying by your own,
using the toolkit and doing something wrong could turn the device in a paperweight....beware what you do with your device !!!
Cheers

Dear friend,
I agree with you and completely opposed to paying, but
I believe there are no other ways than giving up a couple of beers and
using DC-UNLOCKER which at the cost of 4 euro reads the bootloader code.
Obviously you only know if it's worth it and definitely remains your choice.
For everything you should / want to do there's a guide you just have to follow.
If you encounter any problems or are unsure about how to do,
you can always meet the community or me in this topic.
I wish you the best !!
