Have been running Cloudy G3 for a while on my D800 with no problems. Just last night I switched to ART instead of Dalvik, because i saw that the 1.2 version of CLoudyG3 supported it. Immediately my phone went black and has been unresponsive. l cannot even get it the LG logo to pop up. It came up once, but never again. its as if it is completely lifeless... Only mod i was running was Exposed mainly for the APM and Lockscreen flashlight.
Happened to my g3 just now, i almost had a heart attack. Earlier today i switched to ART. What i did was take off the battery and put it back and it started just fine. I wonder if ART was the problem, before it became unresponsive and screen turned off i was playong with zooper widget. I hope someone.can give us an answer to why this happened. Oh im using stock im not rooted jtlyk.

I flashed the stock ICS rom with CF root kernel the day they came out and everything went fine. However, there is something strange that happened to me twice so far. At random times and while the phone was locked (lockscreen) when I tried to unlock it and use it the screen goes crazy and it becomes blurry with numbers and lines and colors blending like crazy (reminds me of the matrix film with the numbers running down). This happened to me twice and only with the ICS rom and it goes away with a hard reset.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Hard reset?? on ICS?? if im not mistaken thats factory reset??
Switch Off

Switch Off CRT Animation, in custom rom it is built-in, no idea for stock though.
Yes. I've experienced this too. Just two times in about two weeks, nothing to worry about, though. Pressed the on/off button and the glitch went away. Seems to be a problem with the graphic driver. Or maybe just a Touchwiz launcher problem on ICS, don't really know.
I'm on a unrooted ICS (updated via Kies) Note.

Same thing happened to me once while browsing on the default browser and rotated screen from portrait to landscape : colored lines salad, not responding to middle button or touch buttons. After turning screen off then on everything was fine again.
Stock LPY rooted, flashed with Mobile Odin Pro.
Same happened to me. Default unrooted ICS, Kies-updated.
So it appears that this occurs whether someone has rooted their device or not. Hopefully Samsung will publish a stable ICS built to end this barrage of issues with the new Firmware experienced by many. It feels like we are Beta testers on this device.
Hi,
My G2 (European) was recently updated to Kitkat and I am not sure if immediately after update it started to have this issue or its unrelated. Nevertheless, now if I try to open any file attached to a gmail message, I just get a black screen.
My friend has LG L9 II and just started to have the same problem a day ago. (He doesnt know if he has Kitkat or not.)
Any hints, what causes it?
Also, after Kitkat the phone started to freeze sometimes, it never did before. And of course, it wont play any more embedded Flash objects.
I am through already 10 smartphones at least, but NEVER had a single happy op.system update... unfortunately the G2 got also to be a worse phone than it was before.
So I've been having some issues with my LG G2 as of late. I've had this phone since June of 2014, and I love it, however, lately I've been having some peculiar problems popping up.
The biggest issue, I suppose, is this: My phone randomly reboots, a lot, but it's only when I'm away from home (as odd as that sounds), and only when I'm running a custom ROM. I've tried CM11/12, SlimROM and AOSP, all with the same random rebooting issue from seemingly out of nowhere. If I flash to stock, it doesn't happen, but this is the second issue; the battery life on the stock ROM is absolutely horrid for some reason now, and it never was before. Just from letting my phone sit, without touching it, I get ~7 hours of standby time, and with normal usage I get maybe 5 hours, tops. With a custom ROM, I have no issue letting it go 2-3 days without charging it.
I've done a full flash back to stock on multiple occasions, as well as running through the various custom ROMs floating around, and the issues still persist.
Anyone have any ideas?
Hi, my gs4 (at&t) just recently started rotating the wrong way. When I try to watch netflix, the picture is upside-down, and when I flip the phone to try to see the picture, it flips upside down again. Pretty much everything I do on the thing is flipped by 180°. I've scavenged the internet for fixes but found nothing that worked. I tried all of the re-calibration apps and nothing! One thread said the kernel was bad and flashing one called ktoons(probably didn't spell it right, don't really remember). I bought the phone used and it was already rooted and stuck on 4.4.2 kitkat firmware. I followed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-to-update-to-i337oc3-5-0-1-keeproot-t3075814 and upgraded to 5.0.1 lollipop using flashfire and odin. Even after upgrading the rotation is completely backwards. I don't believe the Gyro/accelerometer is bad because it still rotates but just backwards. If you have any information on flashing stock kernel let me know!
Vid to show the rotation in action... https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=J5I7kI6IS2M&app=desktop
-Thanks!
Hi there,
My cousin had LG G2 as his previous phone, and he flashed a ROM(I don't remember which one), and the ROM was working perfectly fine except it had random reboots sometimes.
He found an app that kept running in background or something like that, and it kept stopping the random reboots.
He has forgotten the name of app, and he couldn't find it nowhere.
I'm sorry for such a short explanation, but that's all I could remember(he as well).
I want to test that app on a ROM I will be using, and see if it works.
Thank you, preliminary!
