Bluetooth connection with BMW 520i

I have I-mate , and updated to ver 1.52 , i try to connect it with the BMW car bluetooth , they can see each other but the car can not bound the i-mate , any body try this , or is there a patch tor that.
any help

I'd like to...if anyone has a BMW 520i to donate i'll be willing to have a go!!

First backup your device
Goto www.clubimate.com
Register Your device
Then you would head to the support section
And download the latest ROM upgrade which is approximately 40 MB
Upgrade your device since the new ROM is said to have a new fix for bluetooth.
And if this works ........ Please Donate !! (Just kidding !!)

if i am not mistaken, the bmw carkit is the same as the parrot ck3000...if so you have a problem (for the moment anyway)
the parrot ck3000 works with the handsfree profile of a bluetooth phone, and the xda2,qtek2020,i-mate and all the other names for our machine only works the headset-profile....it is no use of trying to upgrade the carkit, mine has the latest software, and still does not work...the upgrade has to come from your pda, that has to support the handsfree profile...as i heard, there should be one comming out in the first few months...let's hope...

Simply: NO WAY. Nor will BMW support you in any way: You will not get (in written) even the list of supported phones. They just claim it's lack of Bluetooth standardization (Wich is not completly false...).
BTW, I've found the hard way that BMW cars only support Handsfree profile (No headset), BUT, not on every phone model, and not all features....
If you are interested:
1- Ericsson and Sony-Ericsson T68 models: They work on the handsfree part of the Bonding, but you will not get your phone contact list automatically passed onto the car kit phone system. You may pass contacts one at a time (tedious and time consumming).
2- SE P800: My biggest disappointement, they do not even pair reliably, no contact list at all, connection breaks with no apparent reason.
3- Siemens S-55: The BMW preferred one (Both Germans, I guess....), to no avail. Same behaviour as SE T68, and although the contact list is supposed to be passed automatically it doesn't. When tried manually, it stops at about 6 or 7 contacts and the phone hangs.
4- XDAII: The BT part is SO POORLY implemented, it should have been even removed from the reviews on the forums.

Trinity with Sony Ericsson MBW-100

Anyone managed to pair the bluethooth watch and the Trinity? I've tried it a few times, but it dosn't work(well, I wasn't expecting it to work either, but anyways...)
But the watch is still DAMNED cool!!!

Mirrorlink on Z3 compact

Has anyone already tested the mirrorlink connection to headunits from other manufacturers than Sony?
One year ago, I bought the Pioneer AppRadio 3 to use it with my Samsung device, but since Samsung updated to Android 4.4, Mirrorlink is not longer available.
Therefore, I'm going to buy a Z3 compact, if it works properly...

It should work as long as you don't unlock the bootloader. The loss of the DRM keys causes also the loss of the mirror link capability.

Xperia Z3 Compact Headphone compatibility

I already had older Xperias , and I had problems with the compatibility of headphones ... when the headphone that came with it stopped working , no other headphone I bought worked right . I saw that the Xperia Z3 Compact , at least where I live, comes with a simple phone , and the other from Sony are well expensive for me , as for example one with noise reduction. Would anyone tell me if I have this problem with the Xperia Z3 Compact ? Any headphone that works with him and that is accessible and good do you recommend ? PS : I live in Brazil . Thanks.

All of the headphones should work except the older Nokia/Samsung/Sony specific ones for the Z3C. They use the CTIA spec, so if you're not sure, just check if the headphones use that spec and you're good. The older Xperia's like yours used OMTP (nokia also used it) so that's why you had compatibility problems. they only thing that is not guaranteed is the in-line buttons. Some manufacturers use weird combinations that may not work.

I'm using a HTC headset (for the M7) with 3 button control with mine and it works without issues.

Does this JBL J22I works with Z3c ?

well a quick search says it's made specifically for iphone. and since androids use the same spec as iphone, it should work. probably not the buttons though.

[Q] Walkman 910C or plz help to music geek

Hi there, i need help from you, xda members =)
Small introduction:
I always loved music, but in 2012 i have bought Sony Xperia Z, which has Walkman with ClearAudio+ and from that time on every device i have i installed Walkman with ClearAudio+ from ibanez7. This feature boost y music by 100% and every time i heard any song without it i cried =(
So i bought Note 4 (910C) and now I'am trying to install it, Walkman works fine, but ClearAudio+ and SoundEnhancement doesn't work properly, they does nothing :crying:
I have tried version 3.1 and 3.0 with and without build.prop mods and audio conf Note 3
So plz, if somebody know the solution, help me!:fingers-crossed:
