[DISCUSS][XPOSED]Show off your Xposed Setup! - Nexus 5 Themes and Apps

Welcome to the Xposed Setup Discussion!
Hello Guys, I have started this thread so that we all can share our Xposed setup.
Here are some simple rules to be followed:
(1) Name the xposed modules you use in any order separated by comma(","). Optional: You may also mention specefic settings for individual modules.
(2) Mention the ROM you are using so that other users can get an idea about the compatability of xposed modules.
(3) Conclude something about your setup like hows the performance with your modules enabled or how the modules you use make your device more useful. You may also attach screenshots to show off the changes brought by modules.
Thats it! No other rules to be followed!
Some useful Links:

Here is my Setup with Xposed:
Modules - Show Keypad, Youtube Adaway.
ROM - Mahdi 2.7 07/19 Build
Conclusion - Just necessary modules that I use to get rid of the the ads in Youtube and to get the Dialpad popup automatically whenever I open Phone app.:highfive:

Gravity Box
Tinted Status Bar

Here's my set up, Mahdi rom 19/7
SwipeBack (disabled nav bar and using swipe up from bottom as a back gesture, its totally changed the android experience.)
CPUTemp in status bar, this lets me know if some apps are acting up, really handy to have a quick at-a-glance look at my cpu, if the temp is above 50-55 that means something intense is happening, 60+ something really intense such as a 3d game. 40-50 normal temp. It should be below 40 when I'm about to sleep and have it on airplane mode playing a podcast
StatusbarVolume - makes the volume panel a thin bar on the top, non obtrusive when I'm toggling it whilst doing something on the screen, this is just fantastic.
All Notifications Expanded - just my laziness
Complete Action Plus - changes the entire look/feel of the "Open With" pop up, totally customisable and really unmissable once you have it!
Burnt Toast- - shows the app icon in every toast, really cool and neat thing that's hard to miss once you have it
PlayPermissionsExposed - shows all permissions in the new version of play store
ReceiverStop and Wakelock Terminator - both these were used to stop the nlpwakelock problem, I don't remember the specifics but this helps get the phone into deepsleep
StatusbarScrollToTop - really neat feature, don't remember it being in a custom rom
TintedStatusBar - L style before L was a thing, this is what really MAKES the user interface pop
Enable BatteryStats Permission - kitkat disabled batterystats for 3rd party apps like Battery monitor, this re-enables them.
iOS7 X - changes signal/wifi positions similar to ios but keeps the notification icons. I use version 1.02 because it's stable and does what I need it to, along with clock in center.
XDictionary - app that searches for the definition of any word selection, real handy tool
SuggestionsToggle - this is relatively new but makes life easier when trying to enter urls without swiftkey trying to screw them up with spaces!
I'm Not using the usual favourite Gravitybox because most of those features are there in mahdi rom.
Overall, After a long struggle with the galaxy nexus, I can finally say I'm Happy using a smartphone every day!

Mahdi, sorry. Thought it was included in the screen shot.

Here's mine on Bigxies stock rom with flar2 kernel
#64268gkyJL#8653%dhjGUKVS357.

Work on all jb+ ROMs I've used so far. I don't know why that's a question. Modules usually only come custom for some phones.

is cheating with girlfriend considering warez? cause is contrary to regulations of xda-developer.
my xposed had that module that change icon and renaming app, next step is lock that app and everytime my girlfriend ask i just tell is "security" issue

Wow... great thread. I was always overwhelmed with all the modules in Xposed and did not know which ones would add real value vs. just a hog on the system. I will sit and watch this thread to see what everyone uses and then cherry-pick the ones that I like from here

Using stock+code blue kernel
Customization and features of a ROM with stability of stock.

I'm surprised that nobody is using Xutilities , it lets u change the font of all the dates and times

First i will be giving you directions on how to enable and disable pie
MAKE SURE TO DO A NANDROID BACKUP, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE.
1. install Paranoid android on its latest build jan22, and also grab the pa_gapps or use the standard google GAPPS. Feel free to flash a custom Kernel of your choice
2. After your rom has successfully flashed go to settings. From there scroll down to "Toolbars" . You should see PIE CONTROLS. enable it, then choose your pie location of choice, (only makes sense to enable it on ONE side) feel free to choose "pie per app" This will allow to change pie colors with your apps of choice
3. Next go to "Hybrid Properties" which is in the settings. It will pop up with a choice of
PA Colors
Stock UI
Phablet UI
Tablet UI with 190 DPI / 1000P, 220DP1 / 1000P and 250 DPI / 1000P
4. choose PA colors first (optional) to enable Per App colors.
5. Swipe to the left and you should come across the "Paranoid Android Settings" it's going to give you options of
Launch
Interface
Apps
Tools
Help?
Go pro
6. This step is optional, go too the "APPS" in the "Hybrid Properties" and begin choosing the colors you would like for your apps. (Making your pie the custom color you want for that designated app)
7. Last but not least hold down the power button untill the Power control pops up and give you the option to Power off / reboot / Expanded Desktop / Airplane mode.
CLICK EXPANDED DESKTOP
Now your status bar and Nav.bar should dissappear.
8. Now if you remembered your PIE choice on weather is will be Top / Left / Right / Bottom. slowly give it some good swipes from the end of the phone onto the screen (for best results) and LOOK AT THAT, THERES YOUR PIE.
========================================================================================
HELP! MY PIE WONT SHOW UP AFTER I UNLOCK MY DEVICE, ITS NOT WORKING PROPERLY
Well, i suggest after unlocking the divice, give it 2 or 3 seconds then try to use PIE i garuntee 99.9% It will work all the time =)
HELP I CANT USE THE BOTTOM PIE IT NEVER SHOWS UP!!!
Hmmm, as another lad had told me, always swipe up from the notification led place, and give it a good slow (ish) swipe up, and i garuntee 99.8% it will always work
HELP! MY PIE WONT CHANGE COLORS FROM THE APP COLORS I CHOSE.
Did you remember to do 7? and did you enable "PIE PER APP" in the toolbars section in the settings?
HELP!!! I DID ALL MY COLORS BUT THEY STILL WONT SHOW UP!!
Do a reboot and BOOM there you go.
====================================
If there is anything i did not covor, feel free to PM me and i will fix it, and if there is anybody i was sapposed to give credit too that i have missed please inform me and ill give where all the credit is due. Please this is a thread where all questions could be asked and anwsered, lets not make this a troll thread please, and lets not get annoyed. Feel free to share screenshots of issues or give out any problems, if they are fixable.

As far as I know right now the only way to have the Status Bar and Pie mode is using the Jan 15 nightly by not using expanded desktop and setting nav bar to 0%. Do you know if that functionality will be brought back or is already brought back on the jan 22 nightly?
I know the new nightly has the notifications, clock and such built into the expanded desktop pie mode, but it takes much more time to do things that the status bar gives easy access to.

you could also use the app smart status bar app https://play.google.com/store/apps/...r.free&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd
its free, no worries. all it does is give you a gesture option to drop the status bar quickly and itll dissappear in no time until you use next gesture
Please.. We have an official help thread >.< if you want something to add write a pm to the op.
This thread only produces confusion.
I agree plus this thread seems to give out incorrect information which will only add to the confusion.

[Q] LG G2 & Xposed Framework - bit confused

Hello,
I'm having a really hard time deciding between an LG G2 and the Nexus 5. On paper the LG G2 wins (bigger screen, bigger battery, better camera, etc) and as I can get one of these for less than the Nexus 5 the LG G2 seems the right choice as I'm not too concerned about software updates.
That said I am concerned about the bloated/ugly LG UI - sorry folks as I know some like it! I know I shouldn't judge till I have one but the screenshots I've seen do like rather bloated/unflattering compared to a Nexus 5 for example. However I don't really want to install a custom ROM as I'm a n00b, don't really want to deal with stability issues and just want it to work day in, day out.
As such I was wondering if I do get an LG G2 can I just use the Xposed framework to improve the UI rather than going down the custom rom route? It looks, for example, like you can do some pretty nifty things with Xposed framework + Gravity Box. For example, I'd like to tidy up the top row of icons (clock, battery meter, carrier, signal strength etc) as the LG blue icons look a bit ugly. I'd like to make these white, transparent, change the battery meter to a percentage, etc. I'd like to tidy up the settings page, etc etc. Basically I'd like to make the appearance of the UI more like an N5.
I *thought*, however, that the Xposed framework and it's modules were only supposed to be used on stock devices such as Nexuses/unskinned devices as ultimately modules like Gravity Box reach deep into the actual ROM?
I'm also aware of the specific G2 Xposed module so assume this is a safe module to use but what about other modules like Gravity Box?
Thanks in advance for any help!
xposed works very well with G2

as you can see im on stock rom, with transparent bar, white icons etc. you can change the battery meter to a percentage too. only thing you need is root (very easy to get)
Thanks timon12 - your screenshot captures EXACTLY what I'd be looking to achieve! Looks very nice!
I'll be coming to an LG G2 from an iPhone so an Android n00b but I can follow instructions so hopefully rooting won't be too difficult. Is there a specific guide/method you'd recommend as I've seen a few?
Any chance you could tell me a little more about your setup and maybe a few more screenshots - for example:
1) What modules did you use with xposed - eg. Gravity Box, G2 xposed, etc?
2) Any joy sorting out the settings menu where Qslide seems to take up half the darn screen?
3) Is that a custom launcher?
4) Any mods to improve the camera speed which folks seen to complain about?
5) Final question I promise! I know rooting alone shouldn't block future OTA (I'm thinking about 4.4.2 when this updates rolls around) but does using modules like Gravity Box which affects the actual stock ROM potentially cause issues with updates?
Thanks bud!

notifiaction bar
navigation bar + notifiacion bar are chaning colors depending on app (blue with facebook / gray with sms etc ). you can set everything in g2 xposed
Thanks @intotheunknown and @timon12 for this thread: you two gave me exactly the questions and answers I had in mind.
Cheers!
@timon12, did you ever tried GravityBox module by chance?
Could you make any comparison with G2 Xposed or G2 TweakBox?
I did donate to GravityBox when I was using it on my Nexus 4, and still find it quite satisfying feature wise.
Does G2 Xposed work better in your opinion?

Guide for getting the navbar on our note 3

There's not a lot of demand for this but here we go anyway haha!
This has only been tested on dynamickat 4.2 and all credit goes to bri315317 for his awesome rom. Also this will not work well with tw so install a 3rd party launcher that supports navbars.
1. First things first back up your rom incase you mess up something and your phone goes poof.
2. open up your build.prop located in your system folder with a file manager and add qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 as the last line in your build.prop
3. Reboot into recovery and Install the Aosp systemui that bri made for his rom.
If you don't wish to customize the navbar buttons then there's no need to proceed further.
4. Download xposed additions for xposed. This is used to disable the hardware buttons.
5. Download gravity box kk for xposed. This is used to customize the navbar buttons and other parts of the rom.
6. Make sure to install another launcher besides tw launcher because tw doesn't work well with softkeys. I installed nova launcher but Googles launcher works as well.
After you've done all of the above reboot and profit
Actually I've done some fairly serious googling to accomplish what you've outlined here.
Hardware home button has been my biggest issue since buying the device. Thanks a bunch

Huh, interesting. Do they show up for you at all? I've only turned it on once to try it out, worked fine but I only used it for a few minutes, so you probably have more insight than I do.
Does anyone else here a problem with the Dialer app? I have an extra bar at the top that is only made for the settings icon and it blocks the first contact.
Edit: Do I need AOSP UI now? I'm on Dynamic Kat 4.2 and was able to get a navbar before, but when I tried to add it just now to get a screen shot of my problem I just get constant UI Crashes.
This happens by editing the build.prop file and with using GB.

This is what I'm talking about. I thought for sure it covered up part of the contacts but it still takes up quite a bit of space.
That's because it adds the menu button. Which takes up space unfortunately. But shouldn't affect anything other then an eye sore

It is actually a lot more stable than I would have imagined. Glad I flashed it. Only issue I see so far is now I have an ongoing notification for the Beta Program download.
Dedicated theme section in the display settings. Promising!
I'm really enjoying it so far. Will report shortly if anything breaks. Main thing I'm looking for is enhanced battery life with the new backgrounding method.
- Dedicated theme section -- Inverted theme
- Resizable navigation bar -- Ability to add extra functions to left and right of soft keys
- Settings options are all in different order now (took me a few seconds to re-orient myself. LOL)
- Struggling with TWRP with 'fastboot boot twrp.img': It goes to black screen, then does an ramdump.

ROM & Kernel customization options wishlist

Post up your wish-list of custom options for custom ROM's (non OP) and Kernels and I'll add them to the OP.
This is for options that you aren't finding in any ROM, or at least not in your favorite ROM.
Feel free to mention your current ROM if you like but this thread is NOT about which ROM is the best or your favorite.
Please don't turn it into that. :good:
I'll try to bold new suggestions every day or so till the thread gets tired.
*Ability to filter out specific notifications from appearing (ie: NotifyClean)
*Bring "only show running apps" option back to Slim Recents.
*Clearly mentioned in OP if rom supports encryption/decryption.
*Day/Night - Provide option to switch between two different Substratum themes at toggle of a button.
*Fix the earphone bug.
*Fully working OOS camera
*Now Playing features from Pixel 2 XL detect song from lockscreen via ambient
*Option to remove USB Debugging notification is missing on some newer ROM's.
*Ring on charge complete
*Vibration - Would like to have option for more than 100% vibration.
- Clearly mentioned in OP if rom supports encryption/decryption. That is not always the case and people ask many times in the same thread.
- Long press back to kill foreground app.
Fully working OOS camera times 100. Literally the only thing stopping me from switching from OOS betas. I'm aware of the Google Camera functionality and also about all its problems.
Ability to filter out specific notifications from appearing. For example, my wife and I 'share' an Amazon Prime Photos account. I don't want a 'Successfully uploaded photos from your 3rd device' notification every time she uploads something. But I don't want to mute notifications for the whole app (or sometimes even notification group) as I may not get the 'upload progress' notifications' anymore. The Xposed module Notify Clean was perfect pre-Nougat and AutoNotification works alright post-Nougat, but it would be nice if this was baked into the ROM.
OP updated.

Just FYI, this is already available in every custom ROM I've tried so far.
You just have to enable the navigation bar options and then go into the button editor. I set up all my ROM's with this. And set the home button to open camera on long press.

OMG, if NotifyClean ever gets updated for Oreo I will go back to using Xposed again.
I really miss that app and some of the others by that dev. :good:
Hello there,
First off, the only couple things that stopping me to move from stock to a custom rom is the OOS camera (as mentioned above) and mostly the earphone bug. The mic on the phone and the earphones seems to be activated during a call and it gets pretty annoying to hear an amplified background of your environment and the person's on the other end, seems like most custom roms have this problem.
I've also long wanted to see ''ring on charge complete'' on the OP5T.
Thank you for asking.
Sorry i know this feature is hard to make but Now Playing features from Pixel 2 XL detect song from lockscreen

I think this might be an option using Light Flow?
If you really want it then it might be worth looking into.
It does custom ringtones for certain actions.
And they can be backed up for ROM re-flashes as long as the ringtone is stored in the usual spot /system/media/sounds/etc.

To clarify my personal request here:
*Day/Night - Provide option to switch between two different Substratum themes at toggle of a button.

A few ROM's provide built in day/night theme options.
But they don't theme apps like phone or calculator or anything else.
They only theme the settings and drop-down and a couple other things.
I want a nice non-tasker hack.
And would be willing to donate for it
