the day before i tried this with the network on nfc on, data and wifi off and the consumption was about the same.
i have yet to try flight mode on and nfc off, but i wouldn't think that nfc would use that much.
i use greenify to put a lot of apps to hibernate so they wont wake the phone.
starting to think my battery isnt performing right anymore.

17% in 6.5hrs, airplane mode, no nfc.
the phone is definitely going to sleep.
i could leave the network on and nfc too, difference isnt big at all.
any idea is appreciated. leaning towards bad battery here..

Why not remove all the extra apps, and see if anything changes. Then, you can install one by one when things are clearer.
i would believe if an app cause the drain with the screen off then it is probably causing a wake lock.
which doesnt show at all. is there any otherway an app can drain the battery without wakelock?

I don't really see drain? 2% an hour is not that much. In my opinion it's normal.
If you insist on lowering it, then try the following:
- Different rom
- Different modem
- New battery
And search for some guides to lower your battery usage.
You have to experiment yourself.
it didnt use that much before. in 15 hrs i got a bit over an hour screen time before it hit 0.
anyway, just loaded romswitcher, going to see if it happens with CM too. and airplane mode on.
starting to think the battery is going bad already

I average about 0.5% drain during sleep.
See the link in my signature to find out how. I've got a whole guide.
Have you checked the serial number on your battery? If it starts with BD then it's stuffed Samsung should still swap it for free I think.
thanks for all the replies guys.
yes 0.5 drain should be normal when it sleeps.
just tried this using CM rom and it looks all good there, so its not the battery.
going to remove some experimental settings in greenify to see if that helps.

my battery does not drain my opinion.
So your battery goes from 100% to 0% in a little over 3 hours? You need a new battery.
Nah man it was fine before.. just after this rom its dying like crazy, its not as bad as 100-0 in 3 hrs tho.
every once in a while I stumble on a Rom / Kernel combination that does this. It could also be a rouge app that is being reported as system.
Try this: install OSMonitor (because the system doesnt give you specific details) and in the setting have it sort by load, then find out what is taking the most percentage of CPU. Long press on that item and select Watch Log. See if there are errors or redundant messages that keep popping up. That will find your issue.

hey man thats very helpfull, thanks so much..LOl but i just flashed back to evils sense rom.. so lemem see if this is consistent. Thanks man.
I get great battery using miui ROM with kernal 2.6.35.4 [email protected]#12. ALSO let battery drain completely and charge fully without turning it on. Then boot to recovery and wipe battery stats. Conditioning and the right kernal / ROM combo has my battery holding up great! Hope it helps! =D

+1, with setcpu
I'd suggest you try CM6 and SetCPU. Both have dramatically helped increase battery life for my N1. I never used to get one whole day's worth backup before, but now I do, sometimes a little more than 24hours (when not used quite a lot).
For me, I found the biggest battery drain to be signal strength.. Even more so than 3G/WiFi or brightness. In an area with low cell signal, the antenna seems to be constantly trying to reconnect and it kills my battery life in a couple hours. If im in an area with strong signal, I can leave everything on (gps, wifi, bt, 3g) and get all day service easily.

Take a look I am running SC 2.4 and I had my data on and I went to 79 percent battery in a little over an hour mostly on standby just now I charged my phone to 100 percent and its at 90 while leaving wifi on and a phone call

EB01 has a bug in its sensor code, so turning off AutoRotate will help. It's still not a WHOLE lot better, but it's at least serviceable that way.
Hopefully, the rumors about the update/OTA were true, and we'll see an updated build (EB09 is sticking in my brain for some weird reason, but don't take that as anything real) that fixes the sensor code and anything else that's eating up battery.
Did you do all the flashing when at 100% battery? It's possibly your battery stats are just inaccurate.
Let the phone charge to 100%, then with the phone still plugged in, shut it down so you get JUST the charging screen, and let that go to 100%. Then, boot into CWM and delete battery stats, and then go back to the powered-off-charging-screen and let it go back to 100%, then boot back into your OS. Some people recommend draining the battery most all the way, then charging it back up, but I'm not sure if that's really necessary.
Also, apparently there's a GPS bug in EB01 which causes it not to sleep, which'll drain your battery fast as well (though I don't see the GPS icon on your screen). You might also have some battery hog in the background slaughtereing battey life (the battery use screen might be able to lend some help for that).
Try using an app called juice defender, I found it to help my battery a lot.
SC 2.4 hides the icon.
I was getting a wakelock from Android System earlier today, but that has finally resolved itself and my phone is sleeping now.
I am not a noon so I know about wiping batt stats and did that I have used juice defender before but I just don't see a whole reason that it should drain that quick

No issues with battery life AT ALL with EB01. In fact, the BEST battery life I've EVER gotten, even better than Adrynalyne's UV kernels (no offense bud)
Yesterday, I unplugged around 10, got off work work at 830, was home by about 930, and STILL had some 34% left, 11 hours later. I'VE NEVER been able to go that long on a single charge. And I leave auto-rotate on.
What REALLY helped me, was turning off the GPS when not in use. MAN....what a difference !!!!
Hello folks,
I've had the Rogers Galaxy S 5 for about a week now, and since day 1 I have noticed excessive battery drain by "Android System". This source of drainage occurs especially during idle periods of time causing me to experience rather poor battery performance.
This here is a sample of what my battery stats look like at any given time, notice "Android System" is virtually always the number 1 source of battery consumption.

I executed a factory reset on the second day of ownership to examine whether this drain would be solved. It wasn't.
I went to bed, and woke up in the morning to check Gsam Battery monitor which gave me this chart:
Notice the part I highlighted in red which demonstrates the overnight battery usage!
Also, GSAM battery monitor still displays "Android System" as the source of the drain.
Among my colleagues I am the only one experiencing this phenomenon, and I am going to factory reset for the third time right now.
Going to run the stock firmware to see whether I am still experiencing this.
I will report back with any new findings soon, hold on tight to your seats!

I suggest you do the following,
-Disable Location in the notification drop down
-Turn off Hot Word detection for Google Voice Commands.
-Disable bloatware
-Turn off always active WiFi in advanced WiFi settings.

AND,
Try giving it a week to 'settle' without resetting it...
It needs to figure itself out...
All my family member noticed significantly better battery AFTER 1st week.

Certainly performed all of the above right after factory reset! Battery still dropped over 10% overnight on standby.

Does this seem like normal battery life for the OP2? Had a OPO before and got slightly better battrey. Running stock Oxygen OS ATM with Boeflla Kernel and ZZIMMELP profile. Data + wifi on, screen 50%, gps off. Cheers lads!

For me that's bad. Uninstall facebook, eats your battery, use Facebook with a browser.

you cant say if its bad or not
1) you are using facebook - battery killer number one
2) you used spotify alot so you used a lot of mobile data - another big battery killer
3) is it with or without wifi all the time? cause signal is also another battery drain indicator if you are moving much during the day you will lose more battery cause your mobile phone change signal positon
i think its preety good for the setup with using spotify and facebook app - i got 1 1/2 hour with 50% left after a 12 hours without wifi and 6 hours without using the phone cause i am sleeping

I know about Facebook, may give the browser a go for a while! Regarding Spotify, 90% of my music is stored offline, so I suppose I should just put it in offline mode to try save a bit of battery. (I've unlimited data) and yeah, WiFi only has signal at home. I'll keep it off while I'm out.
Anyone have this issue, after 3 reboot i have this

I purchased my 6P roughly 2 weeks ago and I'm not seeing this amazing battery life of everyone else's.. The best I've gotten was 4hrs screen on time with 25% battery remaining. I've tried tons of ROM and kernel combinations, as well as being on stock with locked bootloader, the battery life seems worse with kernels, and the same with stock based Roms. Below is my current SOT with stock rooted, stock kernel. Is there something wrong with my battery? Considering calling huawei for a new battery? This is pretty **** battery. My galaxy S5 had better. I constantly check my CPU States, it does deep sleep perfectly fine. No abnormal wakelocks, I don't even have Facebook installed. The 4 hr SOT I did achieve was with greenify and amplify, which I don't think I need for a phone with this kind of battery...

Depends on a few things. Could be a rogue app, wifi wakelock, or really poor signal.
You could try stock and no apps for a day and see how it performs then.

the apps i use are twitter, whatsapp, tapatalk, slide for reddit, snapchat, instagram, open camera, and neko atsume. thats pretty much it. Of course cpu spy for monitoring, and sometimes i do notice wifi taking up a bit of battery, but even if i disable it and it goes away, the battery life is still poor. I have a moto 360 and I usually have it paired via bluetooth. I also use google now but i set the GPS mode to either device only or battery saving mode. reverting to bone stock google images locked bootloader to see if it makes a difference, again.. even if the wifi isnt draining.. still is poor. I did monitor my signal and i get very good LTE signal all over my city, so I can rule that out. Would huawei honour this request? I am located in Canada if it matters. Also i dont think its app related because i use the same apps on my S5 and the battery is better on it, which doesnt make sense.
Have you tried turning off WiFi scanning and Bluetooth scanning? They're pretty much useless but consumes battery.
Go to Settings > Location > Menu > Scanning > toggle both settings off

So I have had my phone on for two days now and charged back to 100 of course. Total screen on time over that period is 3 hrs.. This is brutal. Phones at 58% right now. I'm noticing this (screen shot) is this the culprit and does huawei do warranty in Canada?
