[Q] Zte V880...Cannot get into CWM.....but phone working fine.......

If anybody can help me.................
My idea blade(Zte V880) is not booting in CWM recovery mode. My phone is normally booting and working but it refuses to boot in recovery mode.
Bcoz of that i cannot take backup of my phone nor i can flash custom rom. It is stuck at android logo when i try to boot in revovery mode...........

Are u sure u flashed the correct recovery for ur GEN? Try experimenting with different recovery versions. I think its the last option when u open the ROM manager app

Oh and btw, hold the volume DOWN button while booting. The android comes when ur holding volume UP

Had the same thing on mine. And as Ice Cream said, you gotta try different CWM recoveries. Worked for me, and now I'm about to flash ICS

latest CWM version should be 5.0.2.0 mate i have found not problems with this recovery version and my phone version is GEN2 if you need any help let me know mate

I had the same problem, it happened to me when i dowloaded cw via data connection, not using wifi. usually with the cw i download from wifi i can boot into that but still it doesn't work ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22440894 ) :/

im a newbie here.. i have some question please help me with this thing...
this day i finally decided to use this " ►►[AOSP] 4.3 - S4 Google Edition - v6 - Feel the Experience of Nexus◄◄ " on my Samsung galaxy s4..
the question is...
i already do his step explanation Flashing:
1. Disabled your Sim-Pin
2. Boot to your recovery
3. Wipe data and cache
4. Install the zip
until the 4th step.. its failed.. theres some kind of red notification in the instalation. " E: signature ... failed " if im not wrong... and i tryied to use ROM manager to instal it...
and why i cant find any zip on it..?
how to flashing my s4 if theres a problem like this?
please help me with some intsruction.. i am really a newbie here... i hope u guys can lend me a help ^_^.. thanks before for reading this and replying to help me

What file did you try to flash if you can't find the rom you (hopefully) downloaded? Do you know witch recovery you are using?

i guess i was using ROM manager apk if im not wrong mention it...theres instal ROM from SD card option... when i put the Zip on it wipe and clean.. theres a option to reboot on sistem recovery...
is like Android system recovery (3e) theres no option for installing or anything
-reboot system now
=apply update from ADB
-aply update from exxternal storage
-wipe cehck partition
-aply update from cache...
i guess thats all... am i entering wrong recovery mode?sorry for if im too noob at this

I think Before you can flash a rom with rom manager, you will need a custom recovery.
there are a couple to chose from :
TWRP
CWM
CWM Philz Touch
The creator from the google rom rom wich you want to flash gave no specific one, so you can pick one and all three should work. i'm using philz touch at the moment.
The custom recovery must be flashed from pc with odin, if you never used odin before, you need to install usb drivers / or 'kies' first.
If you never used Odin, then make sure you read a little first on how to use it, it's simple but can give bootloops or worse if not used well.
Since you have to flash this recovery you might as well flash it from there? it's easier i think and has more options then rom manager.
turn off phone -> press volume up - menu button - power button at the same time wich will open custom recovery and from there follow the guidelines from the google edition v6 topic on how to flash it.
-> Inside the custom recovery there is an option for backup, i suggest if this is your first custom rom tryout, that you make a backup in that custom recovery before trying, like that you can't do much wrong while testing

-> owyess, those custom recoverys are for i9505, if you have an i9500 or other device, DON't flash these but get your own version at the 'original android development' threads from your device

Need guidance please

I am on stock ROM rooted one i got some issue in stock launcher it keeps restart when i click home button. I did reset factory but same happen after linking Google account when i click next step it again restarted. sometimes it stuck on Gionee logo.
So first I'm downloading ROM provided by @NHS2008

Please need help what thing i should do ?

Download recovery tool from playstore..open it and flash the cwm recovery that u ve downloaded.

I am not sure..but I think u can try fastboot method to flash..cwm..

I've been using the paranoid android ROM on my LG P705, but decided to go back to the stock ROM.
I've flashed the V10D_00.kdz file and the stock kernel, but my phone got in a bootloop.
Now I can't enter recovery to flash another kernel and try to fix it. If anyone knows a way to flash and enter CWM again, please help me.

No other solution is to flash thru kdz.
Just search here on our forum for kdz.

Before flashing a kdz to downgrade you must wipe data and format system, if you didnt do it before try the hard reset combo and it shoukd boot, else you must flash a different kdz

Yeah, i've done all of this, I've already used many roms in this phone and others too, but always with CWM. This time I tried to flash the stock kernel, without CWM, and now I don't know what to do for my computer to recognize it as a phone again and flash CWM to restart.
I've only found ways to hard reset with the phone and debbuging mode on or by CWM. Do you know any post that explains how to do by other way?

I couldn't find a way to flash other kdz that wasn't by CWM or phone and debbuging mode on.
As I can't turn my phone on and don't know how to flash CWM on this way, I'm stuck..

You can flash CWM fron FASTBOOT, but to boot into fastbbot you need an unlocked bootloader and if you havent cwm probably you are on a locked bootloader.
There is no other way, so flash a new different KDZ that include and unlocked bootloader and CWM

D800 Originally was on kitkat and tried to install Cloudy 3.3
Everything went fine including root, AutoRec, KK and Cloudy 3.3. But after installing cloudy 3.3 and when I restarted, it just does not boot at all.

First of All thanks to gamertwo1, who helped me and saved my Phone. The instructions he gave should be the sticky to Cloudy installation instructions.
Here are few more details if anyone wants to install cloudy3.3 on D800.
1. I followed this instruction for installation.
2. Also you need two more zip which gamretwo1 has mentioned bellow.
By any chance if you miss above step #2, during installation process, there is a way to install those process. Get yourself to recovery mode during boot, and if you want to copy those 2 missing zip files, either you use usb-ota and mount during recovery...or on same recovery...use this guide to copy the files to your phone.

I've gone through the same situation.
All you need to do is when you turn on your mobile LG logo appears and go very quickly but you have to catch it go to recovery.
With the KK bootloader and custom recovery already installed, you need to do the following:
1. Wipe System + Data + Cache + Dalvik Cache (Do not modify the Internal Storage)
2. Flash CloudyG2 3.3 (Do NOT reboot at the end of the installation)
3. Flash ROM-patch-v1.4-lp30f-d800-blastagator-signed.zip ( http://blastagator.ddns.net/d800_rom_patch.php )
4. Flash boot-permissive-lp-d800-devnull-signed.zip ( http://blastagator.ddns.net/d800_rom_patch.php )
5. Reboot

How do I download other 2 zip file u mention in recovery

Hey. I am facing the same issue, but my phone is F320L. Any Idea what i can do to save my device. I just get the black screen after LG logo. Have access to recovery and everything.
