I have to wonder why you are posting here, rather than in the Safestrap support thread where you would undoubtly get the benefit of more experience. You also haven't provided enough detail to make it clear what has happened.
Where is your backup stock firmware? Where ever you put it. It sounds like you didn't make one though, in which case the answer is that there isn't one. You can download the stock firmware from numerous sources.

Ok so I have the Verizon Samsung Galaxy s 3 with 4.3 (out of warranty). I used saferoot then safestrap. After a failed attempt to install a custom Rom. I can not restore to the backup I made in safestrap. I did get the phone to reboot though download mode, but no I have no wifi terrible battery life and phone get hot no matter what I'm doing and don't think I'm rooted anymore.
My question is what should I do now? I would like to just go back to the junk stock version if possible. Or if there is another solution I'm all ears!
You are in the Verizon NOTE 3 forum.. if u want to return to stock u have to download the stock tar file and flash it in odin.. maybe u messed up with the phone, but because you put sch i535 I'm guessing that u do have an s3..you will have to go to that forum. If not here is the op with the stock files..

Do you still get the Safestrap splash screen on boot? If so you can just restore or reflash. Otherwise, you'll need to use the NB1 Odin and take the NC1 OTA.
Before you flash again, make sure you wipe in Safestrap (all but external SD) and check your ROM. Make sure it doesn't need an updater-script in the All Things MK2 & NB1 thread and for gravitron specifically download the Safestrap version of it.

Hey
Since I don't know how to make a backup of the stock recovery without root or custom recovery, I want to ask if anyone already has a backup of the stock recovery and want to share it. Or if you know a site where I can download it, you can mention that too. It's just that the gt i9515 isn't that populair.
Thanks
If you want the stock recovery back, then just flash the stock rom. No point in backing it up.
I thought the recovery isn't a part of the rom. Am I right?
Does anyone know where I can get it?
I am currently new to all this stuff so i dont have an exact idea what i was doing
First of all i rooted my Device I9500 Which had 5.0.1 Android
then i installed TWRP Recovery and then i was not able to backup any stuff to External SD Card so i installed some Boot.img which i exactly dont remember which i installed from watching any youtube video then later some problem occured It showed some error like "firmware upgrade encountered an issue" then i flashed Philz touch recovery which then worked and i was able to backup my data but i was not able to Boot into my Original ROM or couldnt see an option for that. Then i downloaded The Ozcan V6.3 ROM and tried installing it it succesfully installed but after that its not able to boot uo and stuck at SAMSUNG Logo Screen.
Please Help me What to DO !!!.
Thanks In Advance
If your device can still get into download mode, download the stock Android 5.x image for your device and flash it using Odin. That will get you back to square one so you can start over with rooting and installing the custom ROM.
I had the same problem on my gs4. It would only go to galaxy logo so I flashed the lollipop firmware via odin and all is well.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app
Just have to flash the default one with Odin ?
i also backed up my old data with philz to my sd card that also and i also downloaded a new Default 5.0.1 ROM ?
Which one should i flash ?
and whats the critera for finding ROMs leaving the model number ? (noob question)
Is the S4 unlocked? If not, what country are you in and what carrier do you have?
My Country is India and its the International Version I9500 and i am not pretty sure that it was unlocked or not .but it was rooted and recovery was installed
Added later :
I just installed recovery back and then tried to install ROM the ROM was also stuck on the Boot Loop I think my boot loader isnt unlocked and ima stuck there because of that
I9500 isnt bootloader locked. And u must be flashing the boot.img on other partition that not in the odin package. So u must search how to repartition ur device. But. U MUST VERY CAREFULL WITH REPARTITION OPTION! U MIGHT BRICK UR DEVICE IF U DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT U DOING!. And if u wanna flash recovery and boot.img or bootloader thing. U must ONLY flash for I9500 version!. And if u successfully repartition ur device. U will lose all internal storage too. Ok good luck

You would know if you were carrier unlocked as you'd be able to put a SIM from a different carrier into the S4 and have the device work. To get you the correct ROM we still need to know your carrier.
secure download : enabled
Hi my galaxy s4 gt i9500 is stuck in a bootloop. When is boot I get "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies and try again"... when I boot into download mode I see "secure download : enabled" which wasn't usually there. Am trying to flash the pit file with twrp but Odin is failing.... is it because of the secure download enabled?? Please help me
You can't flash the PIT file with TWRP.
Do you have Odin? Do you have a copy of your stock ROM, downloaded either from Sammobile or samsung updates? If not, you'll need to get them. You then flash the firmware through Odin WITHOUT the PIT file. This should restore your device to operating condition. Afterward, you will of course need to root the S4 and flash a copy of TWRP to be able to install a custom ROM.
Carrier is Airtel
Hi,
I have rooted and installed TWRP on my 910F Note4 as I was fed up waiting on the lollipop update rolling out. I am currently on 4.4.4 and have made a full backup using TWRP of the stock rom.
My intention was flashing the Cyanogen ROM and using that, but i now see on sammobile there is a stock 5.01 rom available. I have a few questions about this.
1. If I flash to Cyanogen can I still revert back to the stock rom 4.4.4 I have made a backup with? I read somewhere there might be problems as I was on KitKat then moved to lollipop(Cyanogen).
2. Can I flash the stock lollipop rom from within TWRP? Or do you have to do this via ODIN?
3. If I flash the Lollipop stock ROM with Odin I assume I will lose root and TWRP? So this would have to done again?
Guess I am asking what is the best way to proceed?
Thanks again
Paul

hi Paul,
1. i beleve to flash CM from kitkat you will need to install the lollipop bootloader first.
2. You have to flash the stock rom via Odin, you will keep all apps settings and files but you will lose root (you u can re root in 3 minutes)
Best thing you could do is flash the stock rom first with odin, see how that feels (IMO its good been using it for months now) and then root it and back it up and flash CM12 (you dont have to flash any boatloader at this point)
grtz

Ok tried to flash Stock O2 UK lollipop ROM via ODIN and got error message on screen. MD5 too big or something. Had to pull battery on phone. Had to then reflash TWRP. Got back into TWRP and tried to do a recovery of the backup I took but phone is stuck at Galaxy note 4 screen. It then shuts down and restarts and gets to the same screen again.
Do I try a different ROM? What can I do?
Thanks

I got it working by flashing the German non branded ROM... Got the error message again but then used a "All samsung recovery.tar" as stated on another post in here and it booted fine eventually... Now on Lollipop. Now time to flash with TWRP.... Again!!!
Please, i need help !
I need help, urgently !
My Note 4 SM-N910C does not work. I can enter the Recovery and the Download Mode. When attempting to install a Custom ROM gives me an error that says I have no data. In the internal memory I have 0mb.
I tried using odin, but I can not .. Salta error.
Someone who can make a backup of your phone (which is factory), leave me a link to download it? So I install the TWRP. Please.
They have another solution?
Thank you.:good:
