First i will be giving you directions on how to enable and disable pie
MAKE SURE TO DO A NANDROID BACKUP, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE.
1. install Paranoid android on its latest build jan22, and also grab the pa_gapps or use the standard google GAPPS. Feel free to flash a custom Kernel of your choice
2. After your rom has successfully flashed go to settings. From there scroll down to "Toolbars" . You should see PIE CONTROLS. enable it, then choose your pie location of choice, (only makes sense to enable it on ONE side) feel free to choose "pie per app" This will allow to change pie colors with your apps of choice
3. Next go to "Hybrid Properties" which is in the settings. It will pop up with a choice of
PA Colors
Stock UI
Phablet UI
Tablet UI with 190 DPI / 1000P, 220DP1 / 1000P and 250 DPI / 1000P
4. choose PA colors first (optional) to enable Per App colors.
5. Swipe to the left and you should come across the "Paranoid Android Settings" it's going to give you options of
Launch
Interface
Apps
Tools
Help?
Go pro
6. This step is optional, go too the "APPS" in the "Hybrid Properties" and begin choosing the colors you would like for your apps. (Making your pie the custom color you want for that designated app)
7. Last but not least hold down the power button untill the Power control pops up and give you the option to Power off / reboot / Expanded Desktop / Airplane mode.
CLICK EXPANDED DESKTOP
Now your status bar and Nav.bar should dissappear.
8. Now if you remembered your PIE choice on weather is will be Top / Left / Right / Bottom. slowly give it some good swipes from the end of the phone onto the screen (for best results) and LOOK AT THAT, THERES YOUR PIE.
========================================================================================
HELP! MY PIE WONT SHOW UP AFTER I UNLOCK MY DEVICE, ITS NOT WORKING PROPERLY
Well, i suggest after unlocking the divice, give it 2 or 3 seconds then try to use PIE i garuntee 99.9% It will work all the time =)
HELP I CANT USE THE BOTTOM PIE IT NEVER SHOWS UP!!!
Hmmm, as another lad had told me, always swipe up from the notification led place, and give it a good slow (ish) swipe up, and i garuntee 99.8% it will always work
HELP! MY PIE WONT CHANGE COLORS FROM THE APP COLORS I CHOSE.
Did you remember to do 7? and did you enable "PIE PER APP" in the toolbars section in the settings?
HELP!!! I DID ALL MY COLORS BUT THEY STILL WONT SHOW UP!!
Do a reboot and BOOM there you go.
====================================
If there is anything i did not covor, feel free to PM me and i will fix it, and if there is anybody i was sapposed to give credit too that i have missed please inform me and ill give where all the credit is due. Please this is a thread where all questions could be asked and anwsered, lets not make this a troll thread please, and lets not get annoyed. Feel free to share screenshots of issues or give out any problems, if they are fixable.

As far as I know right now the only way to have the Status Bar and Pie mode is using the Jan 15 nightly by not using expanded desktop and setting nav bar to 0%. Do you know if that functionality will be brought back or is already brought back on the jan 22 nightly?
I know the new nightly has the notifications, clock and such built into the expanded desktop pie mode, but it takes much more time to do things that the status bar gives easy access to.

you could also use the app smart status bar app https://play.google.com/store/apps/...r.free&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd
its free, no worries. all it does is give you a gesture option to drop the status bar quickly and itll dissappear in no time until you use next gesture
Please.. We have an official help thread >.< if you want something to add write a pm to the op.
This thread only produces confusion.
I agree plus this thread seems to give out incorrect information which will only add to the confusion.

Welcome to the Xposed Setup Discussion!
Hello Guys, I have started this thread so that we all can share our Xposed setup.
Here are some simple rules to be followed:
(1) Name the xposed modules you use in any order separated by comma(","). Optional: You may also mention specefic settings for individual modules.
(2) Mention the ROM you are using so that other users can get an idea about the compatability of xposed modules.
(3) Conclude something about your setup like hows the performance with your modules enabled or how the modules you use make your device more useful. You may also attach screenshots to show off the changes brought by modules.
Thats it! No other rules to be followed!
Some useful Links:
Xposed Installer
Xposed Modules Repo
Here is my Setup with Xposed:
Modules - Show Keypad, Youtube Adaway.
ROM - Mahdi 2.7 07/19 Build
Conclusion - Just necessary modules that I use to get rid of the the ads in Youtube and to get the Dialpad popup automatically whenever I open Phone app.:highfive:
Gravity Box
Tinted Status Bar
Here's my set up, Mahdi rom 19/7
SwipeBack (disabled nav bar and using swipe up from bottom as a back gesture, its totally changed the android experience.)
CPUTemp in status bar, this lets me know if some apps are acting up, really handy to have a quick at-a-glance look at my cpu, if the temp is above 50-55 that means something intense is happening, 60+ something really intense such as a 3d game. 40-50 normal temp. It should be below 40 when I'm about to sleep and have it on airplane mode playing a podcast
StatusbarVolume - makes the volume panel a thin bar on the top, non obtrusive when I'm toggling it whilst doing something on the screen, this is just fantastic.
All Notifications Expanded - just my laziness
Complete Action Plus - changes the entire look/feel of the "Open With" pop up, totally customisable and really unmissable once you have it!
Burnt Toast- - shows the app icon in every toast, really cool and neat thing that's hard to miss once you have it
PlayPermissionsExposed - shows all permissions in the new version of play store
ReceiverStop and Wakelock Terminator - both these were used to stop the nlpwakelock problem, I don't remember the specifics but this helps get the phone into deepsleep
StatusbarScrollToTop - really neat feature, don't remember it being in a custom rom
TintedStatusBar - L style before L was a thing, this is what really MAKES the user interface pop
Enable BatteryStats Permission - kitkat disabled batterystats for 3rd party apps like Battery monitor, this re-enables them.
iOS7 X - changes signal/wifi positions similar to ios but keeps the notification icons. I use version 1.02 because it's stable and does what I need it to, along with clock in center.
XDictionary - app that searches for the definition of any word selection, real handy tool
SuggestionsToggle - this is relatively new but makes life easier when trying to enter urls without swiftkey trying to screw them up with spaces!
I'm Not using the usual favourite Gravitybox because most of those features are there in mahdi rom.
Overall, After a long struggle with the galaxy nexus, I can finally say I'm Happy using a smartphone every day!
Here my setup

Hi everyone!
I'm excited to see if we get that precious Android L update on our phones, obviously we all want it running in our devices. And I asume you all have seen the new look of Android L in some "review" on youtube, or maybe you just saw some screenshots of it around the web.
Despite the fact it looks beautiful with Material Design, I was missing some features that, hopefully, I wish they get implemented on the final build of Android Lollipop (surely that will be its name! )
Here is the list.
* Colorizing navigation bar
As we see everywhere, notification bar will be colorizing with every app according to Material Design, but navigation bar seems to stay with black as we see today on KitKat. Hopefully that will change in the future.
* "Clear all notifications" button
We got very used to that magic button that clears all the notifications, when we got a ton of those notifications, that is very useful. But in L preview, that button is missing. Thats another detail I hope to see in final build.
* "Close all apps" button on multitasking screen
L introduces a revamped multitask screen, and now those "cards" got an X button to close one by one, but again, if we have a ton of recent apps, it will be difficult to close them all at once.
* Battery percentage on Quick Settings
One of the goodness introduced since Jelly Bean 4.2 is the Battery tile on quick settings where you can see your battery status, but in L preview that feature is missing. I mean, there is a lot of space to put a simple "65%" text next to the battery icon, isn't it?
See this old leaked screenshot that has battery percentagge: (taken from here)
* Decide which tiles will be on Quick Settings panel
Personally, that wil be very useful, since I'll never use that Cast Screen option and it will be great to change it and replace it with something else.
* WiFi, Bluetooth and Data toggles within Settings
Here in KitKat when you enter Settings you can instantly turn on Wifi without dragging the notification bar and pressing the Quick Settings button. But in L you'll have to enter WiFi menu to turn it on... It will be great to have it like we already have on KitKat, something like this by default:
* Colorizing Overscroll
If overscroll also gets the main app kinda color it will be more elegant, in addition to the new abbility to follow your finger when you drag it all over the screen.
* Built-in call recorder and screen recorder without PC
That obviously will be useful for us!
* "Always awake" option in Settings > Display > Sleep
* Built-in Multiwindow feature
* Different icons on lockscreen
I dont know why but I hate that Lock icon, I'd preffer it to be like the one on KitKat, filled with white color.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know all of this features may be added and included on CyanogenMod12 roms, but it will deffinitely great to have those features on stock AOSP!!!!
Can you think of any other feature you like to see on Android L?? :victory:
Xposed +gravity box +other modules, does all that and much more than that ...
If android L version is just those simple things...

Some guys reported trouble during unlocking bootloaders and rooting, etc. It would be great to have all this features WITHOUT even unlocking bootloader, you know?
No big deal... Let's hope that this new L brings some very good and useful functions, not only those simple mimics that we already have on kitkat!
Also in nexus Android L preview builds its says LMP not Android L. Which means its Lemon Maguire Pie or something like that!
It will rock!
Once we get ROMs like Carbon merging Android L, it will be the perfect balance of beauty and customisation!
As if you gonna send this wishlist to Google.... LOL
And even if somehow you manage to send it, Google gonna take it seriously and fulfill it...
Don't you hate the navbar?
Isn't it way to big and destroys look of the beautiful big screen?
And what about burn-ins?
There's a simple solution.
Completely hide the navbar and use PIE instead.
And it even makes one hand usage easier. Especially for S8+.
You no longer have to try to reach the statusbar or the back or recents button - doesn't matter on which hand you hold the phone.

Info:
This is a no-root solution. This won't trip knox nor will you loose your phones guarantee.
Anyway, all these steps are described as is and everything you do is on your own risk.
Don't blame me if anything goes wrong. But there isn't anything risky at all, so you should be safe.
Step-by-step guide:
Go to PlayStore and download Shortcutter Quick Settings and Pie Control
Go into Android settings and select developer settings at the very bottom (if you don't have it, do the steps described here)
Activate USB-Debugging
Make sure ADB and the needed drivers are installed on your computer. If not, do the 15 seconds installation described here.
Connect your phone to your computer and approve/allow all dialogs coming up on your phone.
Open CMD on your computer and write in the following 'adb shell pm grant com.leedroid.shortcutter android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS' (without asterics)
Wait few seconds. Then you can disconnect your phone again from your computer.
Open the app "Pie Control" you installed before on your phone and select 'Side'.
Activate the option 'ENABLE SIDE AREA' on the top using the slider
Click on the 'Level 1' tab and remove all entries there using the recycle bin icon.
Click on the first entry on Button 1, 2 and 3 and add the navigation buttons ('Tools' > 'Home' / 'Back' / 'Recent apps')
You should now be able to slide from both edges of the screen and the PIE controls with the three important buttons ('Home' / 'Back' / 'Recent apps') should come up
(You might want to change the settings on the 'Level 2' tab as well. I set them to 'Volume control', 'Camera', and 'Notification', which brings up the notification bar)
Next we need to get rid of the navigation bar.
Open the app "Shortcutter Quick Settings" you installed before on your phone and activate the very first option 'Security settings'.
Swipe right and activate "Immersive" (you might deactivate all the others if you don't need them).
Swipe down the status/notification bar with two fingers so that the quick setting tiles come up.
Tap on the three dots on the top right and select the first option.
Drag&drop the 'Immersive' tile from the bottom to the top setting tiles.
Tap on Done on the top right.
Now click on the 'Immersive' tile and then select the last option 'NO NAV'.
We're done!
Here some pictures how some apps look like after these steps and how PIE looks like.
Enjoy!
You do know that the soft keys move to prevent burn in right?
Big fan of pie control though can't live without it!
Sent from my SM-G955U using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Is there still the bug, that keyboard won't show up when navbar is in immersive mode?
No need to scaremonger about burn in (which won't happen by the way), this thread can stand on it's own two feet as pie controls are pretty cool.
People are already complaining about navbar burn ins on reddit, xda, ... and there are also pictures showing the burn-ins.
So there's a reason to worry about it, sadly.
But as @Jonathan-H wrote, Pie on such a big screen looks awesome.
@Bautinho88 yes, the bug happens only when the notification bar is hidden. When hiding only the navbar this doesn't happen.
I think it is funny how a small change can make peeps freak out. Ever consider the top status bar and the static info up there? No burn-in.... It is dynamically the same as the nav bar... It will be ok peeps. Pie control is sweet though!

Anyone trying it?
Beta 1 also known as DP2.
https://www.google.com/android/beta
Taking the plunge right now. I'll report later.
anyone else try it yet? I am assuming it is daily driver ready like N beta was
I am also waiting to see what people are reporting, hoping it's stable. Since I am on a custom rom it's a bit of a pain to load, don't see factory images yet.
I was thinking about trying this Android O beta out. I have a Verizon Pixel running stock (the bootloader is unlocked though). Should I have any issues?
Also, I know if I opt out of the beta, I'll lose all user data but will I lose user data when opting in and upgrading the Android O?

Unlocked bootloader is not a problem, in fact its better to have the option if anything goes wrong.
If you switch to official O when it's out no wipe required. Only if you want to go back to N.
I too am waiting for reports before i put it on my daily. i will be throwing it onto my nexus 6p tonight thought to try it out. if i dont see any bugs that are too bad... i may throw it on the pixel
Really eager to hear about battery life impact here if anyone can provide feedback.
Can anyone give some basic info about stability? I'd love to jump on with my Daily Driver, just if it isn't ready for it, I'll wait. Thanks in advance!

It's a nice beta so far. One thing noticed is double tap to check turn on the black screen but tapping the screen or notification icons won't do nothing and theme option won't switch to Pixel theme, even selecting it. Notification dots is a very good implementation for handling notification in a easily way. Ending my words, another great thing is that now night light have a intensity slider.
Any one has magisk or any root method working on this
Tried to update from latest Android N, didn't boot up, got a data corrupted message during install...
Can I now flash the Android O Factory Image without -w to get it running?
and most people in that tweeter feed can't get it to go either. every time i longpress home it launches assistant. and the setting to allow pip for youtube chrome and google play services are on by default.

Post up your wish-list of custom options for custom ROM's (non OP) and Kernels and I'll add them to the OP.
This is for options that you aren't finding in any ROM, or at least not in your favorite ROM.
Feel free to mention your current ROM if you like but this thread is NOT about which ROM is the best or your favorite.
Please don't turn it into that. :good:
I'll try to bold new suggestions every day or so till the thread gets tired.
*Ability to filter out specific notifications from appearing (ie: NotifyClean)
*Bring "only show running apps" option back to Slim Recents.
*Clearly mentioned in OP if rom supports encryption/decryption.
*Day/Night - Provide option to switch between two different Substratum themes at toggle of a button.
*Fix the earphone bug.
*Fully working OOS camera
*Now Playing features from Pixel 2 XL detect song from lockscreen via ambient
*Option to remove USB Debugging notification is missing on some newer ROM's.
*Ring on charge complete
*Vibration - Would like to have option for more than 100% vibration.
- Clearly mentioned in OP if rom supports encryption/decryption. That is not always the case and people ask many times in the same thread.
- Long press back to kill foreground app.
Fully working OOS camera times 100. Literally the only thing stopping me from switching from OOS betas. I'm aware of the Google Camera functionality and also about all its problems.
Ability to filter out specific notifications from appearing. For example, my wife and I 'share' an Amazon Prime Photos account. I don't want a 'Successfully uploaded photos from your 3rd device' notification every time she uploads something. But I don't want to mute notifications for the whole app (or sometimes even notification group) as I may not get the 'upload progress' notifications' anymore. The Xposed module Notify Clean was perfect pre-Nougat and AutoNotification works alright post-Nougat, but it would be nice if this was baked into the ROM.

Just FYI, this is already available in every custom ROM I've tried so far.
You just have to enable the navigation bar options and then go into the button editor. I set up all my ROM's with this. And set the home button to open camera on long press.

OMG, if NotifyClean ever gets updated for Oreo I will go back to using Xposed again.
I really miss that app and some of the others by that dev. :good:
Hello there,
First off, the only couple things that stopping me to move from stock to a custom rom is the OOS camera (as mentioned above) and mostly the earphone bug. The mic on the phone and the earphones seems to be activated during a call and it gets pretty annoying to hear an amplified background of your environment and the person's on the other end, seems like most custom roms have this problem.
I've also long wanted to see ''ring on charge complete'' on the OP5T.
Thank you for asking.

I think this might be an option using Light Flow?
If you really want it then it might be worth looking into.
It does custom ringtones for certain actions.
And they can be backed up for ROM re-flashes as long as the ringtone is stored in the usual spot /system/media/sounds/etc.

To clarify my personal request here:
*Day/Night - Provide option to switch between two different Substratum themes at toggle of a button.
Click to collapse
A few ROM's provide built in day/night theme options.
But they don't theme apps like phone or calculator or anything else.
They only theme the settings and drop-down and a couple other things.
I want a nice non-tasker hack.
And would be willing to donate for it
