Anyone else has a similar issue? I've always had this issue ever since I started using the s4. Even on a close to clean state (after factory resetting and installing minimal apps). Can someone please point me to a possible issue? I thought of exposed. But even with it disabled it sometimes happens.

So before the most recent OTA, I had started to get random reboots on my Nexus 7. They would happen at any time, with no perceivable pattern triggering them. After the update, the random reboots seem to have gone away.
Now there is just one problem remaining: every time I uninstall an app it causes my device to suddenly reboot. It is reproducible every single time I uninstall something.
Has anyone else encountered this, and if so did you find a solution other than doing a factory reset? I'd really like to avoid doing a reset since I share this device with my wife (two profiles).
PS - I am running on stock ROM with root using Koush's root app.
Actually, the second profile might be part of the problem, among many other potential causes.

So I just tried to uninstall something on my wife's profile, and it works fine. When I uninstall an app on my (primary) profile, it reboots. I tried calling Google, but they just suggested doing a factory reset.
I also tried clearing the cache, but that didn't help.

My VS980 for the third time now randomly started lagging and hanging. By that I mean the main watch on accuweather hangs, sending text messages and downloading hangs, and just switching through home screens and app list the screen freezes and then unfreezes. Apps barely boot and social, calendar widgets do not update, and typing freezes after every word for about 3 seconds. Restart and safe mode do not fix this problem. The previous 2 times I did a hard reset but it seems to only fix the issue for about 5-7 days, but those are annoying, so is there any other solutions or anyone aware of this such type problem?
Is there some certain program you keep re-installing that could be causing issues? Have you tried any custom roms?

Definitely sounds like a rogue program running in the background. My advice is for you to do a hard reset, then install apps one at a time (run it, of course), and find out which program is causing an issue. An alternative is that you google each app to see if others using the same apps have issues.
I got this phone recently from insurance, could it be something in Kernel issue or something else? I did another hard reset, I'll look out for any apps, but it happened randomly without any downloads or installs. I have no custom roms, and I only have news apps and 3 games from EA.
Question - Could this possibly be spawned by originally having rooting problems? The phone was sort of frozen on my first root attempt for some unknown reasons, the command box suddenly froze and the android icon was frozen, I had to restart my phone and attempt root again even though the previous root attempt started and was cut off, and the first time the lag issue happened was the next day. Do you think I should try un-rooting and re-rooting my phone? Or is that irrelevant.

Are you running any custom roms, kernel, mods? Recovery installed?
Possibly a modem problem
I had this problem on my G2, and changing my modem seemed to fix it. I was using EUR KK modem even though I'm in the Middle East. Try changing to your region specific modem and then it can fix it, a dalvik/normal cache wipe can help. If all fails then try wiping, or switching roms.
Hey everyone,
I couldn't find anything about this in the TMobile Galaxy S5 forum or the unified thread, but I've been using the nightly CM11 for weeks now, but every so often the phone will freeze for no reason (not performing any consistent tasks). Also I noticed that when the screen is off and I get a notification, sometimes the vibration will "freeze" and won't stop vibrating until I turn on the screen. Has anyone else had these issues? I'm not running a custom kernel or anything, and I did a completely fresh install about a week ago to solve the issues, to no avail.
Anyone?
Over the weekend Lightflow was being wonky. Showing I had notifications when I had none.
So I uninstalled it, and hit restart to let the phone refresh..
Upon doing so, it bootlooped.... I think. After 3-4 minutes it came up with a Force Close window and said "System is Not Responding would you like to close? [Wait][OK]"
Has anyone else seen this or experienced it first hand?
As a fix, I removed the battery and let it set for a minute or so. Re-assembled, powered on, and it took a minute or so to boot fully after the removal of Lightflow and the bootloop, I think...
As the system hadn't loaded, I was unable to get SS's.. But does anyone have any insight on this?
Question: Do you have a Developer edition ? How are you on 5.0.1?
But the system not responding issue has also happened to me. Fixed it with a battery pull.
Not sure what causes the problem though. Maybe check logs?
This is not a new issue for me but only just thought about posting about it.
Often when I reboot the phone, the always on display does not start when the screen is turned off, even though it is still enabled in settings. I often have to reboot the phone several times to get the feature to start working.
Not only that, recently I've been having random full system ui crashes, forcing me to reboot which usually triggers the previously mentioned issue.
I'm using substratum and LG package disabler and it might be one of those that's causing the issue.
Just wondering if anyone is having the same issue and how it can be fixed, preferably without a factory reset because I recently had to do that due to another issue.
Thanks.
