If someone of the admins find this post unusefull or for any other reason...plz delete this post without any warning.
Would have been great if you could use the "Search" function before posting something. This application has been specified in numerous places.

This doesn't work, or solve the problem I think. It only works when you switch the screen off by pressing the app, not by the actual power button

You are right, it only works if you switch off the screen by hitting the short cut. I am still looking for a solution with the physical off button.

yes i notice that too.. the physical button is not working only by the app shortcut...anyway i use that shortcut i think its easier for me too lock the phone when iam in hurry or when i driving.
On the note 2, you can turn any app into a folder (ie: angry birds into a game folder), by hold, drag, drop into a folder category.
I've tried several methods and searched the topic, but can't find anything for the G2 - is it even possible?

when you're on the menu click "options sign" on the upper right, then you'll see the apps are ready to uninstall, replace or be in a folder with other ones. After that hold which app and drag it onto another thats it

Thanks for the reply,
Which menu are you referring to?
I've checked everything I can think of, and can't find 'options sign' anywhere.

i think you just pick and hold one icon and drop it onto another and it should create a folder... at least thats how it is on most launhcers.

Sory for broken english, i meant main menu. When you are in home screen press menu button thats where i meant. Options sign is the wheel that places on top of the menu

On the stock launcher just grab an app and while holding your finger down just hover it over another and a folder magically appears and it even gives you the option to name it. Its really just that easy.

Hey, I was wondering if there was a way to remove the "Verizon Wireless" marquee from the GS5 lock screen (to the left of the Home button). I'm assuming root is required, but not sure and I didn't see an option in the lock screen settings. Thanks.
Am curious to know this too.

Try this, settings->lockscreen->additional information and make sure it is set to off.

Thanks for the suggestion, but no luck. It would be awesome to remove or edit, but I have my doubts on accessing it.

Thanks for your help. Maybe you can ask a moderator to move this question to the proper place.

OK . . .a long time ago I put the Icon for "Active Apps" on my desktop. I have a friend that wants to do the same. I cannot remember where it originally was so I can tell him where to go to put it on his main screen. He says he cannot find it. However, it's his first experience with any Android Device so I understand.
THANKS!
It's a widget
