Downgrade to 4.3 with multi rom - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can I flash PA 3.99 ROM with multirom if my internal ROM is 4.4.4? I tried it once but the phone was stuck on the google logo without even going to the bootscreen so I've deleted it.. is it possible somehow? and can I downgrade even without multirom?

I think it is quite simple, I have Mahdi ROM, miui ROM and android l together with multirom and each ROM is working perfectly, you just need to flash the secondary ROM with multirom and don't share kernel and for radio after you flash the 4.3 ROM u just need to set the radio.IMG from recovery in multirom , and choose the 4.3 compatible radio image and you are done, enjoy the power of having a nexus device

OK I've flashed the ROM and it still not booting up, how do I choose the radio image? I saw the option to change the radio image in the recovery but I don't know what to choose..

Oh sorry,ok i think you should start from th scratch,i mean just delete the secondary rom and uninstall multirom and flash the twrp recovery and then again install multirom then let the multirom download the new recovery for you and let it install it first then boot into recovery then in multirom then add secondary rom and flash your rom remember to check don't share kernel then flash gapps on the same rom, oh i forgot to mention that before all this download a 4.3 compaitible radio if it is a cwm flashable zip then extract the modem.img from it ,put it in internal memory ,after flashing the rom and gapps then from recovery in multirom and then list rom then select ur secondary rom and then set boot.img and then select that modem.img file from internal memory, hope it works now

I would flash Oxygen plus the James Bond kernel...just as stable with stock but with extras.
adb shove iPad2post.apk to /forum/thread
Download the stock rom for your model from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056062
and flash by cwm or even stock recovery.

Download the one in the developer's section of the site. It's version 3.60. Wipe the system and SD partitions, flash the ROM and then gapps, and wipe cache and dalvik cache before you restart. That's all you need to do
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Android devices tend to have code names. Eg, “grouper” is the code name for the Nexus 7. “mako” is the code name for the Nexus 4.
So when you go to the PA ROM download site, you’ll see files names like “pa_mako-3.60-24JUN2013-161032.zip”
This means the ROM is Paranoid Android for mako. It’s version 3.60 built on 24 Jun 2013. I’m not sure what’s the relevance of the last 6 digits.
Anyway, it’s probably best to download the latest.
Then just follow the instructions in the PA ROM thread.

No you flash the kernel after flashing the rom. And you install it the same way...flash zip through recovery.

It depends how you flash. When u first flash a custom ROM, or you are switching ROMs it's recommended to do a full wipe/factory reset before flashing. This will wipe apps, settings, etc. But your /sdcard partition will not be wiped. If u simply want to upgrade a ROM, you can dirty flash which means flashing without a full wipe. this allows you to keep all apps and other stuff.

Flash it on xt1033 ? To make it convert to xt1033? Bro this is for XT1032 and there is no problem with signal. You have to flash GB firmware and then flash this rom.

They CAN. For those of you who still don't understand, here's the process:
1. You need to get back to Nougat
2. Use the recovery from @deadman96385
3. Wipe ALL Data
4. Flash the ROM
5. Reboot
- it may say "No OS installed" but just ignore that message and restart anyway
If you want to roll back to stock, you need to flash the stock ROM via fastboot. I don't really like using Mi Flash Tool, so I do it manually (because Mi Flash Tool locks the bootloader).
